3 Quick Start Guide Overview This Quick Start Guide is intended to provide you with the information you need to complete primary administrator tasks for the iway PaceConnect module in EFI Pace. Note: This document is a Quick Start Guide and does not contain every administrator task you can perform for the iway PaceConnect module in EFI Pace. This guide contains the following types of notes: Important: When you see this type of note, the information may affect the way you enter fields or may warn you that errors could occur. Pay particular attention to information in these notes. Note: When you see this type of note, the information may serve as a reminder or may provide additional details that do not appear in the procedure. Tip: When you see this type of note, the information might help you use the system more efficiently or may provide an example for a step in a procedure. ToolTips EFI Pace contains ToolTips for some fields that provide detailed information such as a field description, maximum number of characters the field accepts or the format the field requires. Use the ToolTips, where available, in addition to this guide for assistance in EFI Pace. To access ToolTips: In EFI Pace, position your mouse pointer over the name of the field for which you want additional information. 5 Prepare for your iway PaceConnect setup 1. Log in to the iway Web-to-Print workflow system. 2. On the iway main menu, click Settings, then click on the Integrations tab, then click Data Export. The Data Export page appears. 3. On the Data Export page, in the Nerve: Job Order group box, do all of the following: Check the box in the Enable field. In the Folder Path field, enter the path of the folder where you want the iway system to export the appropriate XML files. Note: The folder you select must allow full read and write privileges (with the appropriate password). 4. Click [OK]. 12/15/2009 5

6 Activate your iway PaceConnect module 1. On the EFI Pace Main menu, click Administration, move the mouse over System Setup, then over Connect Center, then click Pace Connects. The Pace Connects List page appears. 2. On the Pace Connects List page, click [Add New Record]. The Pace Connect Add page appears. 3. On the Pace Connect Add page, complete the following fields, as applicable: In the Type field list (required), select iway Job Importer. In the Name field, type iway Job Importer. In the Description box, enter a brief description for the iway job importer. Select the Active check box. 4. Click [Add]. The Pace Connect iway Job Importer page appears with the Object Added message at the top of the page. 12/15/2009 6

7 Establish iway PaceConnect settings in EFI Pace 1. Navigate to the Pace Connects List page in EFI Pace. Refer to the Activate your iway PaceConnect module topic in this Quick Start Guide for more information. 2. On the Pace Connects List page, click the magnifying glass icon next to the iway Job Importer type. The Pace Connect iway Job Importer page appears. 3. Click the Execution tab, and then select the Scheduled check box. The Pace Connect iway Job Importer page refreshes displaying the Schedule Type and Automatic Frequency in Minutes fields. 4. In the Automatic Frequency in Minutes field, enter the frequency in minutes by which EFI Pace will execute the connection. 5. Click [Update]. The Pace Connect iway Job Importer page refreshes with the Updated message at the top of the page. 6. Set up the Pace-Connect-iWay connection location. Set up the PaceConnect iway connection location 7. On the Pace Connect iway Job Importer page, click the Inputs tab, then click [Add New Input]. The Pace Connect Location Add pop-up page appears. 8. On the Pace Connect Location Add pop-up page, do all of the following, as applicable: In the Name field, enter a name for the network location. In the Connection Type field list (required), select the connection type you want to use when connecting to the network location. In the User Name field, enter the user name to use when connecting to the network location. In the Password field, enter the password to use when connecting to the network location. In the Host field (required), enter the DNS name or the IP address of the host of the iway Job Order Nerve output folder. In the Port field, enter the port to use when connecting to the network location. 12/15/2009 7

