How to Create a New Guide: Step by Step Introduction This topic walks you through the entire process of creating a Selection Guide using the Selection Guide Creator. If you need help with a particular step, choose that step from the left. Otherwise, click the Next button to start at the beginning. Navigating the Selection Guide Dashboard When you first access the Selection Guide Creator, you have access to your Selection Guide dashboard. Your dashboard can include three tabs: Guide List, Sample Guides and Shared Guides. Guide List The Guide List tab allows you to access the selection guides that you have created. You can sort your guide list by Guide Name or Date, using the arrows at the top of those columns. The Output column allows you to quickly access the output(s) that you have created for each completed selection guide. If the guide has not been completed, the Output column says Draft. If your guide can be edited, you can do so by clicking the Edit link in the Actions column. Draft guides and guides that either do not include a website output or include a website output that no one has been invited to view yet can be edited. Once you have invited users to the website version of a guide, you can no longer edit it, but you can make a copy and create a new guide. When you edit a guide, you can make modifications to any step you have completed, simply by choosing that step from the Progress Menu on the left. Page 1 of 22

TIP: Copying an existing guide is a quick and easy way to create a new guide. It allows you to start with something that is close to what you want and then you just need to make the necessary changes, such as replacing some of the products. This can be much faster than creating a new guide from Step 1. You can copy an existing guide by clicking the Copy link in the Actions column. You will be prompted to enter a name for the new copy of the guide and you will need to click the Copy button. The new copy will appear in your Guide List. You can share one of your guides with other users and view the sharing details for that particular guide by clicking the Sharing link in the Action column. To learn more about sharing guides, view the Sharing Your Guide with Other Users topic. Page 2 of 22

You can also delete any guides that you no longer need by clicking the Delete link in the Action column. It will prompt you to ensure that you really want to delete that guide. Deleting a guide completely removes it from the system, which means you will not be able to access it again after it has been deleted, so only delete guides that you are sure you will not need. Any guides that you have completed will also have a Manage Invitations link in the Actions column. That link takes you directly to Step 11: View Output, where you can check the status of users you have invited, as well as send out additional invitations. For more information on managing invitations, view the Managing Your Online Selection Center topic. Sample Guides The Sample Guides tab includes sample guides that you can copy and use as starting points for your own guides. The Output column allows you to view the output(s) that have been included in the sample guide. In the Actions column, you can click Copy to create a copy of the sample guide. This prompts you to enter a name for the guide that you are copying, and then it places your new copy in your Guide List tab. This is your own guide, so you can make any modifications that you want and manage it like your other guides. Page 3 of 22

Shared Guides The Shared Guides tab allows you to manage guides that other users have shared with you. It also includes a complete history of all of the guides that you have shared with others. This tab only appears after you have shared guides with other users or if other users have shared guides with you. The Guides Shared With You section lists the guides that other users have shared with you. You can sort these guides by Guide Name or Date, using the arrows at the top of those columns. The Output column allows you to view the output(s) that have been included in that guide. In the Actions column, you have two options: Move to Guide List and Delete. If you choose Move to Guide List, you are prompted to rename the shared guide as shown below: The shared guide is added to your Guide List tab, where you can manage it like any of your other guides. It is removed from the Shared Guides tab. You can also choose to delete a guide from your shared guides. It will prompt you to ensure that you really want to delete that guide. Deleting a shared guide removes it from your Shared Guides tab. The Guides That You Have Shared section gives you a complete history of your guide sharing. You can sort these guides by Guide Name or Share Date, using the arrows at the top of those columns. Page 4 of 22

Choosing to Create a New Guide To create a new guide, click Create a New Guide at the bottom of your Guide List tab. It will prompt you to provide a name for your new guide; enter the name of your guide as you want it to appear in your Guide List and click Continue. Step 1: Select Design This first step allows you to pick the general look and feel for your guide. Select the Brand Design template you want to use, and then click Continue. If you want more than one brand, select the Multi-Brand option. Page 5 of 22

Step 2: Choose Output Formats This step allows you to define which output format(s) you want to create. The system allows you to create a PDF, a Custom Website or a Quick Pick guide. A CSV file containing all of the product information is automatically generated for each guide that you create. Check the desired output formats and then click Continue. Step 3: Define Cover Page/Home Page Content This step allows you to define the content on the cover. Answer the questions to identify the custom content that you want to include on the cover page of your PDF or Quick Pick, or the home page of your Online Selection Center, and then click Continue. The image on the right indicates where that information would be displayed in a PDF output format. Page 6 of 22

