10 10 voptimizer Pro Deployment Guide What s New in voptimizer Pro voptimizer Pro received new features related to extended Linux support and advanced disk quota options. Linux Support voptimizer Pro fully supports RHEL 5.x and RHEL 4.x (except RHEL 4.0). Advanced Disk Quota options. You can configure the disk quota either by specifying the free disk size or the total disk size. CBT Support With the help of voptmizer Pro you can resize VMDK files with CBT enabled Risk Mitigation. voptimizer Pro is able to backup VM before optimization and restore it in case of any errors. ESXi Support voptimizer Pro is able to resize VMs that are hosted on ESXi Servers. Custom Alignment voptimizer Pro allows you to easily re-align Windows and Linux volume, using the custom alignment value.

The key features of this version are: Providing all voptimizer Pro functionality and support Maintaining the same licensing features as voptimizer Pro Allowing five optimizations as part of the embedded trial license Scanning functions continue to function after trial license expires Reporting functions continue to function after trial license expires The WasteFinder version can be easily changed to the Pro version by purchasing the Per-socket license. Version Fixes Problem with the BootImage upload to ESX/ESXi 4.1 Problem with converting thin disks to thick disks under ESX 4.0 and ESX 4.1 after optimization Minor GUI defects

User Guide The voptimizer Pro User Guide is structured in sequential, task based format that describes the process of using voptimizer Pro. This guide also contains a product overview, as well as a Functional Overview chapter that describes in detail the functionality of voptimizer Pro. Minor updates were made to reflect new functionary in the 3.0 version of voptimizer Pro.
