3 Interpreting the PS5000 Series Model Code A portion of the PS5000 Series model code differs according to the specification. When purchasing the PS5000 Series, carefully check the model code to order before making your purchase. 11 2.2 Touch Panel For slim types of PS5000 Series, a touch screen using projected capacitive type of technology is used. This screen may run incorrectly depending on an environment in which the screen s surface gets wet. Confirm the following descriptions before use. When conductive substances like water attach to a touch screen, touch control gets disabled to prevent incorrect touch input operation. Touch control gets disabled to prevent incorrect touch input operation. If situations that cause disabled touch control are removed, the touch function will automatically get enabled. The touch panel s firmware is automatically initialized during boot of Windows. Please do not touch the touch screen area while the operating system is starting. The touch panel may be affected by noise of connected devices. Be sure to confirm grounding of utilized devices including this product. 2.3 Main memory PS57*1W does not allow users to add memory. Please be aware of it. Interpreting the PS5000 Series Model Code 2.4 Installation PS57*1W is large a little than PS371*A, but larger space is required than the values shown below for safe installation with adequate air circulation considered. Top/Bottom, Back Left/Right 1 :Intake air 2:Emission 2.5 Serial Interface You can add one port for a serial interface compatible with communication types (RS232/422/485) as an option item to PS5000 Series. To add it, select a number between 2 and 6, inclusive for the 14 th digit of model code. To add it after purchasing PS5000 Series, please purchase the option item and mount it. To make RS422/485 communication via the added serial interface, arbitrary software that can switch the RTS line every time a driver is sent or received is required. It s not automatically switched. 2.6 USB Interface USB Interface of PS57*1W has 2 ports in total; USB 2.0 x 1 and USB 3.0 x 1. Use a channel corresponding to a connected device. 11

The maximum power consumption of the entire product including the value of supplied power is 60 W. 2.9 Panel cut dimensions The panel cut dimensions for the PS57*1W differ from those of the PS371*A.
