Installation goes through Continuata s Connect, our high speed library downloader. Connect will automatically download, unpack, and organize all of the instrument s files in a location of your choice. 2. Activation is handled by Native Instruments through Kontakt and Service Center. Once the instrument is added as a library in Kontakt, you can use the provided download/serial code to activate it. 2

Once you have installed Connect, enter your serial code and click Download. Following this, you will be prompted to select the installation location for the instrument folder on your machine. IMPORTANT - Be sure that you have the necessary space in the location that you choose to install the instrument. Each instrument has different space requirements, and they are specified in its user manual. 3

5 After the download has begun, do not move, rename, access, or modify any of the files until the installation is 100% complete. If any of the involved files is changed before the installation is finished, the instrument will not install properly. The folder should appear like this: Once the instrument is completely downloaded, Connect will automatically unpack the.zip and.rar archive files and install them in a single folder named after the instrument. This instrument folder contains three subfolders called Samples, Instruments, and Data, as well as a (instrument name).nicnt file. It is important to remember where this folder is located, because the location will be referenced in the following steps. Another important point is to ensure that the file structure is maintained within the instrument folder, else it will cause usage problems. 4

Through this procedure, you make a general link for Kontakt to reference all of the instrument s files on your system. Now the last remaining step is to activate the instrument by using the product serial code. This can be done by clicking the small Activate button that appears over the instrument in the Libraries tab. After selecting this button, Kontakt will open a new window that links to Service Center. Here you can enter your serial code and address, following which your serial code for the instrument will be successfully activated. Now your new instrument should be listed under your activated products when you log into Service Center. 5
