In 2005 Aquatic AV began designing and manufacturing specialized AV products for the spa industry, creating a niche market and solving the problems long associated with excessive evaporation, harsh chemicals and water intrusion. Instead of relying on industry-standard automotive stereo chassis, Aquatic AV manufactured better products using stainless steel and other non-corrosive materials, all PCBs were conformal coated and new gaskets were developed. Silicone and other state-of-the-art materials were used to fill air gaps where water and chemicals caused problems in other systems. Aquatic AV quickly became the benchmark in the industry, supplying the majority of spa manufacturers with their AV requirements. Aquatic AV soon realized that there was a need for these unique products in other market areas. Boat builders and boat owners especially were dissatisfied with the traditional and ineffective marine AV products available to them. Aquatic AV s already tested solutions now modified for the marine market proved to be very popular here also.
