2 How to Set up Outlook 2016 Updated: Feb. 4, 2016 on Windows Before we start, we need to make sure you can connect to the internet and that your account is ready to go. Visit mail.kkg.org and login with your address (<first name>.<last and password. 2. Open Outlook and click the File tab. 3. Click Info on the left side. 4. Click Add Account under Account Info.

3 5. Enter your full name in the Your Name field. 6. Enter your address in the Address field. 7. Enter your password in the Password and Retype Password fields. 8. Click Next.

Visit mail.kkg.org and log in with your username (<first name>.<last name>) and password. 2. Open Outlook. 3. Click the Tools menu on the top of your screen and then click Accounts. 4. Click Exchange or Office Enter your in the address field. 6. Enter User Name and Password in the Method drop-down menu. 7. Enter your username in the User name field. (<first name>.<last name>) 8. Enter your password in the Password field. 9. Leave Configure automatically checked. 10. Click Add Account.

6 11. I recommend changing the Account description to something that will identify this account in Outlook. No one else sees it. KKG is a good example. 12. Everything else should stay the same. You are now finished!

7 How to set up on Your Apple Mac Updated: Aug. 5, 2016 using an imac OSX Yosemite Before we start, we need to make sure you can connect to the internet and your account is ready to go. Visit mail.kkg.org and log in with your username (<first name>.<last name>) and password. Close your browser and continue if everything worked. 1. Click on the little Apple on the top left corner of the screen. 2. Click System Preferences. 3. Click Internet Accounts. 4. Click Exchange.

8 5. Enter your full name in the Name field. 6. Enter the address in the Address field. It is not case sensitive. 7. Enter your password into the Password field. 8. Click Continue. 9. Click Continue on Account Summary.

9 10. Leave Mail checked. 11. If you want to sync Contacts to your device, leave this checked. 12. If you want to sync the Calendar to your device, leave this checked. 13. Most people don t use Notes or Reminders. You can uncheck these if you prefer not to use them. 14. Click Done. Now, you should be able to use your account.

10 Setting up/troubleshooting Kappa for an iphone/ipad Updated on Sept. 9, 2016 from iphone 5 / ipad Air / IOS 9 NOTE: For security reasons, using this setup will require at least some form of passcode. If you do not agree with this provision, please stop here. Contents: 1. Set up your kkg.org 2. I changed my network/ password 3. I get the message Cannot Verify Server Identity 4. It asks for a server after I enter and password. SETUP Before starting, log into your webmail to ensure your account is ready to be added. If you succeed, then you're ready to continue. This method uses the webmail infrastructure. Also, make sure you have a good internet signal Wi-Fi or cell carrier will both work. 1. Go to Settings. 2. Once inside settings, tap Mail, Contacts, Calendars.

11 3. Tap Add Account. 4. Tap Exchange. The process will detect and auto-configure most of the settings for you. 5. Enter your address in the field. 6. Enter your password in the Password field. 7. Enter a description in the Description field. This field identifies this account to you on the phone or tablet. This description will not be displayed on any s you send or receive. 8. Tap Next.

12 Note: Some older devices will get a certificate error. You ll need to select continue. Kappa uses a highly secure internet certificate and some older devices aren t compatible with that security. Certificates are used to send secure encrypted traffic from device to server.

13 If your account info is correct and your connection is good, you should get something similar to this image. If not: a. Log into webmail to verify your account works. b. Open Safari and go to This should pull up the webmail login. c. If both of the above work, try the setup again. 10. Leave Mail toggled in the on position. 11. If you want your Outlook Contacts to sync on your phone, toggle this on. 12. If you want your Outlook Calendar to sync on your phone, toggle this on. 13. Most people don't use Notes or Reminders. You can toggle these off. 14. Tap Save. NOTE: The system could take up to five minutes to initialize. Give it some time before checking your mail. You are now done. If your passcode doesn't meet the requirements you will get one of the following: 1. No passcode is set You will get the Passcode Requirement notification. Select Continue to set a new passcode. You will be required to enter a non-simple passcode. This means that you can't use only one number or more than three numbers in ascending or descending order. NOTE: The fingerprint sensor, iris scanner and facial recognition should work. Alphanumeric codes are also good. Simple passcode examples bad and will fail Non-simple passcode examples good 1111 (Downright horrible password) (Another bad password) (567 is in ascending order) (876 is in descending order) 4004

