1 PRE-INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS: This dcument discusses using the WrldShip DVD t install WrldShip. Yu can als install WrldShip frm the Web. G t the fllwing Web page and click the apprpriate dwnlad link: Install UPS WrldShip n the Wrkgrup Admin befre installing it n the Wrkgrup Remte. Temprarily disable any virus scan sftware that yu may have installed and d nt perfrm any ther installatins while WrldShip installs. Fr a Wrkgrup Admin installatin: Create a flder in which t install the shared database, shared files, and Wrkgrup Remte installatin files. This flder must be a shared Micrsft flder and can reside n either the Wrkgrup Admin r n any ther drive accessible frm bth the Wrkgrup Admin and Wrkgrup Remte. Install the lcal files and the remte (shared) files in different flders. Fr a Wrkgrup Remte installatin: Request access t the netwrk share drive created by the Wrkgrup Admin. Map a drive t the flder cntaining the shared files. Using Micrsft Windws Explrer, select Map Netwrk Drive frm the Tls menu. If yu are ging t mve WrldShip data frm anther Single wrkstatin t this Single wrkstatin during installatin, yu must d the fllwing n the ther Single wrkstatin: On the Manage Data menu in WrldShip, click Mve WrldShip Data t Anther Cmputer. In the Mve WrldShip Data Instructins windw, click Backup t make a cpy f yur data. Nte: Be sure t recrd the lcatin f the flder where yur data will be saved. This lcatin will be needed during the installatin f WrldShip n the ther cmputer. INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS: Fllw these steps t install WrldShip n a Single Wrkstatin r Wrkgrup Admin Wrkstatin frm the WrldShip DVD r t install WrldShip n a Wrkgrup Remte Wrkstatin frm a netwrk share drive r the WrldShip DVD: Step Windw (if available) 1. Insert the WrldShip DVD int the drive. The installatin shuld begin autmatically. If nt, use Micrsft Explrer t navigate t the DVD drive and duble-click Setup.exe. If installing n a Wrkgrup Remte Wrkstatin frm a netwrk share drive, brwse t and duble-click \UPS\WSTD\Remte\Install\Disk1\ Setup.exe. Nne Cpyright 2016, United Parcel Service f America, Inc. 2 2. The UPS WrldShip Setup Initializatin windw appears and asks if yu want t rebt nw. Click Yes. 3. Yur wrkstatin rebts. Lg in and enter yur passwrd as needed. Nne 4. 3 5. The UPS WrldShip Setup windw appears. Click the Applicatin Language dwn arrw and select the desired applicatin language. Nte: Yu can install WrldShip using any language that is supprted by yur Operating System. Click Optins and brwse t and select the tw lcatins where yu want t install WrldShip. WrldShip will create the \UPS\WSTD flders under the lcatins yu chse. Click the Cuntry/Territry f Installatin dwn arrw and select the desired cuntry/territry. Select r clear the Add Shrtcut t UPS WrldShip n Desktp check bx as needed. Select r clear the Finish Mving WrldShip Data check bx as needed (see belw). Click Next. If yu selected the Finish Mving WrldShip Data check bx, cntinue with step 6. If yu cleared the Finish Mving WrldShip Data check bx, skip t step 7. Cpyright 2016, United Parcel Service f America, Inc. 4 6. The Finish Mving WrldShip Data windw appears. Click Brwse. In the Brwse Fr Flder windw, navigate t and select the UPSWS_MveBackup flder that cntains the data yu want t mve t this cmputer and click OK. Click Next. 7. The License Agreement windw appears. If yu wuld like t visit varius Web sites fr pertinent United States regulatins, End User Rights, and UPS Privacy Plicy, click LINKS and cntinue with step 8. If nt, skip t step 9. 5 8. The LINKS windw appears. Click the link f yur chice. When dne, click Clse. 9. The License Agreement windw appears. Click Print t print the License Agreement. Review the agreement. Select I Accept the Terms in the License Agreement. Nte: If yu select I Decline t Accept the Terms in the License Agreement, the installatin exits. Click Next. 6 Nte: If yu selected the Finish Mving WrldShip Data check bx, the Next buttn changes t the Install buttn. Click Install and skip t step The Installatin Type Selectin windw appears. Select Single Wrkstatin, Wrkgrup Admin, r Wrkgrup Remte. If yu select Single Wrkstatin, click Install. Cpyright 2016, United Parcel Service f America, Inc. All rights reserved. 6

7 If yu select Wrkgrup Admin: Click the Wrkgrup Admin Shared Lcatin Brwse [ ] buttn and brwse t and select the lcatin t install the shared files used by bth the Wrkgrup Admin and Wrkgrup Remte. Click Install. If yu select Wrkgrup Remte: If installing frm a netwrk shared drive, the Wrkgrup Admin Shared Lcatin cannt be changed. If installing frm the WrldShip DVD, type the Wrkgrup Admin Shared Lcatin r click [ ] and brwse t and select the directry f the netwrk shared drive. 8 11. During installatin, the Installatin Prgress windw appears. Mnitr the prgress f the installatin. Nte: D nt attempt t restart yur wrkstatin during installatin, hwever, if yu are asked t rebt during the installatin, please rebt and lg in and enter yur passwrd as required t cntinue installatin. 9 12. When installatin cmpletes, the WrldShip Installatin Cmplete windw appears. Click Rebt Nw. 13. Yur wrkstatin rebts. Lg in and enter yur passwrd as needed. Nne 14. If yu selected the Finish Mving WrldShip Data check bx, the Finish Mving WrldShip Data windw shws the prgress as the files are mved frm the ther Single wrkstatin t this Single wrkstatin. 10 15. WrldShip starts. During start up, the prgress appears n the WrldShip splash screen, and the Cmmunicatin Setup windws appear s yu can set up yur cmmunicatins. Nte: The Cmmunicatin Setup windws d nt appear n Remte Wrkgrup wrkstatins. Cmplete the required infrmatin n each windw. Click Next n the first tw windws and Finish n the third windw (see next page). 12 16. If yu selected the Finish Mving WrldShip Data check bx, an infrmatinal message appears. Review the message. Click OK. 17. Als during start up, the Register with UPS windw appears s yu can cmmissin yur installatin. Ntes: Cmplete the required infrmatin. Click Finish. If yu selected the Finish Mving WrldShip Data check bx, the Register with UPS windw is pre-filled with the infrmatin frm the ther cmputer and is read-nly. Using the Shipper Editr, yu will be able t change the fllwing fields after registratin: Shipper Name, Cntact, Address 3, Telephne, Fax, Tax ID Number, Tax ID Type, and Address. 13 18. The Shipping windw appears and then the UPS WrldShip Help windw appears. If yu are installing a Wrkgrup Admin wrkstatin, enable remte access by selecting the Tls tab, Remte Wrkstatins, and then Enable/Disable Remte Access. (This ptin is nt shwn n Single wrkstatins.)
