2 1. Connect LRPv2 Connect LoRaWAN LRPv2 node and your desktop with MicroUSB. An USB virtual COM port will be created in Windows system. If Windows can t recognize MicroUSB, please download the MicroUSB driver CP210x _Windows_Driver(Win7/8) CP210x_Universal_Windows_Driver(Win10) from p2104 and install the driver. Open LoRaWzzardUtility to configure LRPv2 node. Click Connect option in the upper right corner of LoRaWzzardUtility. Select the USB virtual COM port, and click Apply button to connect with LRPv2 node.

3 2. System Page On the System page, LRPv2 node system information will be shown on the system page. Right click the mouse on the System page and a Menu box will be appeared. In the Menu box, you can reboot the LRPv2 node, reset LRPv2 node to factory default settings or upgrade a new firmware to LRPv2.

4 Firmware Update Box 3. LoRaWAN Page The LoRaWAN page allows for configuration of below LoRaWAN settings. Join Mode Device EUI Device Address Application EUI Network Session Key Application Session Key Application Key ADR Tx Confirm Tx Retry Number LoRaWAN join mode: ABP (activation by personalization) or OTAA (over the air activation). 8 byte hexadecimal unique identifier of end device. 4 byte hexadecimal device address of end device. 8 byte hexadecimal unique identifier of the application provider of the end device. This key is used to check the validity of messages (MIC check). Used for encryption and decryption of the LoRaWAN packet payload. Application key used to derive the session keys. Adaptive Data Rate (ADR) is a mechanism for optimizing data rates, airtime and energy consumption in the network. If Tx Confirm is On, LoRaWAN sender requires an ACK frame from remote LoRaWAN receiver to confirm the transmission is successfully or not. The number of retransmission that LoRaWAN sender considers the transmission failed.

6 4. Radio Page The Radio page allows for configuration of below LoRa Radio settings. Band RF Power Data Rate Channel Frequency Channel Selection LoRaWAN radio band for different region: AS923, EU868, US915. The output power of the radio. The settings of LoRa Spreading Factor (SF), Bandwidth and Data Rate. LoRa operates with SF from 7 to 12. SF7 is the shortest time on air, SF12 is the longest time. The LoRa channel frequency. Frequency range of AS923 is Hz. Frequency range of EU868 is Hz. Each channel frequency needs to be separated by more than Hz. In the US915 band, the frequency of channel is fixed. Select the LoRa channel to use.

7 5. Sensor The Digital/Analog Input page allows for configuration of below DI/AI settings. Interval of Sync. Sensor Data Mode Negative Enable The interval defines how often the LRPv2 node reads DI/AI data. Set AI measure mode, 10V, 5V, 1V, 20mA or disable. Set enable if the analog input may be negative value possibly. Enable to read DI data or not. The Digital Output page allows for configuration of below DOI settings. Output Value Write a HIGH or a LOW value to a digital pin.

8 6. Modbus The Modbus UART page allows for configuration of below UART settings. The UART settings must to match with the settings on the attached Modbus RTU device. The transmission speeds of connected devices: 2400bps, Baud Rate 4800bps, 9600bps, 14400bps, 19200bps, 38400bps, 57600bps or bps. The method of detecting errors in transmission: None, Even, Parity Odd, Mark or Space. Data Bits The number of data bits in each character: 7 or 8. The end of every character allows the receiving signal hardware Stop Bits to detect the end of a character: 1 or 2.

9 The Modbus RTU Read page allows for configuration of below Modbus Read settings. Enable Slave ID Function Code Address Quantity Polling Time (ms) Enable to Modbus Read command or not. The unique unit address of Modbus slave. The valid range is from 1 to 247, and 255. The master device delivers packets to the slave device containing instructions as defined in the function code fields. The following is a list of the supported function codes. 01: Read coils 02: Read discrete inputs 03: Read holding registers 04: Read input register Designate the read from starting address for the Modbus registry. The valid range is from 1 to Designate the number of read cycles. The Modbus RTU Write page allows for configuration of below Modbus Write settings. Slave ID Function Code Address Quantity The unique unit address of Modbus slave. The valid range is from 1 to 247, and 255. The master device delivers packets to the slave device containing instructions as defined in the function code fields.
