4 User ID & Password After choosing any of service databases, user must key-in the valid User ID & Password to enable entry. Only an authorized user or contact person can change the password via online or make request to reset the password. The guide of Procedure to change SIRIMLINK password is confidential and should not be distribute with this SIRIMLINK Access Guide. 5 Procedure to change SIRIMLINK password Step 1 : Step 2 : Step 3 : Step 4 : Step 1 : Click to change the password. Step 2 : Click on the ENTER button. Step 3 : Key-in your valid User ID and Password. Click on the Submit button. Step 4 : Key-in the current password in Old Password box. Key-in the new password in New Password box. 6 MALAYSIAN PATENTS DATABASE MAIN SEARCH User can search for Malaysian Patents records by using any terms or numbers that required. Just key-in the terms or numbers in the search menu. Click on the GO button. The result listed below the search menu is pre-listing to all Malaysian Patents in the database. Example : If you to know list of Malaysian Patents that granted in year just key-in 2000 in the search menu and click on GO button. 7 ABSTRACT DATABASE MAIN SEARCH User can search for Articles Abstract from journals and magazines by using any terms or numbers that required. Just key-in the terms or numbers in the search menu. Click on the GO button. The result listed below the search menu is pre-listing to all Articles Abstract in the database. Example : If you want to know any of articles abstract that related to management. Just key-in management in the search menu and click on GO button. 9 TERMS & CONDITIONS 1. SIRIM Berhad grants to the Subscriber subject to the term and conditions hereunder access to SIRIMLINK an automated online database service provided by SIRIM. 2. This Agreement shall come into effect on the date of signature by SIRIM Berhad and remains in effect until cancelled by either party with thirty (30) days written notice. 3. SIRIM Berhad reserves the right to add or withdrawn databases and undertakes to provide notice of these actions. SIRIM Berhad reserves the right to modify any and / or all service rates, training fees, and documentation prices and such modified rates, fees or price shall be effective thirty (30) days after SIRIM Berhad has given written notice to the Subscriber. Not withstanding the aforesaid this agreement shall be immediately terminated upon receipt of notice by SIRIM Berhad from Subscriber that the increased rates, fees or prices are unacceptable. 4. SIRIM Berhad shall provide the Subscriber s User ID and password. Subscriber shall be held responsible for charges incurred against the assigned User ID until such time SIRIM Berhad is notified in writing to cancel or modify the User ID. 5. Subscriber agrees to furnish equipment which meets SIRIMLINK connection specifications, at his/her own cost. 6. Subscriber shall be responsible for the telecommunication costs between his premises and SIRIMLINK connection point. 7. SIRIM Berhad shall not be liable or deemed to be in default for any delay or failure in performance or interruption of service resulting directly or indirectly from any causes or circumstances beyond its reasonable control. 8. SIRIM Berhad shall provide Subscriber with SIRIMLINK Information Retrieval Service in accordance with SIRIMLINK Manual Guide. It is understood that while SIRIM Berhad has no indication or reason to believe that these are inaccuracies or defects in the data service furnished, SIRIM Berhad makes no representations or warranties of any kind, including merchantability or any such to be implied with respect to the services or data furnished and SIRIM Berhad assumes not responsibility with respect to the Subscriber or his employees, clients or customers use thereof. SIRIM Berhad shall not be liable for incidental or consequential damages. In no event shall SIRIM Berhad s liability to Subscriber for damages, regardless of cause from of actions, exceed the value of the subscription for one year preceding the incident giving rise to such damages.
