1 Keys To A Successful Opt-In Page (For A Free Gift) [1-5] First, WHAT is an opt-in page? The opt-in page is a web page where people can opt in to signing up for your free gift offering. It s essential to capture the name and address of the person signing up so that you can include that in your database and send follow-up messages with information about how to access your free gift. Once you ve written the copy for your opt-in page, you can use the exact same copy everywhere you promote your free gift on Facebook, in s, e-newsletters, the marketing of your partners, etc. (NOTE: It s also known as a sign up page or registration page) How to Create a Successful Opt-in Page Success in this case means that a significant percentage of people who visit the page sign up. (When anywhere from 5% to 20% of the visitors to your opt-in page sign up, that s a very good start. However, upwards of 50% or more is possible!) Your opt-in page has to be compelling and relevant to your audience. Every element, starting with the headline, needs to pull the visitor in. There doesn t need to be a lot of copy, but the copy should be very interesting to your reader so they are motivated to sign up for your free gift. 3 Elements of Successful Opt-in Copy To create an attention-grabbing free gift description that you can use in on your opt-in page (as well as in blasts, on Facebook, and in any other marketing) just write up these 3 elements: (1) Catchy headline The best headlines relate to a high-priority result that your clients want or a urgent problem they want to solve. There s no need to be super clever or creative here, just zero in on what your target audience really wants. Examples: 5 Secrets For Doubling The Size Of Your List Use LinkedIn to Find Your Next Job How to Find Your Soul Mate Through Heart Connection For inspiration and ideas, look at examples of catchy headlines by browsing the products or events of other speakers in your industry.
2 2 good places to look for ideas (choose a category similar to yours): - Amazon.com (books often have catchy titles and subtitles) - BlogTalkRadio (browse the titles of teleseminars) (2) A short description with 2-3 short, punchy paragraphs Here s the easiest way to write a short description of your event. First, write one paragraph describing the problem that your talk is focused on. Next, write one paragraph describing your solution and the benefits your audience will get. Done!
