3 Definitions of Terms EPSG GSD Mapfile MBR MGRS NUI Shapefile WMS European Petroleum Survey Group: Spatial reference codes used to denote varying geographic coordinate systems. Ground Sample Distance: The physical size of a pixel on the earth s surface (for example, a GSD of 1 meter means that a pixel covers 1 meter on the ground). A file format containing WMS layer information for use with PIXIA Corp. s HiPER LOOK Server. Minimum Bounding Rectangle: The minimum bounds needed to encompass all imagery within a NUI file. Military Grid Reference System: A coordinate system used by NATO militaries. New Universal Image : A single large file formed from a collection of many smaller source image files that are geospatially compatible. A file format containing vector-based geographic data. 4 HiPER LOOK Server Introduction The HiPER LOOK Server allows users to access data within NUI containers via the standard web mapping service (WMS) and web map tile service (WMTS) interfaces. In addition to HiPER LOOK Viewer, which is a thin client that comes packaged with each HiPER LOOK Server installation, users can employ a variety of third-party viewers that support WMS and WMTS to view data served by the HiPER LOOK Server. This guide outlines how to configure the HiPER LOOK WMS and WMTS in a few common third-party clients such as Google Earth, Esri ArcMap, QGIS and GIA. Google Earth Installation Download and use the provided installer at Using with HiPER LOOK Server 1. Start Google Earth. 2. Navigate to the desired location on the globe that corresponds to the layer data. Figure 1: Google Earth PIXIA Corp. Copyright 2015 PIXIA Corp. All rights reserved. Page 2

Display : The display section of the window contains the following tools to enhance the appearance of image and raster data: Contrast Brightness transparency Gamma 1.2. Processing: The Image Analysis window's Processing section simplifies the experience of applying complex processing and analysis techniques to layers of image and raster data in ArcMap. The tools provide one-click options to apply processes, such as Clipping, Normalized difference vegetation index (NDVI) creation, Mosaicking Exporting Mensuration The Mensuration panel contains tools to measure point, distance, angle, height, perimeter, and area from an image (raster dataset or mosaic dataset) with sensor information (or geodata transformation). Height can be measured along an object, its shadow, or both. You can also use a DEM to make a measurement along a surface rather than the projected surface.
