4 1. Introduction This project aims to set up the IATA Aircraft Recovery Portal (IARP). This project delivers: An online, secure website allowing approved users to enter, view and update information related to available aircraft recovery equipment at an airport as an effective and efficient communication tool. The website incorporates a search function and the ability to export search results to an Excel file. The online website is available to all Air Operators, Airport Authorities, Service Providers and Public Services Organization (Fire Brigade) who own aircraft recovery equipment and provide relevant data. International Organizations may also be provided with read only access. Users have 24/7 global access. Updated May 11, 2016 Page 4 of 21

5 2. Registration to IARP Extranet Site The IATA Aircraft Recovery Portal (IARP) is a SharePoint based extranet site owned by IATA. Registration is required prior to logging in to the Portal and access is granted by IATA. 9 b) What if I don t remember the Password: Select the following URL to reactivate a password Note: You will receive via a Code. You will need this code to change your password. 13 5. IARP Home Page Layout The primary objective of the IARP is to serve as a query tool for retrieving aircraft recovery equipment information that has been uploaded into the IARP database. When logging in to IARP, the main site will display the query tool as shown below. You can always reach the quiery tool by selecting IATA Aircraft Recovery Portal label on the top left corner of the site. The home page serves two functions. 14 6. Aircraft Recovery Equipment Entry The IARP will only function effectively once it contains an extensive database of aircraft recovery equipment. Therefore uploading equipment data is essential from the side of Service Providers Adding Service Provider and Location STEP 1) Select Add Service Provider > +Add new Item to get to the below window. STEP 2) Populate the required fields as shown below. Equipment location (type 3 letter code) Date of data entry Your company s name Type of the company (drop down list) Company address Company s web address Updated May 11, 2016 Page 14 of 21

15 1 st contact details (mandatory) 2 nd contact details STEP 3) After providing company address and 1 st and 2 nd contact information, scroll down and select Save. NOTE. Please provide the address and contact information of the station where the recovery equipment is located. IMPORTANT! If the same company holds recovery equipment at multiple locations, the above steps need to be repeated for all locations with the corresponding data entry. Updated May 11, 2016 Page 15 of 21

16 6.2. Adding Equipment After adding the service provider and the location you need to list all aircraft recovery equipment for all locations identified in previous steps. STEP 1) Select Add Equipment > +Add new item to get to the below screen. STEP 2) Fill the required fields as shown below. Select category of equip. from drop list Select from drop list (e.g. Monopole Jack) Add capacity Select unit of measure Quantity of equipment at location (e.g. 3) Is the equipment servicable? Y/N Is the equip. suitable for Wide Body? Y/N Is the equip. suitable for Narrow Body? Y/N Is the equip. suitable for Regional jet? Y/N Is the equip. suitable for Small Aircraft? 17 Providing Aircraft Type is mandatory for Jack-Adaptor! Provide Part Number if you can STEP 3) From the Service Provider drop down list choose the specific provider-location combination then provide Aircraft Type and Part Number when you can. NOTE. If you have more equipment at the same location you only need to repeat steps 1-2. NOTE. You have the option to attach a file to the uploaded Equipment (image, description etc.). 18 6.3. Editing, Correcting Data In the event you enter and save the wrong information please follow the below steps. To modify location (Airport) or contact details: STEP 1) Select Add Service Provider STEP 2) Select the Company (under Title column) you wish to edit. STEP 3) Select the Edit Item button STEP 4) Add correct information as described under paragraph 6.1 To modify Aircraft Recovery Equipment: STEP 1) Select Add Equipment STEP 2) Select the Equipment name you wish to modify under Title column STEP 3) Select the Edit Item button STEP 4) Add correct information as described under paragraph 6.2 Updated May 11, 2016 Page 18 of 21

19 7. Query Tool When logging in to the IATA Aircraft Recovery Portal the main site will display the query tool by default. Different filter functions help the user narrowing down the search result. The Query Tool applies the following filters in its search function: o Region o Country o Airport o Service Provider o Aircraft Type (Wide/Narrow Body, Regional Jet, Small Aircraft) o Equipment Type o Part Number These filters can be used simultaneously or by themselves depending on the user s decision Region, Country By typing the name of the region or country the system will automatically recognize the text you input and give you suggestions. As an example you can see the two search results for typing Aus. Alternatively you can also select from the list provided by the Portal by selecting the icon next to the region / country fields. 20 Airport To perform search for a specific airport enter the Name or IATA code or ICAO code of the airport into the textbox under Airport then select Search. Once the airport name appears mark it and select Add. Now you have the airport selected as a filter Service Provider Name To perform search for a specific service provider enter the provider s name into the textbox under Service Provider Name Aircraft Type To add a search filter for the aircraft size, select Wide Body, Narrow Body, Regional Jet or Small Aircraft. NOTE. Multiple selections are available by pressing down the Ctrl button Equipment Type Users can search for specific equipment types. Select the equipment type from the list provided. NOTE. Multiple selections are available by pressing down the Ctrl button Performing a Query To perform an aircraft recovery equipment query follow the below steps. STEP 1) Add the filters you wish to use for narrowing down your search result STEP 2) Select Display Results button on the bottom right corner of the page STEP 3) Find the search result(s) at the bottom of the page.
