2 PARTS CENTER CATALOG ~ CHAPTER GUIDE Chapter #1 General Instructions This chapter includes instructions on how to use the new Online and CD version of the Parts Center s Newest Catalog. Chapter #2 Trolleys This chapter lists most of the trolleys we maintain for service applications. The chapter is set up by application Accordion Wall, Flatwall, then within each category by header type ie, #5, #7, #14, #17, etc. Chapter #3 Drop Seals This chapter includes the standard drop seal assemblies available today. The sections will be IA1, A1, A1.5, Im1, Im2, Ic2 and the AFS series of drop seals. As always, the more information you can supply us with when you order your parts, the better we will be able to fill your requirements. Chapter #4 Drop Seal Component Parts This chapter contains the parts needed to repair your present drop seals, typically nose caps, spring rods, high pivot brackets, cable assemblies and other assorted items. Chapter #5 Horizontal Seals Need to order new top sweep? This will be where you look for those kinds of items. Included in this chapter will be vinyl sweeps, foam fillers and pads and dual durometer bottom seal shapes. Chapter #6 Trim Hardware Looking for a latch #72? How about a new key lock cylinder for a #8 post? Even expander handles, handpulls, escutcheon plates and expander mechanisms can be found in this chapter. Chapter #7 Suspension System Parts This chapter lists the parts required for the header systems. Nuts, bolts, hanger rods, splice brackets, and hanger brackets are a few of the items that you will find listed here. Chapter #8 Vertical Edge Applications This chapter contains, bulb seal vinyl, and bulb seal assemblies even Woodmaster hinge material. Also accordion jamb molding and gasket material Chapter #9 Electrical Operation Components Be it an Acousti-seal 933E, Soundmaster Chain Operated or an electrically operated Audio-Wall, if it s anti-float spring & cable kits, electrical wall key switch, clutch brake pads or guide forks, you ll find it in this chapter. Chapter #10 Installer Tools and Part Kits This chapter contains, as the name implies, the tools of the trade. New tools or kits as they are developed will be placed in these pages. 4 Chapter 1 Introduction Welcome! Welcome to the next generation of Service Part Identification and Ordering Techniques. This New Modernfold Parts Center Catalog contains: Photographs With Part numbers to identify & order your needs more accurately. Pricing ~ A new complete Price guide for all items in this catalog!! A Faxable Order Form. Now Available on C.D. & Its also on the Internet through Your Partners Page. Specialized Instructions for: I I I Exploring Your Catalog Three Different Indices To help locate Your Part How to access and use Bookmarks & Thumbnails. I How to Print. A little or A Lot! I Pricing! The New Price List & How to Use It If you have not had the opportunity to utilize all of components of the Main Menu that linked you to this Catalog, Lets take a moment to explore! At present there are ten different choices on the menu, All are pretty much selfexplanatory. Just click on the Catalog button to open the catalog (as you did to get here!). If you are ready to start ordering parts, click the Faxable Order Form button and print a copy to be filled in and faxed to the Parts Center (for now). Of course, if you are ready to order parts you ll want current Pricing. On the Main menu there is a button for pricing. Just click where it says Price List and you will open a new window with current catalog pricing in PDF format just like the catalog. To you, that means that all of the search tools that are used in the catalog will work for you. Remember, Binocular Icon + Part Number = Catalog List Price. The list is in numeric part number sequence. You can easily scroll down the list until you get the to the part number that you are looking for. Chapter 1-1 -

5 Chapter 1 Introduction The bottom three buttons on the main menu are for access to different Catalog Parts Listings. The lists titled Part Number and Description will come in handy whichever version of the catalog you are using. They are a part number list, in numeric sequence and a description list in alphabetical sequence. Again, the same search tools work with these lists also. You will need the first list titled Chapter if you are going to work from a paper catalog. Just print out a copy and use it as a Table of Contents for the catalog. The balance of the menu items are simple how to s in a pictorial layout. As with most computer programs, there are many ways to find what you are looking for. All are correct, just use the one you are most comfortable with and works easily for you. This catalog requires Adobe Acrobat Reader version 4.0 or above. It is also on the CD so that you can install it on your computer if not already installed. You can also go to and click on download Reader to acquire the latest version. If you still need a paper copy of the Manual, it can be printed from Your CD, however, you will lose all of the capabilities associated with using it on your computer, i.e. word search, hyperlinks, zoom for detail sizing and more. With this in mind, and you still want a paper copy, we would suggest a commercial speed copy supplier. One that has capabilities to print directly from the CD, Such as Kinko s, Speedy, etc. We recommend that you specify both the weight of the paper (24#) and the brightness (96 or better) as this type of paper will enhance the quality and durability of your catalog. Also ask about having your copying done on pre-punched paper to fit your catalog binder. Chapter 1-2 -
