5 CHAPTER 1 Introduction The PlacementsPlus Owner Administrators Guide is a practical handbook that describes the functionality available in the administration module of the PlacementsPlus application and provides detailed instructions on how to complete tasks. Understanding PlacementsPlus PlacementsPlus is a Web based application used by account owners (credit grantors and debt buyers) and agencies (collection agencies and attorneys) to exchange consumer receivables and facilitate placing and managing contingency accounts. Owners maintain control over the distribution of accounts to their agencies, attorneys, their in house collection departments and even debt buyers. The owners also control commission rates. With PlacementsPlus, owners have quick access to any agencies that belong to the PlacementsPlus network. Overview With PlacementsPlus, agencies can communicate with owners about accounts on which they are working, and they can view reports to access information about their accounts. The PlacementsPlus service provides the following: Assigns accounts to agencies based on rules and constraints defined by the owner. Transfers accounts to the identified agency or attorney, and, where appropriate, supports the automated recall, re evaluation, and redistribution of the account. Provides enhanced performance monitoring and reporting. Improves operational efficiencies by providing a tool for maintaining exceptions online. For additional fees, PlacementsPlus can also provide the following: Scrubbing for bankrupt and deceased accounts. Attaching NCOA (National Change of Address) and other information. 45 CHAPTER 8 Working with Data Access Group Administration With the Data Access Group control, you can create groups that can be used to assign rights to users based on their access to data. For example, if your company has a head office with multiple organizations under the head office, you can use the Data Access Group functionality to define different entity groups that belong to the head office. You can then assign user access by these groups so that users can only access data that belongs to the groups to which they have access rights. Because you can create multiple groups for a single company, the organizations can be assigned to multiple groups. You can also use these groups to filter the information that isprovided in many of the reports. Figure 13.
