1 Request Policy Number from AgentNet The purpose of this document is to provide information on how to get an AgentNet policy number from within FAST. From within the Product(s) section, confirm that the correct products are selected before proceeding. Product(s) in the File Homepage will be the products that are made available in the Request Policy Number screen. NOTE: If you have closed the file and the correct product is not listed within the Request Policy Number screen, the product will need to be added on the File Homepage since you may not modify it after the file has closed without having to recalculate. Request Policy Number Screen An applicable AgentNet product may be selected and a policy number may be requested from AgentNet from within the Request Policy Number screen in your FAST file. Once the number is returned to FAST, it is available for assignment to a policy document in the Document Repository. Access the FAST file that requires a Policy Number from AgentNet and proceed with the following steps: 1. From the Navigation Tree, click Request Policy Number 2. Enter your AgentNet Credentials within the login screen 3. Click Submit 1

2 NOTE: On successful login, the login credentials are stored. Please refer to AgentNet User Guide for password reset and/or expiration instructions. 4. Select the applicable Firm from the dropdown list NOTE: If you have HQ activity rights in FAST you will have access to the Firm field. If multiple Firms are associated in AgentNet, a selection may be made from the dropdown list. The selection of Firm provides an associated Office list (step 5) 5. Select the applicable Office from the dropdown list NOTE: If the agent has only one Office in AgentNet, FAST will populate it automatically. If the agent has more than one Office in AgentNet where the agent may place orders, FAST will populate all of them in the dropdown list with the agent s default office at the top of the list. 6. Select the applicable Underwriter from the dropdown NOTE: If the Title Owning Office only has one Underwriter in AgentNet, FAST will populate it automatically and the user may not change it; otherwise, the user must choose from the Underwriter dropdown list. 7. Click to highlight the applicable FAST Product for the Policy Number Request 8. Click NOTE: The AgentNet Policy Number displays for the associated FAST Product in the Policy Number column. 2

3 Add an AgentNet Product If the product is not an AgentNet Product, the user may select an applicable product. 1. Click the Sel button associated to the FAST Product 2. From within the Select Product window, select the radio button associated to the Product Name NOTE: When selected, the Product Name will populate to the AgentNet Product column. Add a Fee Description Optionally, a Fee Description may be added for a product. 1. Click the Sel button associated to the FAST Product 2. From within the Select Fee window, select the radio button associated to the Fee Description NOTE: The Fee Descriptions within the Select Fee window are generated from Fee Entry when fees are generated using FACC or manually entered for a product NOTE: When selected, the Fee Description and amounts, when available, will populate to the Fee Description column.). Add a Product A product may be added to a FAST Product that already has an AgentNet Policy Number assigned to it from within the Request Policy Number screen. 1. Select the associated FAST Product 2. Click 3

4 NOTE: The additional second Policy is added to the FAST Product list. Complete the steps within the Request Policy Number section of this documentation. Void a Policy Number A FAST Product that already has an AgentNet Policy Number assigned and has a status of open may be voided within the Request Policy Number screen. 1. Select the associated FAST Product 2. Click 3. A message will prompt Are you sure you wish to void this policy?. Click OK 4. The Void Reason window requires a text entry. 5. Enter a Void Reason 6. Click Done Event Tracking Log The Event Tracking Log shows the AgentNet Policy Number for Policy Number received and Policy Number Void Request events. 4

5 Policy Document Info Tab The requested policy number may be pulled into your policy documents that have a status of Created. From within the Document Repository, the steps to add the Policy Number to existing policy documents that have already been created in the file are: 1. From the document list, select the Policy you are working with 2. Click the Info Tab 3. Click 4. The Policy Number and FAST Product automatically populate into the designated fields if there is only one match and is not editable NOTE: A Policy Number may also be manually entered into the Policy Number field prior to using the Assign Policy Number feature. NOTE: If there are multiple products with unassigned AgentNet Policy Numbers that match one or more products in the document s Product Validation list, FAST displays a dialog to select a product/policy number combination for the policy document. 5

6 5. Click 6. Click the Search Results tab 7. Click to highlight the Policy document the number was just assigned to 8. Click the Edit button NOTE: The Policy Number renders to the Policy Number Data Element in the policy document and is not editable in the document editing screen. NOTE: A policy number is required within the Policy Number field in order to finalize a policy. De-archive Policy When Voiding Policy Number 1. From the Navigational Tree, click Request Policy Number 2. Select to highlight the product that has an assigned Policy Number that is to be voided 3. Click Void Number 6

7 NOTE: The following message will display when a void attempt is made for a policy that has been archived. File Activity Restrictions While File Has AgentNet Policy Numbers The following may not be performed when a FAST file has AgentNet Policy Numbers issued: Change the File Status to Canceled or Open in Error Change Property State Change Title Owning Office or Underwriter Remove Title Service Remove a product in File Homepage if it has an AgentNet policy number assigned to it Use Starter/Ref to copy Property Address/Legal/Tax Info or Documents NOTE: User must void all AgentNet Policy Numbers manually to remove restrictions stated above. Searching for a File Using Policy Number If you enter an AgentNet/STARS Policy Number to search for a file, you must use a Policy Number that is assigned to a policy document in the file. If you use a Policy Number that was requested from AgentNet, but is not assigned to a policy document, File Search will not find the file. 1. Select Search from the shortcut bar 2. Select the Policy No. radio button 3. Enter the policy number in the Number field 4. Click Find Now NOTE: FAST loads the file containing the Policy Number. The file number displays in the MRU field and the File Homepage displays: 7

8 5. From the Navigational Tree, select Document Repository 6. Locate the Policy and click to highlight 7. Click the Info tab NOTE: The policy number that was entered in the File Search screen displays in the Policy Number field. 8