14 Enter your new passcode. Remember, this passcode cannot be simple or weak. Enter your new passcode and tap Continue. You will get another window to re-enter your passcode. Then, tap Save. 2. Current passcode is too weak. If this is the case, you'll get a Passcode Requirement notification. A non-simple passcode will be required. Tap Continue to set a new passcode. The next notification will ask for your current passcode. Enter your current passcode. The next notification will ask for the new passcode. Enter a new passcode. Remember, it can't be simple or weak. After this, you will be asked to re-enter your passcode. Then, tap Save.

15 TROUBLESHOOTING Q. Its asking for a server name and stuff. A. Cancel. Log into webmail to verify that your account works. Then, open Safari and go to This should pull up the webmail login. If both of the above work, try the setup again. Q. I am getting the message: Cannot Verify Server Identity. A. This could be due to a bad connection to the server or if you re using an older device. Tap Next when done. 14. Change Account name to something that will describe your new account. Only you will see this and it will help you identify what it is. 15. Change Your name to your full name (e.g., Katie Kappa). 16. If desired, set as default account. 17. Tap Done.

Visit mail.kkg.org and log in with your address (<first name>.<last name>@kkg.org) and password. 2. Open your mail. If this is your first account on the Gmail app, tap Add an address and skip to step Tap on the three-line button next to Inbox. 4. Tap Settings. 5. Tap Add account.

22 6. Tap Exchange. 7. Enter your address. 8. Tap NEXT. 9. Enter your password to the account. 10. Tap NEXT.

23 11. You shouldn t have to change anything here. Just double check and make sure everything matches up. address as usernames work as well. 12. Tap NEXT.

24 13. This box is just letting you know that Kappa s server is ensuring your device has certain security features enabled. Tap OK. 14. Modify this to your personal preferences. Most people will want at least Sync calendar from this account and Sync from this account enabled. The defaults will be fine here. 15. Tap NEXT.

25 15. Tap Activate. 16. Enter the account name. This is just a way to identify the account and will not be displayed on s. You are all done. Wait a few minutes before refreshing the app. *If you don t have a passcode, you ll need to set one. 26 Adding Another Mailbox to Outlook 2010 and 2016 Updated: Feb 4, 2016 NOTE: Before adding another mailbox you'll need permissions to the account. This document assumes you were already granted this. 1. Let s start by opening Outlook. 2. You want the mailbox to appear on the left side where your current mailbox is. 3. Click the File tab in the upper left corner.

27 4. Click Info on the left side. 5. Click Account Settings to open the drop-down menu. 6. Click Account Settings the first option in the drop-down menu.

28 7. Click the Data Files tab. 8. Click your name to highlight it. 9. Click Settings. 10. Click the Advanced tab. 11. Assuming the mailbox you're connecting to isn't already listed in the white area, click Add.

29 12. Type in the username or address of the mailbox/person you want to add. 13. Click OK.

30 14. Make sure the full name of the mailbox appears in the white area. If it does, click OK. 15. Click Close.

31 16. The new mailbox should now be displayed on the left side. If you get an error when you click the arrow to expand the mailbox, you may have one of these two issues. a. You don't have permissions to the mailbox. b. You were recently given permission to the mailbox. Try logging off and then logging back in. How to Set up Kappa

32 Adding a Shared Calendar to Outlook 2010 and 2016 Updated: Feb. 4, 2016 NOTE: You will need permission before adding a shared calendar. By default, everyone has permissions to view basic versions of each other s calendars. 1. Open Outlook and go to your calendar. 2. Click the Open Calendar drop-down menu. 3. In the drop-down menu, click From Address Book.

33 4. Search or scroll through the list for the individual you would like to find. 5. Double-click on the person you want. This will highlight their name and add it into the Calendar field. 6. Click the OK button. You are finished!
