Door template wiring diagrams can be accessed through the Site Access Mobile App or on the Doors Page in infinias CLOUD. Standard component installation includes: eidc 32 Door Controller Whenever possible, install the eidc 32 door controller above the door and install a PoE cable from the door to the customers nearest network switch. 3xLOGIC MPW-CHAR-AH Reader Utilize lengthy reader cable and wire the reader directly to the eidc 32 door controller. 5 Some common miswiring of the eidc 32 or misconfigured firewall/router can cause some unnecessary headaches. Check to make sure you haven t accidentally made these common mistakes: SYMPTOM: Doors cannot communicate with infinias CLOUD. PROBLEM: Ensure that TCP Port is open for outbound traffic on your firewall or router. SYMPTOM: Cards aren t recognized by the reader. PROBLEM: The data wires on the reader may have been wired backward causing the reader to misread the card code. SYMPTOM: Doors are unlocked, but when you use your card, the doors lock. PROBLEM: The relay has been wired backward for fail safe or fail secure. SYMPTOM: Everytime you open the door, you get a request unlock event in the software instead of a door status event. PROBLEM: The door contacts have been wired to inputs 2 or 3, instead of input 1. Ensure the door contact is always wired to input 1. SYMPTOM: All the zones and rules setup in the access software will be backwards and your events will look like people leaving the building when they are really coming into the building. PROBLEM: You may have wired the reader to the out reader side of the EIDC. SYMPTOM: PIR bypass is used for when you want to bypass the door forced open event but don t want the door to unlock it. If you wire it to input two the door it will still unlock every time the PIR is tripped. PROBLEM: The PIR may be wired to input 2 for PIR bypass, but should be wired to input Site Access App Installation Site Access Download the Site Access mobile app using one of the following QR Codes or directly via the Google Play Store or Apple Store: Launch the Site Access app and enter your username and password, provided by your System Administrator and select Login. Page 5
6 HELPFUL HINT 3.0 Device Setup and Installation After logging in, the app will display the Events page (The most recent event displays at the top of the page). Select the Menu icon and then select Device Setup, and then Add New Door. eidc 32 door controllers can also be associated with infinias CLOUD by the Dealer/Admin via the Customer Registration Portal by selecting Configuration > Doors > Create Door. You can login to the Customer Registration Portal at portal.3xlogic.com IMPORTANT NOTE You may need to abbreviate the Door Name, as there is a 20 character limitation including spaces. Select Scan the QR Code or Manually Enter the Serial Number. A If you chose the Scan QR code method, locate the QR code on the Integrated Access Control and Video Kit Packaging, or on the door controller in your kit. B If you chose the Manual Setup, locate the Serial Number and Date Code on the side of the eidc 32 Manually enter the Serial Number and Date Code and then click Next. OR A B Page 6
7 Enter the Door Name and the Time Zone for the site and click Next. Select the In Zone and the Out Zone as detailed in the app and then click Next HELPFUL HINT Select the appropriate Door Behavior from the options previously configured by the System Administrator. A standard door behavior is configured by default as shown below. Door Behavior: This is a combination of two settings: card mode and the lock schedule for the door. Most importantly, this is your lock schedule for the door. When adding your first hosted door to a customer s site, infinias CLOUD automatically creates an Always Locked Behavior with your site name. Most people use card only for the card mode, instead of Card+Pin. The difference is single authentication vs. dual authentication. In order to use card+pin, you have to purchase a special keypad that allows for both. Page 7
8 4.0 Selecting the Appropriate Door Template Select Show Selected Diagram to view how to properly wire the door hardware to the door controller. After the eidc 32 door controller is installed, select Submit. This will allow you to confirm the door configuration before sending the door information to infinias CLOUD.
