Note: This release applies to the phone models mentioned above only. 6 Mitel 6700i and 9000i Series SIP Phones SP4 HF2 Release Notes ISSUES RESOLVED IN RELEASE SP4 HF2 This section describes the issues resolved on the SIP phones in Release SP4 HF2. The following table provides the issue number and a brief description of each fix: Note: Unless specifically indicated, the resolved issues below apply to all models. ISSUE NUMBER Configuration DEF38764 SIP DEF36740 DEF37314 DEF38177 DEF38902 DEF38936 DEF39018 User Interface DEF38059 XML DEF39121 DESCRIPTION OF FIX 6731i: An issue was observed whereby the phone sent an incomplete 802.1x authentication response when attempting to configure 802.1x using TLS with a 2048-bit certificate. This issue has been resolved. 6739i: An M5T patch was implemented in Release SP4 HF2 that allows the phone to correctly handle backslash (i.e. "\") characters in a quoted string. For a very specific call flow, the phone responded with an SDP containing a "sendrecv" media attribute when the line was on hold. As such, RTP packets were not being sent by the phone, which caused the remote gateway to terminate the call. This issue has been resolved. An issue was observed whereby the phone would switch to the backup outbound proxy after a call was made and immediately cancelled. This issue has been fixed. When using the phones with the Metaswitch call manager, if an outgoing intercom call was placed using an SCA-configured line, the phone was unable to receive a subsequent incoming call. This issue has been corrected. The phone did not send early media RTP packets as was expected in certain scenarios where the phone received multiple provisional SDP offers. This issue has been resolved. 6730i and 6731i: A Broadcom patch was implemented in Release SP4 HF2 resolving out-of-band DTMF issues observed on the phone. Note: As part of the fix for this issue, please note (for the 6730i and 6731i models only) that RTCP-XR reports for G.722 codec calls will be missing MOSLQ/MOSCQ/RLQ/RCQ scores. 6739i: The maximum amount of Unicode characters allowed for a softkey label has been increased to 30 in Release SP4 HF2. This increase helps to mitigate character encoding issues that have been observed when defining long softkey labels using the Russian language. After attempting to load a missing or invalid WAV file using an XML script, users were unable to restart the phone. This issue has been fixed. 3
