4 Intrductin The Avigiln Cntrl Center Mbile (ACC Mbile) app gives yu access t live and recrded vide frm the Avigiln Cntrl Center system n yur mbile devices. Device Requirements Andrid smartphne r tablet (versin r later) System Requirements Yu must have access t the fllwing sftware in yur Avigiln Cntrl Center system. Avigiln Cntrl Center Gateway Avigiln Cntrl Center Server T make sure yu have a secure cnnectin, it is recmmended that yu nly cnnect t the Gateway via HTTPS. Cnsult with yur System Administratr fr mre infrmatin. If yu are running Avigiln Cntrl Center 5.6 r later, yu will have access t all f the features described in this dcument. If yu are running Avigiln Cntrl Center 5.4, yu will nt have access t the audi features. If yu are running Avigiln Cntrl Center 5.2, yu will nt have access t Alarms. If yu are running Avigiln Cntrl Center 4 r 5.0, yu will nt have access t Saved Views r Alarms. 1 Intrductin

5 Getting Started Once yu ve dwnladed and installed the ACC Mbile app, yu can access the sftware by tapping the app icn n yur Hme screen. Befre yu can watch vide in the app, yu need t set up the ACC Mbile app t cmmunicate with yur Avigiln Cntrl Center system. Adding a Gateway When yu pen the app fr the first time, yu are autmatically taken t the Settings screen. By default, there are zer Gateways listed in the app. Yu must add at least ne Gateway t the app. The Gateway is required t link yur mbile device t yur Avigiln Cntrl Center system. Ask yur System Administratr fr the Gateway s IP address, prt number, and the Gateway username and passwrd. This may be different frm the username and passwrd used t access Sites in the Avigiln Cntrl Center system. NOTE: The default Gateway username is peratr with n passwrd. 1. Tap Gateways. Since there are currently n Gateways, yu are autmatically taken t the Add Gateway screen. If a Gateway has already been added, yu will be taken t the Gateways screen where all the cnfigured Gateways are listed. Tap Add Gateway t add a Gateway. 2. Enter the Gateway IP Address/Hstname. 3. Enter the Gateway s Prt Number. The prt number is 443 by default. NOTE: The app always tries t make a secure cnnectin t the Gateway via HTTPS. If that fails, it will attempt an HTTP cnnectin. If the app is able t cnnect via HTTP, yu will see an errr message advising yu that yu are making an unsecured cnnectin. By default, the Gateway uses prt 443 fr all HTTPS cnnectins and prt 80 fr all HTTP cnnectins. 4. Enter yur Username and Passwrd fr the Gateway. 5. Tap Save t save the new Gateway. Lgging in t a Site On the Gateways screen, yu have access t the Sites that are cnnected t the Gateway. NOTE: If yu are running Cntrl Center 4, enter yur server details when the app refers t a Site. 6 1. Tap a Gateway n the list. NOTE: If yu tap yu will be taken t the Edit Gateway screen. 2. Tap the Site yu want t lg in t. If yu have nt prvided a username and passwrd t any Sites, the Lg In screen is autmatically displayed. Tip: Select Lg in t: All Sites t lg in t all Sites simultaneusly. 3. Enter yur Username and Passwrd fr the Site. 4. Tap Save. The app lgs int the selected Sites. The icn shws that yu are lgged int that Site. Under the Site name is the number f cameras that are cnnected t the Site. If yu tap, yu are taken t the Site Lg In screen again. Yur Site lgin infrmatin is remembered. Accessing Cameras and Saved Views Once yu ve lgged in t a Site, yu can access the cameras and Saved Views frm the Site. NOTE: If yu are running Cntrl Center 4 r 5.0, the Saved Views ptin may be displayed, but the list will be empty. 1. On the Sites screen, tap a Site. 2. On the fllwing screen, select either Cameras r Saved Views. 3. Tap a listed camera r Saved View t pen it in the View screen. 3 Accessing Cameras and Saved Views

