3 Essentia Models Three models of the Essentia amplifier are tailored to meet different specific needs With 32 channels of EEG and seven active reference pairs, the Arc Essentia is a flexible, robust amplifier engineered for clinical EEGs, long-term epilepsy monitoring and brain monitoring in the intensive care unit. Essentia s unique hardware design ensures high quality EEG signals, even in noisy environments. It is rugged and water-resistant, and its construction exceeds today s stringent safety standards. It will withstand the use and abuse of real-life clinical practice. A single cable provides amplifier power and communication. Essentia offers: Up to 2000 Hz storage rates. Quick start: Create one-click custom study buttons, and begin a study instantly on the Arc Start Page. Setups can be tailored just the way you like them. Customize your views, windows, displays, montages, event buttons and hotkeys. Create and customize your own study types. Access your custom settings on any Arc system in your network. Dock, float, reposition or remove windows from a view at any time during recording or review to see exactly what you need. Start a study instantly. Open a study with one click without entering patient information to start recording. Appointments in CadSchedule populate the Start Page, and studies can be started instantly from the patient list in Arc. Your view, your choice: Split your view between live and review. Choose between a full screen, partial screen or a calibrated screen. Watch live recording and review simultaneously on one screen, two screens or more. Review a record in half the time. Satellite View shows up to 100 pages at once. Expand the page to full size with a single click to inspect events. View one to 100 pages at a time with Satellite View to show the entire course of seizure episodes. Highlight areas of interest during a recording. During review, move from one highlighted area of interest to the next while leaving the entire record intact. You can even export just highlights for review. Automatic shading of reviewed pages lets you know what has been read so you can quickly pick up where you left off. 4

5 Pan, tilt and zoom are integrated into Arc software. Videos are simpler than ever with integrated camera pan, tilt and zoom in Arc. The Zooming window and unique video highlighting capabilities enhance the ability to detect subtle movements during both recording and playback. Superimpose traces over a transparent video or display video in a separate window or monitor. EEG acquisition and display can be accessed at the bedside, the nurses station, the technology review station and the physician s office. Configure Arc Essentia EEG on the same computer as Sierra EMG/EP, as shown on this Point of Care Cart. Multi-modality systems share computers, carts and CadLink. Point of Care Cart The lightweight Point of Care Cart is a dynamic option for private practice use that comes with two arm mount brackets, a shelf and a bin. Options include a pullout keyboard shelf or a mouse pad, additional arm brackets and arms, a footswitch holder, an additional bin and an accessories bag. Wall-Mounted Essentia with Mini PC This mini PC-based system can be remotely monitored and controlled from any Arc review station. It is an ideal solution for space-critical LTM. 6

7 T2 Cart The robust T2 Cart can accommodate an all-inone computer or a desktop computer with a monitor, printer and uninterrupted power supply. It includes two arm brackets, a drawer, and a pullout keyboard shelf. Options include a cable holder or accessory bag, a mount for a camera and infrared illuminator. The T2 is well suited for LTM and multi-modality use. Pole Cart The Pole Cart has a small footprint for the ICU. It comes with a collapsible keyboard tray, a storage basket and a shelf. Add a camera and infrared illuminator mount, an uninterrupted power supply, and a remote input headbox to create a complete ceeg monitoring station. Arc Alterna Ambulatory EEG Arc Alterna is an ambulatory EEG system with 32- channel color-coded inputs delivering up to four days of clinical and at-home recording. The compact Alterna has a push button microphone for EEG- -synchronized verbal diary entries. Add on the Arc photic stimulator and the Q-Video Mobile 2 with built-in auto-switching infrared illuminator to capture and synchronize video with EEG both day and night. 8 CadLink Clinical Information Management Platform CadLink provides secure and efficient access to clinical information when and where it is needed. It enables remote live review and remote control capabilities. CadLink Features and Options Simple Setup. The CadLink Server automatically updates the local CadLink clients. Updates of CadLink and Arc software occur independently of each other. Fail-Safe Data Streaming. CadLink safeguards you from network connection failures. Automatically stream EEG and video data from the recording station to the CadLink Server while also storing data locally. If a connection fails, streaming to the server resumes automatically when the network is back online. Once all the data is streamed to the server and verified, the data is cleared from the recording station. Local hard drives won t fill up and cause interrupted studies. HL7 Support. Import patient information from the HIS/ EMR into CadLink using HL7 messaging. Export results and reports back to the EMR when the examination is completed. CadSchedule. Schedule tests, visits, patients, rooms, personnel, etc. from any CadLink PC, and the appointment will auto-populate the Arc software home screen. Secure Data and Communication. All communication and data is encrypted. Point to point communication without the use of shared folders ensures safe and efficient data transfer. Auto Archiving. Automatically archive data according to predefined criteria and ensure short-term storage never gets full. Get automatic notifications of Auto Archiving status. 9 Options Audio and video options include cameras, HD cameras, infrared illuminators, microphones and intercoms. A compact Remote Input Headbox with color-coded inputs and secure cable connectors provides patient convenience and recording integrity with a small footprint. The Photic Stimulator connects to the PC via a single USB cable for power and communication with the Arc software. Additional Accessories A Patient Event Button is available with a 10 /3m or 25 /7.6m cable. A USB Sp02 sensor is available for the Essentia E3 amplifier. Articulating arms and flex arms are available for most accessories. Pull-pins make quick work of mounting and moving Essentia amplifiers, and are available on flex arms, articulating arms, wall mounts and Pole Cart brackets. John Cadwell, BSEE, MD, saw a need for innovative and reliable neurophysiology instruments during his residency at the University of Washington School of Medicine in the 1970s. He combined his experience in electrical engineering and medicine to design the world s first microprocessor-controlled EMG instrument. John Cadwell, BSEE, MD, develops the world s first microprocessor-controlled EMG instrument. He partners with his brother Carl Cadwell, DDS, and together they form 1980s Cadwell develops best-selling 5200A EMG and introduces the Spectrum 32 EEG. 1990s Sierra EMG replaces 5200A. Easy EEG and Cascade IONM are launched. 2000s Cadwell develops industry s best integrated report generator. Cadwell releases Easy PSG. 2010s Cadwell expands its Kennewick headquarters and opens offices in China, Singapore and the Netherlands. Cadwell releases new Arc EEG line, and expands Sierra and Cascade product lines.
