Introduction This document provides late-breaking information to supplement the Avaya Equinox Android Client (SP1) software and documentation. For updated documentation, product support notices, and service pack information, go to the Avaya Support site at Please refer to the latest Avaya Aura 8.0 Release Notes for information specific to the Avaya Aura feature and service packs. Release 3.5 Animated emoji support within text messages Support for using the cellular data option for VoIP calls on mobile platforms. If you use the cellular data option, Avaya Equinox prefers cellular over Wi-Fi for registration and calls. As a result, there is no disruption expected in service, as calls do not need to be renegotiated, if you move from one Wi-Fi access point to another. Support WCS-based Collab/Sharing for Vantage devices Support for Equinox on Vantage K155 Vantage USB headset support (device recognition, audio) Vantage Identify Certificate support Enable WCS collaboration support on Vantage and low-end Android devices Equinox Client User-Agent changes on Vantage for IP Office Enhancements to the Top of Mind screen to make the design consistent across platforms. 5 Fixes The following table lists the issues fixed in this release and is cumulative since the last major (or minor) release showing the most recent release first and oldest release last. Key Release Note Affected Version/s Fix Version/s FA Phone displays transducer icon inconsistently during phone in the Hold state with Vantage device. FA Vantage K175 device is continuously playing dial tone after on-hook the phone. FA Audio call and video call buttons are switched on the Dialer screen with Vantage K155 device. FA Using Vantage K155, when a Equinox user is launching the application with Top of Mind, dialing a number on the dialpad does not switch to the dialer view. FA Answering Vantage call using Bluetooth headset button results in audio via speaker. FA Ring back tone is played via loud speaker when dialing with Bluetooth handset off-hook using Vantage device. FA Equinox application crashed on Vantage K155 device after trying to unmute video. FA Using the Vantage K155 device, long pressing 0 (zero) on the physical dial pad button doesn't input the +(plus) sign for E164 dialing in the Equinox application. FA One way audio issue after upgrade to release Known issues and workarounds The following table lists the known issues and workarounds in this release and is cumulative since the last major (or minor) release showing the most recent release first and oldest release last. Key Release Note Affected Version/s FA Number is disappeared on Contact after add to Favorite (non-aads 3.4.8, 3.5 user) Workaround: None FA Team Button labels configured on the Session Manager web are not displayed on the Team Button list on the Avaya Equinox client. Workaround: None.
6 FA After unlocking the phone and search/presence update doesn't get triggered automatically. Workaround: Re-trigger search manually. FA Video not transmitted or previewed when Camera, Calendar, Contacts permissions turned off. Workaround: Go to Settings and enable permissions for Camera. FA When the user is in active call and presses Spaces Sign-in, the active call is disrupted without any notification. Workaround: None FA Mobile Equinox deployments currently using Client Enablement Services (CES) are recommended to continue using CES for call logs. FA One-way audio occurs after the moderator attempts to join back into the conference using the call stack. Workaround: Hold and then resume the call. FA Led lit continuously even after the put video call on hold Workaround: None FA No audio voice path when answering AAC audio-only conference invite. Workaround: 1. Leave conference and dial back into the conference to restore audio. 2. OR Use AAC 8.0 SP9 FA User cannot hear voice via Plantronics Bluetooth headset during active call. Workaround: Disable the sensor on the Plantronics headset using the Plantronics Hub app. This will keep the audio from being redirected to the handset "automatically". FA Use of Equinox for initiating outgoing calls or answering incoming calls while user is already engaged in active VoIP call using any of communication apps listed above would result in inconsistent results. Users are advised to end the ongoing VoIP communications on other VoIP applications before activating Equinox calls. FA Client in One-X CES call back mode drops call when enforced SRTP is enabled , , , Workaround: None.
7 FA No whiteboard collaboration once call returns to the app from a cellular hand-off if Aura CM version is not or greater. 3.0 Workaround: None. 8 Avaya Documentation Portal Customer documentation for Avaya Equinox (SP1) is now also available on the Avaya Documentation Portal at Using the Avaya Documentation Portal, you can: Search for specific content. To perform a search: o Type a keyword in the Search field. o Type a keyword in Search, and select the filters to search for content by product, release, and document type. o Select the appropriate product or solution and then select the appropriate item from the list. Search for a document from the Publications menu. Publish a PDF of the content. You can publish a PDF of the current section only, the section and its subsections, or the entire document. Add content to your collection using My Docs. From the My Content > My Docs menu, you can: o o o o o Create, rename, and delete a collection. Add content from various documents to a collection. Save a PDF of selected content in a collection and download it to your computer. Share content in a collection with others through . Receive content that others have shared with you. Add yourself as a watcher to the content using the Watch icon. From the My Content > Watch list menu, you can: o Set how frequently you want to be notified, starting from every day to every 60 days. o Unwatch selected content, all content in a book, or all content on the Watch list page. As a watcher, you will be notified when content is updated or deleted from a document, or if the document is removed from the portal. Share a section on social media platforms, such as Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, and GooglePlus. Send feedback on a section and rate the content.