7 Vide After yu ve set up the Gateway and Site access, yu will autmatically be taken t the View screen each time yu pen the ACC Mbile app. Like the Avigiln Cntrl Center Client sftware, vide is displayed in a View and is rganized by image panels. Adding and Remving Cameras In Accessing Cameras and Saved Views n page 3, yu learned hw t add cameras t a View thrugh the Settings screen. Fr easy access, yu can als add and remve cameras directly frm a View. 1. On the View screen, tap the screen nce t display the menu bar. T see additinal ptins, tap the verflw menu n the far right. 2. Tap Edit. The Edit View screen is displayed. 3. T add a camera, tap then select the camera yu want t see. If yu want t add a camera frm a different Site, tap Resurces then select a Site. If the Site yu want is cnnected t a different Gateway, tap Gateways then select a Gateway. 4. T remve a camera, tap. 5. Tap when yu are finished. 6. Tap the View screen nce t hide the menu bar, therwise the menu bar aut-hides after a few secnds. Opening a Saved View If yur Site has Saved Views set up, yu can pen any Saved View thrugh the app. NOTE: If yu are running Avigiln Cntrl Center 4 r 5.0, the Saved View ptin may be displayed but yu will nt have access t the Saved Views in yur system. 1. On the View screen, tap the screen nce t display the menu bar. 2. Tap. 3. Select a Saved View and it pens in the View screen. NOTE: If yu change the Saved View in the app, yu cannt save yur changes. Next time yu pen the Saved View, it will display the versin that is stred n the Site. Vide 4

8 Changing View Layuts Yu can change the View layut t custmize hw vide is displayed. The View screen cntains a number f image panels that display vide. The number f image panels is determined by the layut that yu select. 1. On the View screen, tap the screen nce t display the menu bar. 2. Tap Edit. 3. Tap. 4. Tap the View layut that yu want t use. The View changes t the selected layut. 5. T mve image panels, tap and drag an image panel t a different psitin in the View layut. 6. When yu have cmpleted yur View layut changes, tap. Switching Views The number f dts at the bttm f the screen shw the number f Views that are pen. This is the Page Views bar. T switch Views, flick left r right. T switch t a new View, flick left until yu reach the last View. Each time yu add a camera t an empty View, a new View is autmatically added t the right f all available Views. NOTE: The app supprts up t eight Views. Maximizing an Image Panel An image panel is an individual vide display within the View screen. The layut f the View determines hw many image panels are displayed. Fr mre infrmatin abut changing the View layut, see Changing View Layuts abve. T maximize an image panel, duble-tap an image panel. T restre an image panel, duble-tap a maximized image panel. Zming and Panning Yu can digitally zm and pan vide frm any camera. 1. Duble-tap t maximize the vide image panel. 2. Place tw fingers n the image panel and pull apart t zm in. 3. While zmed in, drag the screen t pan acrss the vide image. 4. Place tw fingers n the image panel and push tgether t zm ut. 5 Changing View Layuts

