KEY / SERIAL / PARALLEL / SERIAL2 / PARA 2 / SERIAL 3 KEY Interface selected provides you with: 1) 8 buttons (F9 - K1 / m K8) for playing sounds with 2) per button, set by F10, a selected trigger functions. F9 Key - the buttons numbered K1~K8 - selection using buttons. F10 KEY Trigger Function selection using buttons. The possibilities are: 1. One shot, re-trigger: one button press to play 1 cycle and stop; but can be re-trigger during playing and starts again from the beginning by using the same button. 2. One shot, non-re-trigger: one button press to play 1 cycle and stop; it cannot be interrupted by re-trigger for re-starting again by using the same button. 3. Level hold, play 1 cycle: hold the button for playing 1 cycle and stop, release the button during playing to an immediate stop. 4. Level hold, play repeat: hold the button for cyclical playing repeatedly; release the button during playing to a final stop. 5. One shot, re-trigger, play repeat: one button press for cyclical playing repeatedly; but can be re-trigger during playing and starts again from the beginning by using the same button. 6. Toggle on/off: one button press to play to the end for 1 cycle and second press to stop during playing by using the same button. N.B. Pressing a different button during playing results in stopping the current sound and start playing the sound associated with the new button. When the new button has no playlist, then it becomes quiet. 5

Realize, however, that a sound that occurs in multiple playlists, but must be played with a different Sample Rate (see below F16), are not identical for the PM66 chip. You can see this yourself at the amount of time displayed at F6. Per memory address 1 playlist is available at the choices SERIAL or PARALLEL for Interface (F 8). A playlist you can combine up to 200 sounds and/or mutes. The PM66-chip considers a complete playlist as one sound.
