This output is protected by a thermal cutout, which will discontinue power if excessive current is drawn. The cutout automatically restores power after a delay. For installations where mains power is disconnected at night, InVue does not recommend the use of the Accessory Port because the charging demands of the devices will be excessive when power is re-applied in the morning. The total current available is 3.0A, shared between the primary device and the cross-merchandised device.