The questions are: 1. Do you want to show your company logo? This allows you to include your company logo in the guide. You can upload a new logo, choose a logo that you have uploaded for another guide or select a logo from the Master Logo Library. 2. Do you want to add a custom product selection message about how users should select products? This allows you to add your own instructions about how the products should be selected from the guide. This only appears if you choose the PDF or Custom Website output. 3. Do you want to show an overall custom message? This allows you to add a company message to your guide. This only appears if you choose the PDF or Custom Website output. 4. Do you want to show your company contact information? This allows you to add your company s contact information to the guide. 5. Do you want to show your sales rep s information? This allows you to add your sales rep s information to the guide. Note: The next series of steps are based on the outputs you selected in step 2; you ll only see the steps for the output format(s) that you selected. Page 7 of 22

Step 4A: Add PDF Cover Page Content This step allows you to enter the custom cover page content that you selected to include in your guide and view how it will appear in the PDF output. To enter your custom content, do the following: 1. Click on the content box that you want to enter in the Preview area, which is the main part of the screen. That field automatically opens in the Content Entry area on the left. 2. Fill in the fields in the Content Entry area. 3. When you are finished, click the Update button below the Content Entry area; this will save your content and update that field in the Preview area. 4. Repeat the process for each field in your Preview area. 5. Click Continue when all content areas are complete. Note: The Product Message and Company Message fields allow you to add some additional formatting to the content that you add in those areas; you can bold, italicize and underline text, as well as include numbered and bulleted lists. Formatting buttons are available for those fields in the Content Entry area. The Background Image field always appears; it is not dependent on your answers in Step 3. This step allows you to select from the available background images. You can also select whether you want to include construction people as part of your background image, by selecting/deselecting the checkbox. Page 8 of 22

Step 4B: Add Quick Pick Cover Page Content This step allows you to enter the custom cover page content that you selected to include in your guide that will appear on the Quick Pick front or back cover. Any common content that you already entered in the previous steps will already be filled in. If you make changes to any of the common content, those changes will also apply to the PDF and web page outputs. If you need more information about adding your custom content to your guide, view the Adding Your Custom Content to a Selection Guide topic. To modify or add additional content, follow the same process that you used in Step 4A. When you are completely finished, click the Continue button. Page 10 of 22

Step 4C: Add Web Home Page Content This step allows you to enter the custom home page content that you selected to include in your guide that will appear in the custom website output. Any common content that you already entered in the previous step will already be filled in; you ll only need to enter the content that is specific to the web home page. If you make changes to any of the common content, those changes will also apply to the PDF and Quick Pick outputs. If you need more information about adding your custom content to your guide, view the Adding Your Custom Content to a Selection Guide topic. To modify or add additional content, follow the same process that you used in Step 4A. When you are completely finished, click the Continue button. Page 11 of 22

Step 5: Define Rooms or Uses This step allows you to add the rooms and uses that you want to include in your guide. Some examples of rooms or uses are Kitchen, Lavatory, Bath Sink and Bath Shower. You can choose from some common rooms or uses or you can define your own. To add common rooms or uses, choose them from the drop-downs in the Common Room or Use column. To add custom rooms or uses, choose CUSTOM from the Common Room or Use column, and then add the name of your custom room or use to the Custom Room or Use column. Fill in as many rows as you need. If you need additional rows, click the Add button at the bottom. You can reorder your rooms or uses using the arrows in the Order column. When you are finished defining your rooms or uses, click the Continue button. Page 12 of 22

Step 6: Define Product Groupings This step allows you to add the product groupings that you want to include in your guide. Product groupings can be used to group products together, by standard versus optional, upgrade levels, styles or any other way you want to group the products in your guide. You can choose from some common product groupings or you can define your own. To add common product groupings, choose them from the drop-downs in the Common Product Grouping column. To add custom product groupings, choose CUSTOM from the Common Product Grouping column, and then add the name of your custom product grouping to the Custom Product Grouping column. Fill in as many rows as you need. If you need additional rows, click the Add button at the bottom. You can reorder your product groupings using the arrows in the Order column. When you are finished defining your product groupings, click the Continue button. Page 13 of 22

