1 The following Video Conferencing Service is applicable to a small/medium meeting room environment. This solution also has a multipoint licence which enables the meeting room to dial into more than one site at any one time. The listing comprises both Core Services and Supplementary Services as indicated. Core Components falling outside this SSO may be made available through an alternative SSO. Core Components IP Video Conferencing Overview The purpose of this service is to provide the ability to call and connect and share audiovisual communication with another standards compliant H.323 IP-based video device over any distance in real time, enabling users to conduct a Video Conference meeting between two sites in real time in High Definition. The service provides High Definition Audio-Visual and Video Conferencing hardware components for IP Video Conferencing services and comprises of a Pan-Tilt-Zoom camera, High Definition 1080p LED Screen, Microphone and video-furniture. The Video Conferencing service uses High Definition business grade Video Conferencing hardware appliances that are standards complaint and will interoperate with any other IP Video Conferencing system that is based on either the IP H.323 or SIP set of standards and comply with the International Telecommunications Union (ITU) and Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) standards. Our Video Conferencing service utilizes the very latest video compression technologies allowing participants to enjoy full High Definition 1080p video resolution with real-life motion at up to 60 frames per second and High Definition content images using the standards based H.239 People and Content protocol. The content feature allows both near and far end video participants to send and receive images at 1080p resolution during a Video Conferencing meeting / session. Content sources can include PC PowerPoint presentations, Pictures, Documents or Medical and education images. Whenever Content is displayed, the conference participants always see both the far end video and the content thus maximising the conference experience. The service also utilizes the latest audio compression technologies allowing participants to enjoy high definition 22 khz bandwidth stereo audio, giving users the immediate sense of the physical location of opposite-end participants. In our service model, Quality of Service (QoS) controls can also be implemented on the Video Conferencing endpoint devices. QoS service provides classification and marking of the Video Conferencing network traffic to ensure that the voice and video traffic receives priority handling to minimise delay when traversing the network. ccsframework@

2 Small Meeting Room Video Conferencing System - Detail The service will provide an IP-based Video Conferencing facility with the ability to call, connect and share high-quality audio-visual communications with another standards compliant H.323 IP-based video device over any distance in real time. The service comprises of a Polycom RealPresence HDX 7000 One year service - Next Business day advanced hardware replacement, Software Updates & software Upgrades. To provide a consistent high-quality user experience the service has been designed around the Polycom HDX 7000 Video Conferencing endpoints from Polycom. The HDX7000 is perfectly suited for Office and small to medium sized meeting room environments. The service has the following features and capabilities: Polycom HDX7000 Video Conferencing system Eagle Eye Camera High Definition Video High Definition audio using Polycom Multipoint software license Ceiling Microphone array White Primary. Assumptions and Exclusions Our service pricing is based on the following assumptions and exclusions. Where different conditions or circumstances exist, additional charges may apply: Environment will be asbestos free and, where applicable, an asbestos register is available Wall mounted equipment will be dependent on the suitability of the mounting surface and therefore will be subject to survey and additional costs may apply All work to be completed in Pinacl normal working hours (Monday Friday, ) Project management fees relate to the standard service as described. Additional fees may apply where the client requires enhancements to the standard service e.g. additional capacity, out of hours working, management of third parties A maintenance agreement with appropriate SLA will be quoted separately based on individual client requirements Supplementary Components Video conferencing software client The purpose of this service is to provide a software based Video Conferencing client with the ability to call and connect and share audio-visual communication with another standards compliant H.323 IP-based video device over any distance in real time, enabling users to conduct a Video Conference meeting between personal computers and other IPbased Video Conferencing environments. ccsframework@

3 The client application is standards compliant and will interoperate with other IP based Video Conferencing system that are based on either the IP H.323 or SIP set of standards and comply with the International Telecommunications Union (ITU) and Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) standards. The software Video Conferencing application is capable of high quality audio, video and content at up to 720p High Definition resolution and offers many of the advanced features of a stand-alone Video Conferencing hardware appliance. The software client can easily be downloaded, installed and running in just a few minutes on a Microsoft Windows operating systems or Apple Mac OS X The client applications utilize the latest video SVC/AVC video compression technologies allowing interoperability beyond the typical conference room setting to mobile professionals. Desktop users are able to search corporate directories, share content, traverse secure firewalls, use multipoint calling, recording and streaming while maintaining encrypted connections, in a reliable and resilient manner. Video Conferencing Management Tools The purpose of this service is to provide Device Management, Monitoring, Call logging, Central Directory and System usage stats for Video Conferencing system endpoints and infrastructure components from a central location on the network. The service provides Video Conferencing management tools to enable network administrators to monitor and manage all the endpoints in the network from a single application, with immediate real time views of the status and health of the video network. System administrators can dynamically provision mobile, personal, and room based systems with feature sets, call quality, bandwidth and software updates, minimising administration work and user setup. The service comprises an installed management platform on the customer s site for client use only or as a remote management service. Room Control System The purpose of this service is to provide Video Conferencing participants with a simple intuitive single point of control for a Video Conferencing room environment. The service provides room control components to integrate with the Video Conferencing systems and Audio Visual peripheral equipment, enabling complete customization and control of every AV device, including room lighting, window shades, projectors, projector screens, video displays, HVAC and other equipment from one simple easy-to-use touch panel interface. Universal Access and Security The purposed of this service is to remove Video Conferencing communication barriers and allow a secure connection between video participants from inside and outside a customer s firewall. ccsframework@

4 The service provides industry standard Firewall Traversal and Security components required for IP Video Conference and Telepresence. The service enables video participants in and outside a customer s firewall to securely connect and collaborate using industry standards based Video Conferencing and security protocols. The service provides users with a seamless video experience making more effective use of Video Conferencing technology within and beyond the firewall. Network Performance Assessments The purpose of this service is to provide Network performance assessments that will check and confirm that the network is capable of supporting and delivering acceptable levels of performance for Video Conference / Telepresence services. Network software tools are used to interrogate the Video Conferencing network and identify infrastructure components, measure network performance, bandwidth, latency and Quality of Service. Based on the findings we will recommend if any additional work is required. The network performance assessment service checks and confirms that the Video Conferencing network is capable of delivering acceptable levels of performance. The service has 3 phases: Phase 1 Lifecycle assessment Our software tools interrogate the network and identify the infrastructure components present and reports back on such areas as their supported life and software versions. Based on the findings we will recommend if additional work is required. Phase 2 Network capability Using dedicated hardware and software to simulate video traffic we will measure network performance, bandwidth, latency and Quality of Service. Phase 3 Presentation of our report which will outline our findings and conclusions. The service provides Video Conferencing training. The service is delivered as either a webinar session, face to face group or individual training sessions. Audio-visual (AV) Equipment The purpose of this service is to provide Audio Visual equipment in to conference and meeting room environments. The service provides Audio-Visual hardware components for Conference and Meeting rooms and comprises of a Pan-Tilt-Zoom cameras, High Definition LED Screens, LCD Projectors, Microphones, Video/Audio switches and video furniture.