8 In the Location field, type a forward slash (/) followed by the name of the iway Job Order Nerve folder to which you want to connect. Example: /iway In the Passive FTP field, check the box if this location uses a passive file transfer protocol (FTP). In the Active field, check the box to make this PaceConnect location available in the system. 9. On the Pace Connect Location Add pop-up page, click [Test Network Location]. A message appears and indicates whether the system successfully connects to the location. Click [OK]. Note: If the test fails, verify the information you entered in the fields in the Adding new Pace Connect Location pop-up window and retest. 10. On the Pace Connect iway Job Importer page, click [Add]. The Pace Connect iway Job Importer page refreshes with a grid containing the new location. 11. Set up PaceConnect iway options. Set up iway PaceConnect options 12. On the Pace Connect iway Job Importer page, click the Options tab. 13. On the Options tab, do the following: In the Results field, enter the address where you want the system to send PaceConnect execution results. Select the CSR check box if you want EFI Pace to send an notification to the CSR when the system creates an EFI Pace job as the result of a successful execution. Select the Sales Person check box if you want EFI Pace to send an notification to the salesperson when the system creates an EFI Pace job as the result of a successful execution. 14. Click [Update]. The Pace Connect iway Job Importer page refreshes with the Updated message at the top of the page. 15. Set up the iway PaceConnect item template. Set up the iway PaceConnect item template 16. In the I Way Item Template Identifier field list (required), select the template identifier that you want iway PaceConnect to use to create an EFI Pace job when the system executes PaceConnect. 18. Check the box in the iway Map Order ID field if you want to map the iway order ID to the EFI Pace job description. 19. Check the box in the iway Map Job ID check box if you want to map the iway order ID to the EFI Pace job part description. 20. Click [Update]. The Pace Connect iway Job Importer page refreshes with the Updated message at the top of the page. 21. Set up iway PaceConnect default job options. Set up iway PaceConnect default job options 22. On the Pace Connect iway Job Importer page, click the Defaults tab. 23. On the Defaults tab, in the Job Control group box, complete the following fields: In the Default Job Type field (required), select the default job type you want to assign to jobs imported from the iway system. In the Default Job Status field, select the default job status you want to assign to job status records imported from the iway system. In the Default Shipment Type field (required), select the default shipment type you want to assign to job shipment records imported from the iway system. In the Default Department field (required), select the default department you want to assign to the job notes imported from the iway system. 24. Click [Update]. The Pace Connect iway Job Importer page refreshes with the Updated message at the top of the page. 12/15/2009 9

10 Find iway output device settings 1. Log in to the iway Web-to-Print workflow system. 2. On the iway main menu, click Settings, then click the Output Devices tab. The Output Devices page appears. 3. In the pane on the left side of the Output Devices page, click on each device listed in the Output Devices group box. The information for the selected device appears in the pane on the right side of the Output Devices page. 4. Note the ID(s) of the device(s) listed in the Output Devices group box. 12/15/

11 Set up mapping for the iway PaceConnect module 1. Navigate to the Pace Connects List page in EFI Pace. Refer to the Activate your iway PaceConnect module topic in this Quick Start Guide for more information. 2. On the Pace Connects List page, click the magnifying glass icon next to the iway Job Importer job type. The Pace Connect iway Job Importer page appears. 3. Click the Mapping tab. 4. Set up country code mapping for the iway PaceConnect module. Set up country code mapping for the iway PaceConnect module 5. On the Mapping tab, in the Value Mapping group box, to set country code mapping for existing Map Value: Country fields, do all of the following or skip to Step 6 to add new country code mapping: Click the related Please select a value to map to link. The Pace Connect Map pop-up window appears. On the Pace Connect Map pop-up window, in the Country field list, select the country. Click [Update]. The Pace Connect iway Job Importer page refreshes with the Updated message at the top of the page and the updated value in the unlabeled Value field. 6. To add new country code mapping, do all of the following: Click [Add New Value Mapping]. The Adding new Pace Connect Map pop-up window appears. On the Adding new Pace Connect Map pop-up window, complete the following fields, as applicable: - In the Type field list, select Country. - In the Key field, enter the name of the country you want to assign to the imported job from the iway system. - In the Country field list, select Other. Do one of the following: - Click [Add] to add the current mapping value. 12/15/

