External Transfers Add and Verify Accounts

1 Deposit accounts at other financial institutions are eligible to transfer funds to and from your Consumers deposit accounts. These outside accounts must be validated to prove ownership before they can be used. Follow the steps below to add and validate deposit accounts from other institutions. Please allow 1-2 business days for verification of account before any transfer to or from your Consumers account. Note: To transfer to another institution from your Consumers account, there is a service charge of $3. 1 Select the Move Money menu, then click External Transfers. 2 Select Transfer Between My Accounts. 3 Accept the Terms of Service. 4 A new window will open please click validate your address. 2 5 A validation code will be sent to the address linked to your Online Banking. Once you have received your code, enter it into the Validation code * text box. Click Submit. 6 You will receive an Validation Successful notification. Click Done. 7 If you have never used External Transfers or need to add a new deposit account: Click Add a New Account 8 Add a new deposit account: Choose Account Type* from the dropdown menu Type in an Account Nickname Type in the Routing Number* Type in the Account Number* twice Click Next Learn HOW you want, WHEN you want at blog.consumerscu.org 2

3 9 Read the instructions inthe Verify with bank deposits window carefully. Note: It takes 1-2 business days for test deposits to be made into your other account. Instructions for verification will be sent to the linked with Online Banking. Then click Send me two deposits 10 A new window will pop open with your Next Steps. Click Done Result: One of two things will happen: 1. You will verify your accounts by providing your User ID and password for the external account. Or 2. If your financial institution will not support this immediate verification, check your for instructions to verify test deposits and activate external accounts. Note: Once all amounts have been verified and accounts activated proceed with transferring funds to and from your Consumers accounts to your accounts at other financial institutions. 4 External Transfers To/From A Financial Institution Follow the steps below to transfer money between accounts you have with Consumers and account you have at another financial institution. Click Done. 7 Schedule your transfer: Choose the From* and the To* accounts from the drop down menus. Choose the date to Send On*. Choose Standard as your Delivery Speed*.
