4 Introduction This document gives you an overview of the changes in the latest version of SAP Enable Now 1902 compared to version SAP Enable Now The changes are indicated in the following areas: o New Feature: Describes a new functionality that is not based on existing functions. o Enhancement: Describes an extension added to an existing function. o Optimization: Describes improvements to an existing function. 5 General Changes New interactive book page templates Due to high demand the new interactive overview pages from the SAP Enable Now Info Center can now be directly downloaded and used for free. The template also offers a selection of 4 different tile animations. SAP Enable Now Info Center Enable Now Consolidation of Text Editors To ensure innovation, and prepare for future functions, the existing text editors were harmonized. This ensures standardized editing of texts, independent of the authoring platform that is used. As a result, existing texts are converted internally to a modern format. Optimization, Producer/Manager/Instant Producer Enable Now Text Editor Table Editing The text editor offers the following new features, for better editing and creation of tables: You can now also add tables like other objects, by using the menu Insert Object. When you add a table, you can define the number of columns and rows, the alignment, and the width, as well as the header row and the table style. You can update, delete, or convert existing tables to text, by using the new menu Table Operations. The menu Cell Operations was enhanced with the options to duplicate existing cells and columns, or update individual cells (for example, changing the column width, the row height, or the cell background). 6 Outlines for Elements in the Text Editor For efficient editing, all elements in the text editor can now be displayed with an outline. This improves the visibility of borderless tables, for example. You can show or hide the outlines by using the button Show/Hide Outline. Optimization, Producer/Manager List Styles in the Text Style Editor The text style editor offers the following new options to create list styles, to better implement design guidelines: You can define the upper and lower margins of individual list entries. You can define the indentation for each list level separately. Enhancement, Producer Media Objects To improve handling and editing of multimedia objects, such as audio files, video files or PDF documents, they can now be added with the standalone content type Media Object in the Producer and Manager. When you add these objects, you can choose their name and language. The media object is then displayed in the content tree with an icon that is appropriate to the file format. Media objects can be referenced in other content, or displayed directly in the library. In addition, you can upload them to the Manager and manage them like other objects; this gives them a standalone version history. Media objects can also be moved within the content structure as required, without changing the corresponding link. New Feature, Producer/Manager Enable Now General Changes PUBLIC 6

7 Support for Microsoft Edge The recording and rerecording of process guides, as well as the context-sensitive delivery of content with the Desktop Assistant, is now also supported in the Microsoft Edge browser. When recording and rerecording, you can use the existing application profiles. Note For details, see the Product Availability Matrix. Enhancement, Instant Producer/Producer/Manager SAP GUI 7.6 Support SAP GUI version 7.6 is now supported for the recording and rerecording of process guides, as well as the playback of Desktop Assistant content. The existing SAP GUI application profiles were enhanced accordingly. Enhancement, Producer/Instant Producer/Desktop Assistant Support for Oracle Java 11 The current Oracle Java Runtime Environment version 11 is now supported for the installation and deployment of the Manager under Apache Tomcat. Enhancement, Manager Mandatory Password Change for Manually-Created Users To further improve security when using manually-created users, the system can now require users to change their password at the initial login. You can enable this option in the Server Settings in the Manager. Optimization, Manager (HANA) General Changes PUBLIC 7

8 Accessibility for Learning Content Learning content that is played with the trainer (for example, simulations, book pages) or the library (for example, the Info Center) can now be made accessible with the Producer or the Manager s web editor. This ensures that the content can also be consumed by people with vision impairments or hearing impairments. To enable this, the following functions were added: - Control of content by using the keyboard - Screen reader support - Alternative texts for images Enhancement, Producer/Instant Producer/Desktop Assistant Application Profile Generic Web Application To prepare for the support of recording in more browsers, the application profile Internet Explorer v2 was replaced with the new application profile Generic Web Application. The new application profile can be implemented for the recording of applications in Internet Explorer, for which there is no specific application profile. 9 Content Organization and Collaboration Web Assistant in SAP Enable Now Manager To simplify the setup of the Manager and reduce the time required, Web Assistant is now available to administrators and master authors. The context help and guided tours that are offered by Web Assistant can support them when carrying out their most important processes, and describe functions directly on the Manager user interface. Web Assistant can be switched on under Administration > Server Settings, using the option Enable Web Assistant. New Feature, Manager (HANA) Enable Now Manual Synchronization for Connected Workareas In addition to the regular synchronization interval, the metadata from connected workareas can now also be manually synchronized. As a result, even changes that were made after the last automatic synchronization are now immediately visible in the connected workareas. The corresponding function is in the area Workareas/Tags within the Administration menu in the Manager. Enhancement, Manager (HANA) Import/Export Workarea Structure When importing and exporting the workarea structure, Desktop Assistant objects and their properties are now also considered, so that during the import, existing objects can be modified, and new objects created. 10 Private Intermediate Statuses for Authors Changes to content that is managed centrally in the Manager are now visible to other authors only when the author with write permissions returns them, or publishes the content. As a result, authors can promptly upload intermediate statuses of their work to the Manager, but other authors cannot access this non-finalized content. Optimization, Manager (HANA)/Producer Brute Force Attack Protection for Authentication Requests To ensure the security of the Manager against brute force attacks, if incorrect entries are repeatedly made when logging in, the option to log in again after five incorrect attempts is now incrementally delayed, and the affected user profile is blocked once a certain threshold value has been reached. The attack protection is initially activated, but can be deactivated in the Server Settings in the Manager. Optimization, Manager (HANA) Content Organization and Collaboration PUBLIC 10