12 The Pace Connect iway Job Importer page refreshes with the Object Added message at the top of the page and the new object in the unlabeled Value field. - Click [Add/Add New] to add the current mapping value and create an additional mapping value. The Adding new Pace Connect Map pop-up window refreshes as a blank window. 7. Set up note department mapping for the iway PaceConnect module. Set up note department mapping for the iway PaceConnect module 8. On the Mapping tab, to set note department mapping for existing Map Value: Note Department fields, do all of the following or skip to Step 9 to add new note department mapping: Click the related Please select a value to map to link. The Pace Connect Map pop-up window appears. On the Pace Connect Map pop-up window, in the Note Department field list, select the EFI Pace department you want to assign to the imported job notes from the iway system. Click [Update]. The Pace Connect iway Job Importer page refreshes with the Updated message at the top of the page and the updated value in the unlabeled Value field. 9. To add new note department mapping, do all of the following: Click [Add New Value Mapping]. The Adding new Pace Connect Map pop-up window appears. On the Adding new Pace Connect Map pop-up window, complete the following fields, as applicable: - In the Type field list, select Note Department. - In the Key field, enter the name of the department you want to assign to the imported job notes from the iway system. - In the Note Department field list, select the EFI Pace department you want to assign to the imported job notes from the iway system. Do one of the following: - Click [Add] to add the current mapping value. The Pace Connect iway Job Importer page refreshes with the Object Added message at the top of the page and the new object in the unlabeled Value field. 12/15/

13 - Click [Add/Add New] to add the current mapping value and create an additional mapping value. The Adding new Pace Connect Map pop-up window refreshes as a blank window. 10. Set up press mapping for the iway PaceConnect module. Set up press mapping for the iway PaceConnect module Important: You must match every iway device to an EFI Pace press. 11. On the Mapping tab, in the Value Mapping group box, to set press mapping for existing Map Value: Press fields, do all of the following or skip to Step 12 to add new press mapping: Click the related Please select a value to map to link. The Pace Connect Map pop-up window appears. On the Pace Connect Map pop-up window, in the Press field list, select the press you want to assign to the imported job from the iway system. Click [Update]. The Pace Connect iway Job Importer page refreshes with the Updated message at the top of the page and the updated value in the unlabeled Value field. 12. To add new press mapping, do all of the following: Click [Add New Value Mapping]. The Adding new Pace Connect Map pop-up window appears. On the Adding new Pace Connect Map pop-up window, complete the following fields, as applicable: - In the Type field list, select Press. - In the Key field, enter the name of the press you want to assign to the imported job from the iway system. Note: If you do not know the name of the press in your iway system, refer to the Find iway output device settings topic in this Quick Start Guide. - In the Press field list, select the press you want to assign to the imported job from the iway system. Do one of the following: - Click [Add] to add the current mapping value. 12/15/

The Adding new Pace Connect Map pop-up window refreshes as a blank window. 13. Set up ship via mapping for the iway PaceConnect module. Set up ship via mapping for the iway PaceConnect module Important: For every active shipping method in your iway system, you must match every iway carrier code to an EFI Pace ship via code. 14. On the Mapping tab, in the Value Mapping group box, to set ship via mapping for existing Map Value: Ship Via fields, do all of the following or skip to step 15 to add new ship via mapping: Click the related Please select a value to map to link. The Pace Connect Map pop-up window appears. On the Pace Connect Map pop-up window, in the Ship Via field list, select the shipping method ID you want to assign to shipment records imported from the iway system. Click [Update]. The Pace Connect iway Job Importer page refreshes with the Updated message at the top of the page and the updated value in the unlabeled Value field. 15. To add new ship via mapping, do all of the following: Click [Add New Value Mapping]. The Adding new Pace Connect Map pop-up window appears. On the Adding new Pace Connect Map pop-up window, complete the following fields, as applicable: - In the Type field list, select Ship Via. - In the Key field, enter the shipping method ID you want to assign to shipment records imported from the iway system. Note: If you cannot determine the iway shipping method ID, you can look it up in the XML file that iway exports by searching for the ShippingMethodId attribute in the Shipping element. 12/15/

