4 BEFORE WE START! The following document will help users with the procedures required to successfully complete Danson s new Vendor Item Quote Forms. The following assumptions are made in regards to this Guide: The user has appropriate user rights to perform the functions outlined within this guide; The user has an already established Internet connection; The user has enough computer experience to follow this Step-by-Step Guide and understands the basic concepts of using Microsoft s Internet Explorer Version 7 or greater; The user is utilizing Microsoft Windows XP SP2 or greater as their operating system; Other operating systems (Apple OS, Android etc.) and browsers (Safari, Chrome, Firefox etc.) may work without issue however are not ones we can offer support or guidance on should they be used and issues are encountered. Should any of the above NOT be true, please contact our TechSupport Dept. at techsupport@dansondecor.com. IMPORTANT! The use of this Guide and the procedures and software included in the Guide is for the express use of current Danson Decor Inc. (hereafter referred to as Danson ) employees and vendors only. In addition, the use of these Danson resources by employees is covered by the Danson Decor Inc. Acceptable Use Policy. Any misuse of these products and resources will not be tolerated. STYLE CONVENTIONS Any text in Bold Green is used to denote an action; you are being asked to perform a specific task. Any text in Bold Italic Burgundy is used to denote a specific resource name. Any text in Bold Black is a resource, button or menu action description. Any text in Berlin Sans FB 10pt Red is a note. Any image showing the click finger icon denotes that you need to click on the resource or button. The light bulb icon denotes a tip or shortcut. Page 4 of 11

5 Step 1: Navigate to the Resource Our new On-Line PO Lookup resource for vendors can be found at the following URL (click on the link below or copy/paste the link URL into your browser). Once at this URL, your screen should look like below. In addition to providing valuable resources and documents on the page, ready for consultation and/or download, we now offer our new On-Line PO Lookup. This new resource will provide vendors with the same information as presented on our print PO s but add in new functionality such as: Ability to view a photo of each item, enlarge it, and compare it against your records to ensure we are always ordering the same product; Provide easily visible reference as to whether a Stuffed Article Label or Phytosanitary (Fumigation) Certificate is required; All UPC-A and new GTIN-14 barcodes are displayed as images which can be individually selected (right-click) and saved as an image file or you can use our handy Download All.. button to quickly obtain all barcodes in a single click. 6 Step 2: Entering your PO Information To access your PO information you will require 2 different sets of data; your Danson Vendor number as well as the Danson PO number. This information is shown on our print PO which you will have received. Please refer to the image below to see where this information can be found on the first page of any of our print PO s. Once you have these 2 sets of data, you are now ready to access our resource. In the widget located on the right-hand side of your screen, enter the information in the appropriate fields and press the Submit button. NB: Clicking on the Need help? link will only bring up this document. Page 6 of 11

7 Step 2: Entering your PO Information (Continued) Should you enter invalid information; a warning message will appear as shown to the right. You must always enter the combination of Vendor number and PO number. If for some reason you cannot see or understand either of these numbers on your print copy of your PO, please feel free to ask our merchandiser who sent you the PO for any unclear information. Step 3: The Data Once you have entered your data, you will get a real-time snapshot of the information on your PO. This means that should we have made changes to your PO since the last print copy you received, you will be shown the current data, including the changes, directly from our system. The information contained on our on-line version mirrors the format as shown on our print PO with new functionality and additions. Page 7 of 11

8 Step 4: Downloading All Barcodes Once your PO data loads, at the top of the items, you will notice a brown button labeled Download all barcodes. Clicking on the button will download a ZIP file containing all the UPC-A and GTIN-14 barcodes for your order, our Barcoding Guidelines document PDF file, samples of the GTIN-14 labels for inner polybags, inner boxes and master cases as well as an image showing correct label placement. When you click on the link, you will get a message to save the file. Windows 7 Users: Click on the drop down box beside Save Select Save as and save it to a location you will be able to find easily after saving. Page 8 of 11

9 Step 4: Downloading All Barcodes (Continued) Windows XP Users: Click on the Save button and save it to a location you will be able to find easily after saving. All Users: You can then open the ZIP folder using any unzip software or even Windows Explorer. Within the ZIP file you will find the following files: Page 9 of 11

10 Step 4: Downloading All Barcodes (Continued) Simply use the images contained in the ZIP file and insert them into any commercial label software or Word Processing program to create your labels. 2 Free Software that can be used to make labels are: idautomation - Barcode Label Design Application Avery Labels - DesignPro for PC Program Avery Labels - Templates for popular software NB: Please refer to our General Disclaimers located on our website before using the above links. Step 5: Downloading Barcodes Individually You also have the option of downloading any barcode image individually. Simply right-click on the barcode, select Save picture as and rename and save the image in a location easily accessible after saving the file. NB: Ensure to name each file separately and uniquely if you download more than 1. If you do require more than a single image, we suggest you still utilize the method outlined in Step 4 above. 11 Step 5: Other Information Item Photos: As noted in the image on the previous page, you can now view our images of the items we are purchasing and enlarge them to view the photos in greater detail. This will help in ensuring that the correct product we are expecting is shipped. Stuffed Article Labeling Requirements: We are now visually highlighting any item that requires a Stuffed Article Label. This will be denoted with a red Yes. Phytosanitary (Fumigation) Certificate Requirements: We are now visually highlighting any item that requires a Phytosanitary (Fumigation) Certificate. This will be denoted with a red Yes.