9 Taking Snapshts A snapsht allws yu t save r share any image that is currently displayed in an image panel. 1. Tuch and hld the image panel. 2. When the snapsht menu appears, select ne f the fllwing: Tap Save Image t save a cpy f the snapsht n yur mbile device. The image is saved in JPEG frmat and is stred in yur pht gallery. Tap Share Image t send r pst the image thrugh anther app that is installed n yur device. Using PTZ If yu are watching live vide frm a pan, tilt and zm (PTZ) camera, yu can cntrl the camera s PTZ features frm the app. 1. Duble-tap t maximize the vide image panel. 2. Tap nce t display the menu bar if it is hidden. 3. Tap. If the PTZ buttn is hidden, press the Menu buttn n yur device then tap. The camera s PTZ cntrls are displayed. T mve the camera, perfrm ne f the fllwing: If the camera supprts Click t Center, tap anywhere n the vide image t center the camera t that pint. If the camera displays a set f directinal arrws, tap and hld an arrw t mve the camera in that directin. Release the arrw when yu want the camera t stp. T zm in and ut, tap and hld r at the bttm f the screen. If the camera supprts Drag t Zm, drag yur finger in any directin t create a bx. When yu release yur finger frm the screen, the camera zm and centers n the selected area. Tap 1x t zm ut in full. T have the camera perfrm preset mvements, tap Presets then select the preset yu want t use. The presets are cnfigured in the Avigiln Cntrl Center Client sftware. 4. Tap t hide the PTZ cntrls. 10 Respnding t Alarm Ntificatins When an alarm is triggered in the Site, a red banner is displayed n the View screen. The banner displays the name f the alarm that has been triggered. Tap the red banner t pen the Alarm Details screen. Fr mre infrmatin abut the Alarm Details screen, see Viewing Alarm Details n page 10. If the Page Views bar is flashing red, there is an Active alarm n ne f the Sites yu are lgged in t. Fr infrmatin n hw t access these alarms, see Accessing the Alarm List n page 9. T hide all current alarm ntificatins in the app, swipe the red banner left r right. T hide the mst recent alarm ntificatin in the app, tap the X icn in the red banner. Fr mre infrmatin abut alarms in ACC Mbile, see Alarms n page 9. Bradcasting Audi in a View If yu have a speaker cnnected t yur camera, yu can use the micrphne in yur mbile device t bradcast audi in respnse t an event. NOTE: T use this feature, yu must enable the camera's speaker in the Avigiln Cntrl Center Client sftware. Fr mre infrmatin, see the Avigiln Cntrl Center Client User Guide. Be aware that the app nly supprts ne-way audi. Yu can bradcast audi thrugh the camera speakers, but yu will nt hear any respnse even if there is a micrphne cnnected t the camera. If yu have permissin t bradcast t speakers, yu will see the maximized image panel. icn whenever yu watch live vide in a NOTE: The app des nt supprt wireless audi devices, like a Bluetth headset. Yu may need t use the micrphne that is built-in t yur mbile device when wireless audi devices are cnnected. 1. Display a camera with a cnnected speaker. If yu are accessing the camera frm the Alarm Details screen, make sure yu are accessing the camera's live vide stream. Fr mre infrmatin, see Viewing Alarm Details n page Maximize the image panel. If yu are accessing the camera frm any Alarm screen, yu can skip this step because the vide is autmatically displayed in a maximized image panel. NOTE: The icn may take up t 5 secnds t display. 3. Tap and hld the icn then speak int yur micrphne. As yu speak, the audi levels expand utwards t shw hw lud yu are speaking. If the persn in the vide des nt seem t hear yu and the audi level is lw, yu may need t speak luder. 4. Release the icn t end the audi bradcast. 7 Respnding t Alarm Ntificatins

11 If yu experience issues with the audi bradcast, see Trubleshting Audi Issues n page 13. Playing Back Recrded Vide Yu can watch recrded events frm any camera that yu have access t n the app. 1. Duble-tap t maximize the vide image panel. 2. Tap nce t display the menu bar if it is hidden. 3. Tap t display the Playback screen. 4. T watch vide frm the specific time, tap. If yu are watching recrded vide f an alarm, this ptin is nt available because yu are reviewing recrded vide f a specific alarm trigger. G back t the previus screen t select a different alarm trigger time. a. T change the date, tap the buttn displaying the current date then select the date f the event yu want t view. b. T change the time, tap the buttn n the tp right and select the time f the event yu want t view. Tap Current Time t reset the calendar t the current date and time. A list f events that ccur mst clsely arund the selected date and time is displayed. c. Select an event t display the recrded vide, r tap OK t clse the screen. 5. T play the recrded vide, tap. T fast frward, tap. Tap the icn again t increase the playback speed. Yu can play the vide up t eight times the riginal speed. T rewind, tap. Tap the icn again t increase the playback speed. Yu can play the vide up t eight times the riginal speed. Tip: A single tap will shw/hide the playback cntrls. 6. T stp the recrded vide, tap. T step frward ne frame in the vide, tap. T step backward ne frame in the vide, tap. 7. When yu have finished reviewing the recrded vide, tap t return t the camera s live vide stream. Playing Back Recrded Vide 8

