1 DEEP SEA ELECTRONICS 890 / 891 GATEWAY INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS ISSUE 3.1 The Gateway communicates to the connected controller(s) monitoring the instrumentation and operating state. If the data changes, the new data is logged in the Gateway s memory. At regular intervals the logged data is transmitted to the WebNet host server via ethernet (890 / 891) or GPRS 2G/3G (890 only, SIM card not supplied by ). Additionally, 890 contains a GPS location receiver. For more detailed information please refer to the Operating manual and Software manuals listed below. SETUP You may wish to consult your company IT department before making changes to your PC network settings. Connect the Gateway ethernet port directly to your PC Ethernet port. You can use either a straight through or crossover network cable. Set the PC IP address as shown. Using Google Chrome, Microsoft Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox, enter the IP address of the gateway. Enter the username and password of the Gateway. NOTE:- Username and Password are both CASE SENSITIVE. 7 COMMUNICATIONS INTERFACE The is used in conjunction with supported controllers to provide monitoring and communications data via the advanced communications system. The communicates to a maximum of five connected controller(s), monitoring the instrumentation and operating state. When this data changes, the new data is logged in the internal memory.