11 Process Guides Google Cloud Text-to-Speech To enable high-quality audio support, the texts from process guides can now also be automatically converted to speech, by using the Google Cloud-Textto-Speech API. If a corresponding Google account exists, you can call up the Google Cloud Text-to-Speech dialog window in the Producer under Tools > Text-to-Speech. In the dialog window, you can choose from the languages offered by Google, and adjust the pitch and speed. The conversion can be done either for a single process guide, or multiple guides at the same time. New Feature, Producer Enable Now Application Profiles To improve the recognition and re-recognition of applications, the following application profiles have been added/updated: SAP SuccessFactors (updated) Note For details about supported applications, see the Product Availability Matrix. 12 Rapid Learning Object List Filter in the Book Page Editor For a better overview when you create and edit book pages, the object list in the book page editor now offers a filter. You can use the filter to show or hide individual object types, such as bubbles, images, or shapes, as well as object groups, like template objects. Enhancement, Producer Rapid Learning PUBLIC 12

13 Web Assistant Support of SAP Marketing Cloud and SAP Integrated Business Planning All Web Assistant content that is delivered as standard for SAP C/4HANA Marketing Cloud and SAP Integrated Business Planning can now be adjusted with SAP Enable Now. With the corresponding editing authorizations, authors can open Web Assistant in edit mode, to change the available context helps and guided tours. In addition, new context help and guided tours can be easily added. As a result, both standard SAP content and custom content is displayed for the users of the applications. Enhancement, Web Assistant Release Information To improve communication about new Web Assistant functions, the SAP Enable Now Info Center now contains a dedicated page where the latest Web Assistant updates are described. Authors can open the page in edit mode by using the entry Release Information in the menu Show/Hide Options. Enhancement, Web Assistant Preview in Edit Mode To enable more efficient creation and editing of learning content, authors can now view tiles and bubbles from the user s perspective while editing, thanks to the new Preview control in the dialog window Edit Content. 14 Search in the Learning Center The new search field in the learning center enables the user to search within all the content offered there. Based on the search term that is entered, the content is filtered accordingly. Enhancement, Web Assistant URL Parameter edithelp=true To improve editing of content in multi-page applications such as SAP SuccessFactors, the URL parameter edithelp=true is now kept even when the page is changed. As a result, the edit mode can be deactivated in the central Web Assistant configuration of the relevant applications, but individually activated for authors. Optimization, Web Assistant Help Context Information The Help Context Information dialog window, which among other information includes the current context, the product name, and the product version, can now be called up at any time by using the hotkey Strg+Shift+I, without you having to start the edit mode. Optimization, Web Assistant URL Parameters URL parameters, such as help-product or help-theme, can now be used in all applications in which Web Assistant is integrated. This is especially helpful for test purposes, for example to test learning content for a new version. 15 Hotspot Information For a better analysis of control recognition, the new Element tab page in the Edit Content dialog window shows which recognition rule and element selector were used for the assignment of a hotspot. Enhancement, Web Assistant Hide Control Hide Panel The control Hide Panel on the Web Assistant user interface can now be hidden. If the parameter showminimizebutton with the value false is added in the Web Assistant configuration, the control is no longer displayed. Enhancement, Web Assistant New Product Version When Duplicating Learning Objects To simplify content creation for new product versions, you can now immediately enter a new Web Assistant product version in the Duplicate dialog window, when duplicating learning objects in the Producer. 16 Content Publishing Selection of Configurations During Publishing To simplify the use of various configurations from playback settings and styles, you can now select a configuration directly in the Publishing dialog window. In addition, by using URL parameter?style= it is now possible to start content with specific configurations, without having to publish it independently.
