3 1 Product Overview 4ward s appliance-based solution can have up to 25 disks and 4 blades, and it is certified by Dell. This pre-integrated solution has built-in tools that help you safely migrate your heterogeneous infrastructure to the cloud. 4 1.1 Lab Preparation Considerations and Caveats It is in your best interests to ensure the demo environment you will be demonstrating is clean & tidy before you begin. For this reason we would recommend, where possible, you log in to your demo at least 15 minutes prior to delivery and check the following; 1. Familiarize yourself with the environment during this time and check any specific features you are expecting to demo. 2. Most importantly, be crystal clear with yourself on what it is you plan to show. A full demo of every feature described below (with questions) can take several hours. If you only have a short time slot be sure to focus on the key points that address the customer s pain points and will drive value home to them. 3. Ensure that you have scheduled the demo for sufficient time so as not to have the demo end before you are finished with the customer. Any other guidance on how the user should prepare for the lab can be added here. If there are limitation or something the user should be aware of call out also. 4 Dell Demo Center Dell Inc., 2016

5 2 Introduction This demo showcases the following: - Deployment wizard: deploy a private cloud in 12 steps - Trust wizard (with Customer s Active Directory forest) - Add capacity: adding a 4th blade - Hybrid Cloud wizard (to Microsoft Azure) - Site 2 Site VPN wizard (to Microsoft Azure) - Disaster recovery Wizard (to another CBX-E on premises appliance) - Backup wizard (locally on the CBX and to Microsoft Azure) 5 Dell Demo Center Dell Inc., 2016

6 3 4WARD CLOUD IN-A-BOX MOCKUP DEMO SCRIPT Initial Setup 1. Login to the demo server and run c:\4ward\ciab\cloudos.exe 2. Wait environment preconfig wizard to complete (few seconds). 3. Step 1 Insert Activation code: 6 Dell Demo Center Dell Inc., 2016

9 3.1.4 Step 4- Network configuration 1. Type the DNS forwarder: DNS Suffix(es): mydomain.local Note: If you like you may click the Action button (last colums of the servers list table) and showcase the fact that is possible to assign a different IP to each server composing the solution, while subnet mask and gateway IP are common for all the servers. 11 4. Click start, wait for the end of the process, click continue: Step 5 Updates 1. Just click next, explain that the unit if connected to the internet will check for updates, this operation could be performed even after initial setup Step 6- Switch configuration 1. Just click next, the operation is completely orchestrated all switch configuration, trunks, vlans, ports will be automatically configured without any user prompt. 12 3.1.7 Step 7 Storage configuration Key point: Show the fact that is possible to select the number of available disks (read from CMC dynamically) and choose, based on the selected number of available disks, which RAID configuration are available and which is recommended. 26 Site 2 Site VPN For the demo purpose we assume step 1 has been already been performed, it redirects the user to an azure login page where, upon successfully login the user is prompted to download a file locally. 27 Select (any fake text file) in c:\4ward Click import credential certificate 2. If multiple subscription are assigned to the live id used to download the file those will be lister in select subscription dropdown list.