Step 7: Add Product Choices, Page Notes and Overall Settings This step allows you to define the number of product choices that you want to include in each section of the guide. It also allows you to add notes to your guide. In the Overall Settings in the left column of this page, you can also determine how you want to your guide to be structured; either by rooms/uses at the top level or product groupings at the top level. For more information on structuring your guide, view the Deciding How to Organize Your Selection Guide topic. To add your product choices, select the number of products that you want to include in each section from the applicable drop-down. You can also add notes to any of the Note boxes. When you are finished, click the Continue button. TIP: If you do not want a second-level heading to be included under one of your firstlevel headings, set the number of products in that section to 0. Page 14 of 22

Step 8: Define Product Data to Include This step allows you to control which pieces of product data that display. The information that you choose to include in this section applies to each product that you add to your guide. The first section includes pricing information, which includes Delta s list price, your own custom price and/or your own custom price based on the impact on the monthly mortgage. You can also select what optional product data to display. Your choices are as follows: a. (Delta) Product model number b. Your own custom model number c. (Delta) Product features and benefits d. Your own custom note e. Delta s product description f. Your own custom product description g. Product (technical) Specifications Sheets for each product (This only appears if you choose the PDF or Custom Website output.) TIP: While we have suggested uses for each of the custom fields, you can use those fields for any text-based information you want to include. This step also allows you to choose the background color for your product images. You can choose a default background color for all of the images in your guide. It defaults to a light gray color, but you can choose between other neutral colors as well as brand colors. You can override this default background color for a specific product during Step 9: Add Products. When you are finished answering the questions, click the Continue button at the bottom. Page 15 of 22

Step 9: Add Products This step allows you to add the products to your guide. Product boxes appear as placeholders for the number of products that you selected to include in the previous step at each level. Page break indicators identify where the page breaks will occur in the PDF output format. You can add products in one of several ways: you can enter an exact model number, you can enter the beginning of the model number and then choose from the products that match, or you can include products that you have saved in your MyDelta account on DeltaFaucet.com. If you know entire model numbers, enter them in the model number boxes where you want them to be added. If you do not know the entire model number, you can use the partial model search to find the product that you want to add. Enter the beginning part of the model number, as much as you know, in the model number box and then click the magnifying glass icon. A window appears that allows you to choose from a list of products that match your search. Select the product that you want to add, and click the Add button for that product. Page 17 of 22

You can also add saved products from your MyDelta account on DeltaFaucet.com. To add products from My Delta, click the magnifying glass icon. A window appears with the Select Products from My Delta tab already selected, and your products listed in it. Finally, select the product from the list and click Add. When you are ready to add all of the products you have entered to your guide, click the Update button. Page 18 of 22

After you update, the products are added to your guide. It includes the product picture and fields where you can enter any custom information that you chose to add during Step 8: Define Product Data to Include. Page 19 of 22

Step 10: Select Final Output Options This step allows you to select which brands you want to show selling points for. This will insert an information page in your guide for each brand that you select. You can view each brand page first by clicking the Preview link. This only appears if you choose the PDF or Custom Website output. The Do you want to include a B2B message (Delta Faucet Company? option inserts an information page in your guide that discusses Delta Faucet Company. You can view this page first by clicking the Preview link. This only appears if you choose the PDF or Custom Website output. Page 20 of 22

Step 11: View Output Congratulations! You have created a complete guide. Step 11 allows you to view the output you have created. To view the PDF output, click on the View PDF link. If you want to save a copy that you can store locally and , right mouse click over the link and choose Save As. To view the Quick Pick output, click on the View Quick Pick link. If you want to save a copy that you can store locally and , right mouse click over the link and choose Save As. To view the CSV output, click on the View CSV link. If you want to save a copy that you can store locally and , right mouse click over the link and choose Save As. To view the website output, click on the link to it that is in the Web section. This allows you to view the website, but it does not allow you to make selections. You can also invite users to access your custom website. Invited users can select products and then review and submit their final selections. To invite users to your website, add their information in the Send Invitations section. You can add additional users by clicking the Add another user link. You can also add a custom message in that field. When you are finished, click the Invite Users button to send an invitation to everyone that you invited. Page 21 of 22

After you have invited users to your custom website, you can track their status in the View Status section. Possible status values include Not Started, In Progress and Submitted. You can view the selections that each user has made by clicking the link in the Status column; this opens their version of the Online Selection Center, and you can go to the Review and Submit Selections page to see what they have chosen. You can also check the status of any completed selection guide at any time from the Guide List by choosing Manage Invitations from the Actions column. For more information on managing the invitations, view the Managing Your Online Selection Center topic. Page 22 of 22
