1 Registration Made Simple with Flex Reg Returning students and new students who have completed assessment can use the Flexible Registration system (FlexReg) to search, plan a schedule and register for credit courses. Start Your Registration Build Your Schedule Register for Classes Pay for Classes Manage Your Registration Shopping Cart Tips Page 1 Page 3 Page 4 Page 7 Page 9 Page 10 Start Your Registration Click on the semester or session you need, and you will be directed to the class Search box and Login. Tip: You do not need to be logged in to view the courses, but it easier easier to register if you log in with your username and password when you start. If you have forgotten your password, click on forgot password to retrieve it. Flex Reg User Guide 1 Version: 11.0

2 After you are logged in, you may see if there are any holds or if your registration status may prevent you from registering. Click for descriptions. Flex Reg User Guide 2 Version: 11.0

3 Build Your Schedule 1. Start by entering a word or two in the Search box that describes the class you want. 2. You can use Advanced Search to narrow your results. For instance, if you want to see all ART classes, you can simply enter ART in the search box and click the magnifier icon. 3. You are now in the Schedule Builder where you can browse for classes based on your search criteria (displayed on the left), and add them to your schedule (displayed on the right). When you choose a course and place it in your schedule, it is simply on hold in your shopping cart. You are not yet registered for the course. 4. To add a class, place your cursor (hover) over the class you want to select in the Search Results window on the left and drag-and-drop to the Schedule on the right, or click on the plus icon. 4 5. The class now displays in your Schedule in List View. You can switch between List View to Weekly View by clicking on the View in the upper right corner of the Schedule. List View Weekly View Flex Reg User Guide 4 Version: 11.0

5 Register for Classes When you are ready to register for the classes in your Schedule: 1. Select Register from the Schedule Builder screen. You may now be prompted to log in. 2. The Registration Results screen is displayed, and you can see the progress meter that shows how far along you are in the process. 3. When you reach the Review step, you can see which courses classes are in your shopping cart and make some final adjustments to the cart. You are not registered for classes until you Proceed to Payment and select a payment option. 4. If you choose not to register for a class, you can select Remove from Shopping Cart from the action drop down menu, then select Update Registration or, to remove all classes from your cart, select Cancel registration (lower left). 5. When you are satisfied with your class selections, select Proceed to Payment. You must Proceed to Payment to be registered even if you decide to use the Pay Later option. 6 The dollar amount on the Registration Confirmation only reflects course fees associated with the class. A detailed list of tuition and college fees for the semester will be shown on the Final Invoice. Cancelling your registration at this point will cancel your seat in the course! The progress meter will indicate that you are now on the Payment step. Flex Reg User Guide 6 Version: 11.0

7 Pay for Your Classes (Please disable pop-up blockers to allow Touchnet to display properly.) Click on the button for your payment option. Pay by credit card Click on Continue to pay with your credit card. When your payment is accepted, it will be acknowledged in the Final Invoice screen in Flex Reg. Bill me later Click on Continue. You have registered successfully. You must set up a payment plan in SIMON or pay your bill when you receive the statement to guarantee your seat in the class. Pay close attention to the billing payment schedule. Visit If you expect a financial aid award, click on Bill me later. Click Continue. Check SIMON for your financial aid award status. Click on SIMON or go to Flex Reg User Guide 7 Version: 11.0

8 You need to know: Saving a class plan in your shopping cart does not guarantee your seat in the class. Your shopping cart may change if you don t register and pay for the classes. Flex Reg User Guide 8 Version: 11.0

9 Manage Your Registration Log in to view or change your existing class registration in the Manage Registration screen. The classes in which you are currently registered will display. If you need a copy, click on Print. To change your registration, select Drop B4 Class Begins from the action drop down menu and click on Save to finalize your change. Check the academic calendar for drop date refund information at After you have learned to use Flex Reg, you can use these links at the top of the page for quick and direct access to Flex Reg screens. 10 Tips for using the FlexReg Shopping Cart Save Your Schedule in a Shopping Cart If you want to save your schedule now and register later: 1. Enter the name of your schedule in the Save Plan box, and click on the Save button. You may now be prompted to log in. 2. You can overwrite an existing plan by choosing Replace an existing plan. Choose an existing plan from the drop down menu. Select the plan you wish to overwrite and select Save. 3. The next time you log into the system, you can retrieve saved plans from Saved Plans at the top of the screen. 4. Select Add to Builder to add the classes listed in the plan to the schedule. You need to know: Your shopping cart plan may change if you don t register and pay for the classes.
