1 PGW Functional Tester Release Notes - Page 1 of 8 - Introduction The PGW Functional Tester is an automated test suit for testing the correctness of an implementation of LTE PDN Gateway (PGW) according to the December 2010 versions of the 3GPP TS (GTPv2-C), TS (GTPv1-U), TS (Gx), TS (OCS) and other relevant Release 10 standards. Test Coverage There are total 316 test cases with E-UTRAN Initial Attach, Online Charging, Offline Charging, UE Requested Bearer Resource Handling, Network Initiated Dedicated Bearer Handling, EnodeB Requested Bearer Release, GERAN Initial Attach, UTRAN Initial Attach, E-UTRAN To UTRAN Iu Mode Inter RAT Handover and other procedures. The Test Cases are distributed in the following sections: 1) S5 Or S8 2) Gx Gy Or Gz 3) Multi Interface 4) Data Transfer Version Beta Release Date: October 21, 2013 PGW Functional Tester : Test Executive : PGW Functional Tester Test Procedures : TC and : Test OFCS should send configurable Acct-Interim-Interval in the ACA message TC : On receiving a CCR during Initial Attach with CCR type Update-Request and event trigger as UE-IP Address-Allocate, Test PCRF should send CCA. 8425, 8429 TC , and : On receiving an ACR request initiated for a dedicated bearer charging, the Test OFCS should send an ACA response TC and : FT should accept valid failure cause value for these test cases TC and : Test-case displays tcl error "Can't read rule Name: no such variable Charging Characteristics in Create Session Request should be configurable. - Page 1 of 8 -

TC Invalid PDN Type: The expected Cause value should be "Mandatory IE incorrect" instead of Preferred PDN Type Not Supported Some Diameter Messages from FT like CCA contains AVP, in which P - Bit is set TC , , , , , , , , , , : FT should send CCA with Charging-Rule- Definition AVP with QoS Information AVP. Redundant UE IP Address field has been removed from Test Bed Setup PDN Configuration. 4. This is not correct 6153 Session id is missing in RAR 6154 After abort any test case, FT variables are not initialized properly. For example non-zero Teid value in CSRQ SCTP abort issue: PGW FT does not handle the SCTP Abort Time Of The Day Procedures, need to be supported Most of the time when Gx is enabled and a test case fails, next test case will not run successfully. I see some message like "failed to open" or unable to initialize. I need to restart the FT. Dynamic PCC rules are not supported in all the relevant Test Cases - Page 8 of 8 -
