2 Access VALO Commerce To access VALO Commerce, go to Before your first login, you will need to click the Create an Account link. You are taken to a User Information screen. Fill out all the necessary information (required fields are marked with asterisks), being sure to enter your company address in the field. Note that passwords must be at least eight characters long, including at least one uppercase letter and at least one number. Click Submit. A message displays informing you that your account request has been submitted. You will then receive a Self Registration Approval . Click the link provided to verify your address. Update Your User Profile A Success message displays, indicating that your registration is complete. Click the Home Page button to proceed to the login screen. You can now access VALO Commerce using your address and the password you submitted. To access your profile, hover over the user icon with your name at the top of the screen and click User Profile. Here you can view and modify your basic user information, including your default shipping address. Click the gear icon to edit any portion of the screen. You can also view and edit Quick Fills on your user profile screen (Quick Fills are discussed in the Customize a Variable Print Product section). Note: Quick Fills are product-specific and must be saved per item. Manage Addresses If you need to store a list of shipping addresses beyond the default address saved in your profile, access the Address Book option available from your user menu. Note: Addresses must be added to the Address Book prior to placing an order. You will not be able to add a new Address Book entry from the checkout screen. Click the icon to enter a new address. When filling out address information, select the Default Shipping Address checkbox if this address should default on the Commerce checkout screen. Any changes made to your default shipping address in the Address Book area update your user profile accordingly. 2
3 The address designated as your default shipping address displays in bold. Click the gear icon to modify an address or the trash can icon to delete it. You cannot delete your default shipping address. All addresses listed here are available for selection on the checkout screen. Browse the Catalog To find a particular type of item, you can browse the categories in the navigation pane on the left side of the screen, or you can enter a keyword in the search field. Use the following options in the upper right corner of the screen to sort and reorder the list: alphabetically or by price. Select a Sort By option to arrange the products Use the and buttons to toggle between the default grid view and a more compact list view. The list view displays the unit of measure for each product. Hover over a product Name in the list view to see the product image. Click the number to determine how many products display on each page. Note: The price that displays for an item in the product list represents the price of the lowest quantity that can be ordered. For example, if a product has a minimum order quantity of 2, the price that displays is for 2 items. Click on any of the products listed to open the product detail screen. If you would like to be able to locate this product easily in the future, click the Add To Favorites button. You can access all items marked as favorites by clicking the Favorites link in the Categories list. When you view a product, breadcrumbs display across the top of the screen showing the category and subcategory you are currently in. 3
4 To return to the Commerce home screen at any time, click the Ferguson logo the page header. Add Items to Your Cart There are three ways to add an item to your shopping cart: Type a quantity and click the shopping cart button in the product list. If the shopping cart icon includes a gear, it means the product requires customization, and you are taken to product detail to make your selections. See the Customize a Variable Print Product section for more information. in Enter the desired quantity in the Add to Cart section of product detail. If you know the product s Product ID, use the Quick Entry function available from the product list. A shopping cart displays in the upper right corner of the screen. You can hover over the cart at any time to review its contents. Click Checkout when your order is complete. (See the Place an Order section.) The shopping cart does not display unless you have added at least one item to your order. Customize a Variable Print Product Several products require customization before they can be added to an order, meaning you must enter the data you wish to print. If a product requires customization, a gear displays on the shopping cart icon in the product list. 4
5 When you open the detail screen for a variable print product, a data entry window displays, prompting you to enter the required information. If you will be ordering this product again in the future and using the same information, click the Save Quick Fill button at the bottom of the window. You are prompted to enter a name for the Quick Fill. The next time you order this item, you will be able to select the Quick Fill from the Choose Quick Fill dropdown and all your information will immediately default. Note: Because Quick Fills are productspecific, it is recommended to incorporate the product name or product ID in the Quick Fill name. This will make it easy to identify in your user profile. Click Update to update the product preview based on the information you entered. If you need to make any changes to the information, click the Edit button preview to reopen the data entry window. at the top of the When you are satisfied with the preview, enter the desired quantity and add the item to your cart. You can access a list of all your saved Quick Fills and the products they are used for in your user profile. To modify a Quick Fill, click the Edit button the X. Place an Order. Make sure you review the notifications listed at the top of the screen. You can modify item quantities or remove items before finalizing your order. (Click the trash can icon to remove an item.) Your default shipping address displays in the Shipping Address section, but if you need to change the shipping destination, you can click the book icon your Address Book. You can also type in an address. In the Payment Information section, enter the 4-digit code corresponding to your branch location. (For a Canadian location, enter ) to select from any of the addresses saved in Click Place Order to review your order information before finalizing. When you click Approve, a confirmation is sent that includes your order number and additional details. Once your order has shipped, you receive a shipment notification that includes tracking information. You can review previous orders at any time by accessing the Order History screen available in your user menu. 5
6 Contact Us To request assistance or report issues, click the Support/Feedback link on the right side of the screen. In the window that displays, provide as much information as possible about the issue as well as your name and address. Click Submi to send your question to a VALO Support specialist. Note: When submitting feedback, please enter a separate ticket for each issue or request. 6
