Overview Extension Features Add Articles to Your Website Create Categories for Articles Images and Videos Gallery Manage Comments Block Configure Blog Meta Details Assign Related Products and Articles Magento Advance Articles extension empowers you to start publishing articles on your ecommerce website to inform, educate, and convert users into customers. With WYSIWYG editor, you can easily write, edit, and format text of the article. Create categories to classify articles among different topics. You can create image and video gallery, and easily assign them to articles. You can enable blocks to highlight articles, categories, and recent comments on the blog. Compose and publish articles right on your ecommerce website with the help of WYSIWYG editor along with summary and Author name. Add Categories to classify articles meaningfully on your website. You can configure meta details of each category for better SEO. Create and manage galleries of images and videos, and easily assign them to each article on your blog. Display Recent Comments on the Articles in an attractive block. Incorporate Google ReCaptcha to avoid spam comments. Add Meta details to the blog section, each category, and article to ensure its higher search engine visibility. Let the readers find you easily through SERPs. 5 Installation Instructions Method 1 1. Unzip fme_articles-x.x.x.zip to a local folder. 2. Make folder 'FME' in to your_magento_directory /app/code/ 3. Copy unzipped folder 'Articles' to your_magento_directory /app/code/fme (If different name then rename it to Articles) 4. Go to your_magento_directory /app/etc/ 5. Open config.php file in etc folder 6. Add below line in $modules array at the end 'FME_Articles' => 1, 7. Now open console or shell window 8. Go to your magento directory and run the below command php setup/index.php update 9. Now logout from your admin panel and again login you will see FME Extensions Menu in Left Menu of your admin panel Method 2 1. Unzip fme_articles-x.x.x.zip to a local folder. 2. 6 User Guide After installation of module, make sure the setup is upgraded and static-contents are deployed. Login to admin panel and flush you Magento cache storage. I. How to Configure the Extension: Once logged in to the Admin Panel go to the Configurations. You can enter there from Admin Menu > FME Extensions. Here you will have access to the following settings: Article Settings: Blog Enable: Use this option to enable/disable the module Enable Header Link: Select yes to enable the header for the module. Header Link Title: Enter a title for the header link Enable Footer Link: Select yes to enable the footer link Footer Link Label: Enter a footer link label for the module Article Mode: This option will allow you to choose either list view or grid view for the articles main page Recent Post Block: Enable Recent Posts: Select yes to enable recent post block Enable RSS subscription: Select yes to enable RSS feeds Recent Posts Title: Enter a title for recent posts block 6 User Guide

7 No of Posts: Enter the number of post to limit the posts appearing on the recent posts block Post Video Gallery: Enable/disable videos gallery: Select yes to enable video gallery on article detail page SEO Configurations: Page Title: Enter a page title for main articles page Description: Enter a meta description for main page Keywords: Enter keywords for articles main page Slug: Enter the identifier to access your module (e.g. In this case article is slug URL Suffix: Enter a suffix like.htm or html Category Page URL: This option allows you to access the category page either through a category id or via URL key 7 User Guide

8 Camera Slider Settings: Select Animation: Select a desirable animation for the carousal at articles main page Pause on Hover: Select yes if you wish to pause the carousal on hover Loader: Select a loader for carousal like pie, bar, none Show Navigation Button: Select yes if you wish to show next and previous buttons on carousal. Show Pagination: Select yes if you wish to show pagination Slide Duration: Enter a slide duration for the slider like 1500, 2500, User Guide

9 Article Detail Settings: Show Attached Products: Select yes if you wish to display attached product with an article on article detail page Show Sharing Option: Select yes if you wish to allow user to share the article on social networking sites Show Related Posts: Select yes if wish to display related articles with an article on article detail page Allow Comments: Select yes if you wish to let the user comment on an article on article detail page Article Comments: Enable Antispam Check: Select yes to activate antispam checks Google Recaptcha Key: Enter the Google recaptcha key that you created for your site 9 User Guide

10 Recent Comments Block: Enable / Disable Block: Select yes if you wish to enable the recent comments block. Block Title: Enter a suitable title for your recent comments block. Show Number of Comments: Enter a number which will determine the amount of comments to be displayed on the recent comments block. Facebook Comments: Enable Facebook Comments: Select yes to activate Facebook comments option on article detail page App ID: Enter your Facebook App ID Number Of Posts: Enter a number to limit the number of Facebook comments on frontend 10 User Guide

11 Search Block: Enable Block: Select yes to enable the search block Search Button Title: Enter a suitable title for the search button Search Block Title: Enter a suitable title for the search block on articles main page and article's detail page Article's Tab on Product Page: Enable / Disable Block: Select yes if you wish to display the articles on product detail page articles will appear on product which are attached with articles in admin section of Manage Articles Tab Title: Enter a suitable for the articles tab on product page Show Number of Articles: Enter a number to limit the number of article appearing on product detail page 11 User Guide

14 II. How Add Categories to Blog: Step 1 Go To Manage Categories: At the backend go to Manage Categories. You can go there from FME EXTENSIONS > Manage Categories. Here you will find the following settings, click on Add New Category to proceed. Step 2 Fill Required Information: Now here you have to fill your category information. For the purpose of this demo we have added the following information. 14 User Guide

15 Step 3 Frontend: Now at the frontend you category will be shown as the following pointed field. You can always go back and edit this information and add blogs to this category. III. How Add Articles: Step 1 Go To Manage Articles: At the backend go to Manage Articles. You can go there from FME EXTENSIONS > Manage Articles. Here you will find the following settings, click on Add New Article to proceed. 15 User Guide

16 Step 2 Fill Required Information: Now here you have to fill your article information. For the purpose of this demo we have added the following information. You can attach images, videos and many other things as per your requirements. 16 User Guide

18 IV. How Add/Edit Media, Comments & Videos: 1. Add/Edit Media: At the backend go to Manage Media. You can go there from FME EXTENSIONS > Manage Media. Here you will find the following. Click on Add New Gallery to add media. The added media will be saved in the extension and can be used for the articles. 2. Manage Comments: At the backend go to Manage Comments. You can go there from FME EXTENSIONS > Manage Comments. Here you will find all the comments posted on the frontend by your users. You can approve them here and even edit them as per your requiremnts. 18 User Guide

19 3. Add/Edit Videos: At the backend go to Manage Videos. You can go there from FME EXTENSIONS > Manage Videos. Here you will find the following. Click on Add New File to add videos.