12 Alarms Alarms can be set up in the Avigiln Cntrl Center Client t ntify yu f specific events. Alarms can be viewed and acknwledged in ACC Mbile. T receive alarm ntificatins, enable push ntificatins in the Avigiln Cntrl Center Gateway. Fr mre infrmatin, see the Avigiln Cntrl Center Gateway User Guide. Respnding t Alarm Push Ntificatins Besides the in-app alarm ntificatins, yu can als receive push ntificatins f alarms. When the app is minimized, alarm ntificatins are displayed in the device ntificatins bar. These ntificatins are nly displayed if the push ntificatins setting is enabled in the Avigiln Cntrl Center Gateway sftware. Fr mre infrmatin, see the Avigiln Cntrl Center Gateway User Guide. When yu receive an alarm, tap the alarm ntificatin in the ntificatin drawer t pen the app and display the alarm details. T hide an alarm ntificatin utside the app, first pen the ntificatin drawer then swipe the alarm ntificatin left r right. Fr infrmatin abut in-app alarm ntificatins, see Respnding t Alarm Ntificatins n page 7. Accessing the Alarm List The Alarm List displays all alarms that are currently Active r Acknwledged. The Alarm List can be accessed frm the View screen. 1. On the View screen, tap the screen nce t display the menu bar. 2. Tap. The Alarm List pens. Swipe up and dwn t view mre alarms. Alarms are srted frm tp t bttm by: Alarm status: Assigned (assigned t yu) Active (unassigned) Assigned (t anther user) Acknwledged If the icn is red, the alarm is active. If the icn is gray, the alarm has been acknwledged. Pririty: alarm pririty is set in the Avigiln Cntrl Center Client sftware. Mst recent alarm trigger time The number f current alarm triggers is displayed t the right f each alarm's name. 9 Alarms

13 Tap n thumbnail t view that camera's live vide. If there are mre than ne camera linked t an alarm, swipe side t side t see all the cameras. Viewing Alarm Details T see the Alarm Details screen, d ne f the fllwing: Tap the alarm's name when the red alarm banner appears n the View screen. Tap the alarm's name in the Alarm List screen. Fr mre infrmatin, see Accessing the Alarm List n the previus page The Alarm Details screen is divided int the fllwing sectins frm tp t bttm: Alarm name Alarm status: A red backgrund indicates that the alarm is Active r Assigned t yurself. An range backgrund indicates that the alarm is Assigned t a different user. A green backgrund indicates that the alarm has been Acknwledged. Alarm trigger bar: tap r t select an alarm trigger and display vide fr that instance f the alarm. Live is selected by default t display the live vide stream frm the alarm cameras. Vide thumbnails: tap n a thumbnail t view the camera vide. The fllwing alarm actins are available at the bttm f the Alarm Details screen. Ack tap t acknwledge an Active alarm. If the alarm is linked t a digital utput, yu will be asked t Grant r Deny access. If yu tap Cancel, the alarm will nt be acknwledged. Assign tap t assign an alarm t yurself. This tells ther users that yu are reviewing this alarm. Unassign tap t release an alarm that was assigned t yurself. Purge tap t purge an Acknwledged alarm. The alarm is remved frm the Alarm List until it is triggered again. Viewing Alarm Details 10