15 - In the Ship Via field list, select the shipping method ID you want to assign to shipment records imported from the iway system. Do one of the following: - Click [Add] to add the current mapping value. The Pace Connect iway Job Importer page refreshes with the Object Added message at the top of the page and the new object in the unlabeled Value field. - Click [Add/Add New] to add the current mapping value and create an additional mapping value. 16 Match iway customers to EFI Pace customers Tip: You can export an Excel file from iway that includes all customer information. The first column in the spreadsheet contains the customer ID. You can either manually input this information in EFI Pace or modify and import the spreadsheet via the Single Object Importer. 1. Log in to the iway Web-to-Print workflow system. 2. On the iway main menu, click Customers. The Customers page appears. 3. In the pane on the left side of the Customers page, click on each customer listed in the Customers group box. The account information for the selected customer appears in the pane on the right side of the Customers page. 4. For each customer, note the value in the Customer ID field. 5. Log in to your EFI Pace system. 6. On the EFI Pace Main menu, click Accounting, then move the mouse over Receivables, and then click Customer List. The Customers All page appears. 7. On the Customers - All page, click [Find]. The Customers All page refreshes with a list of customers. 8. On the Customers All page, click the magnifying glass icon next to the customer you want to match. The Customer page appears. 9. Click the PaceConnect Info tab. 10. On the PaceConnect Info tab, in the iway group box, enter the iway customer ID in the Customer ID field. 11. Click [Update]. The Customer page refreshes with the Updated message at the top of the page. 12/15/

17 Test your iway PaceConnect module Note: After you set up the iway PaceConnect module, the module automatically exports XML files from iway to EFI Pace once every minute. However, you can use the following procedure to manually import the files. Tip: To test the module, you should create a temporary test customer in iway with an identical record in EFI Pace. This prevents the system from producing test jobs for an actual customer. 1. Navigate to the Pace Connects List page in EFI Pace. Refer to the Activate your iway PaceConnect module topic in this Quick Start Guide for more information. 2. On the Pace Connects List page, click the magnifying glass icon next to the iway Job Importer job type. The Pace Connect - iway Job Importer page appears. 3. On the Pace Connect - iway Job Importer page, click [Execute]. The Process Pace Connect pop-up window appears. 4. On the Process Pace Connect pop-up window, in the Execution Settings field list, select Manual Upload. The Process Pace Connect pop-up window refreshes displaying the Upload Manual File? field. 5. In the Upload Manual File? field, click [Browse]. The Microsoft Windows file pop-up window appears. 6. On the Microsoft Windows file pop-up window, navigate to the folder that contains your iway test customer file, select the file and click [Open]. The Process Pace Connect pop-up window refreshes displaying the file path in the Upload Manual File? field. 7. On the Process Pace Connect pop-up window, click [Process]. EFI Pace processes the request and displays the Process Pace Connect Input: Processed message at the top of the page of a new Internet Explorer session tab. 8. Close the new Internet Explorer tab. The Pace Connect iway Job Importer page appears. 9. Click the Internet Explorer Refresh button. The Pace Connect iway Job Importer page refreshes. 12/15/

18 10. Click the Successful tab. 11. Make note of the job number referenced in parentheses next to the most recently executed test run. Important: If the test run results contain Unable to, you must fix the mapping or the job will not run correctly. The result of the unsuccessful execution also appears on the Failure Executions tab. Refer to the Set up mapping for the iway PaceConnect module. topic in this Quick Setup Guide for detailed mapping instructions. 12. On the Pace Connect iway Job Importer page, click Production, then move the mouse over Job Control Center, then click Jobs. The Open Jobs page appears. 13. On the Open Jobs page, in the Search field list, select Job. 14. Enter the job number in the unlabeled search field and click [Find]. The Open Jobs page refreshes with the job you entered in the grid. 15. On the Open Jobs page, click the magnifying glass next to the test job. The Job Details page appears. 16. Review the job details by clicking through each tab. 12/15/