14 Settings Editing Gateways Yu may need multiple Gateways t cnnect t all the Sites and cameras in yur surveillance system. Yu can add, edit r delete Gateways as needed. 1. On the View screen, tap the screen nce t display the menu bar. 2. Tap Settings. 3. On the Settings screen, tap Gateways. 4. On the Gateways screen, perfrm any f the fllwing: T add a Gateway, tap Add Gateway then enter the new Gateway infrmatin. T edit a Gateway, tap beside the Gateway yu want t edit then make the required changes. NOTE: If yu are editing the Gateway Prt Number, it is recmmended that yu nly use prts assigned t a secure HTTPS cnnectin. If yu chse t use an HTTP prt number, yu will receive a warning message advising yu that yu are making an unsecured cnnectin. T delete a Gateway, tap beside the Gateway then tap Delete Gateway. Editing Site Lgin If yur passwrd changes, yu will need t update yur Site passwrd in the app. NOTE: If yu are running Avigiln Cntrl Center 4, yu will use this prcedure t edit yur server details. 1. On the View screen, tap the screen nce t display the menu bar. 2. Tap Settings. 3. On the Settings screen, tap Gateways. 4. Tap the Gateway the Site is linked t. 5. Tap beside the Site yu want t edit. 6. Enter yur updated Passwrd r Username. 7. Tap OK. Changing Display Settings T cntrl the bandwidth used by the app, yu can set the display quality accrding t the type f wireless netwrk yu are cnnected t. 11 Settings

15 The higher the display quality, the less cmpressin is used n the vide stream. This prduces a better image but uses mre bandwidth. 1. On the View screen, tap the screen nce t display the menu bar. 2. Tap Settings. 3. On the Settings screen, select a display quality ptin. Tap Wi-Fi t change the setting that is used when yu are cnnected t a lcal WiFi netwrk. High is selected by default. Tap 3G t change the setting that is used when yu are cnnected t a mbile netwrk. Medium is selected by default. 4. Tap Dne t return t the View screen. Changing Display Settings 12

16 Trubleshting & Supprt Ntificatin Icns Gateways and Sites have a set f ntificatin icns t tell yu their cnnectin status. Gateway Ntificatin Icns Yu are cnnected t the Gateway and all Sites are accessible. Yu are cnnected t the Gateway but the cnnectin requires yur attentin. Sme Sites may be discnnected. Yu are discnnected frm the Gateway. Site Ntificatin Icns Yu are cnnected and lgged in t the Site. Yu are cnnected and lgged in t the Site, but there may be a license issue. Cntact yur System Administratr. Yu are discnnected frm the Site. Yu are nt lgged in t the Site. Yu prvided an incrrect username r passwrd. Trubleshting Audi Issues Audi is Nt Bradcast When yu hld the icn and speak int the micrphne, the audi level des nt mve and the persn in the vide des nt seem t respnd t any sund. Check the fllwing: Yur netwrk cnnectin is nt intermittent r slw. If yu are using a hands-free audi device, make sure the micrphne is functining crrectly. Yu can discnnect the hands-free audi device and use the micrphne that is built int the mbile device. The Micrphne Icn is Nt Displayed A speaker is cnnected t the camera and has been enabled in the Avigiln Cntrl Center Client sftware, but the icn is nt displayed when yu display live vide in a maximized image panel. 13 Trubleshting & Supprt

17 Check the fllwing: Yu are running ACC Mbile versin 2.2 r later. Yu are running Avigiln Cntrl Center Gateway versin 5.6 r later. Yu have permissin t bradcast t speakers in the Avigiln Cntrl Center system. Cntacting Avigiln Supprt If yu encunter an issue while using the app, yu have the ptin f sending Avigiln Technical Supprt an directly frm yur mbile device. 1. On the View screen, tap the screen nce t display the menu bar. 2. Tap Abut. 3. Tap the link t Avigiln Technical Supprt: supprt@avigiln.cm. If yu have mre than ne applicatin, yu will be asked t chse ne t send the In the new screen, supprt@avigiln.cm is autmatically entered as the recipient. Enter the details f yur issue then tap Send. NOTE: Include the app versin number s that Avigiln Technical Supprt knws which versin f the Cntrl Center Mbile app yu are having issues with. Cntacting Avigiln Supprt 14
