2 Summary of the document The user documentation is intended to explain how to use our services to users. It is a guide and instructions for the user. It also helps answer the questions asked most frequently by users, and help them solve problems they might encounter. 1

6 1. Project description BeGreen is a site targeting both individuals and professionals. It allows you to compare and estimate the financial and energy benefits of your products compared to the market. The user will get graphics on costs over time and a list of items with a high rate of return. The site will feature categories / sub-categories (Brand, type, references...) according to the available items. Once categories, filters are available to refine the comparison. When selecting an item we will access the product, as well as a graph on its energy costs / time consumption. An item can be added to the comparison tool, it includes graphics of selected items, and you can view the most profitable. The cost will be calculated with an average price of energy. Every article has a note. This note is the result of the ecological footprint of the product. The ecological footprint gathers all the information related to the environment depends on the life cycle of the product. For example: materials used, transportation, recyclable... It is possible to register for more accurate in indicating the particular products that we have in our homes to compare to new products information. 5

7 2. Web application a. Access to the website To access the website, use your favorite then go to a search engine (eg Google or Bing) web browser. Perform a search using the keywords "Begreen eip" in the search bar. Then click on the link containing the web address, (see Figure 1). Figure 2 - Direct access to the site via the web address b. Login to website Once on the website, you have the possibility to connect. To do this simply click on the "Login" button (see Figure 3), or go directly to the Internet address Figure 3 - Access to the login page via the site menu 6

8 The login page allows you to fill your account information to be logged. The required information are your username and password (see Figure 4). Figure 4 - connection to the site On this page several errors may be encountered: Invalid Password: the password you are trying to use does not match the account you are trying to connect. Invalid Username: the username you are attempting to use does not exist in the database users. It is not required you to log on to the site to take advantage of all the features. However if you want to do more than see our catalog and analyze the products, you must create an account c. Create Account The account creation page allows you to create an account to access the private site features. To access this page, simply click the "Register" button in the menu (see Figure 5), or go directly to the Internet address 7

9 Figure 5 - Access to account creation via the site menu Once the account creation page you will be asked the following information (see Figure 6): Username: Text field that will display on the site and you will be asked during your login. Password: Text field that will be your password used when logging. Confirm Password: Text field which ensures that you have not made errors in typography your password, asking you to retype. Figure 6 - Registration Form On this page the following errors may be encountered: The password must be at least 6 characters: Your password must be at least 6 characters, if this is not the case, the account cannot be created. 8

10 The password and confirm password do not match: The password you entered does not match the password to confirm if the two passwords are not exactly the same account cannot be created. After completing this step successfully you are part of site members. You now have access to all of the following features: Make a request forgotten password: To generate a new password in case you have a problem with your current password. Identify products from home: Save products that are in your home, you can compare them with the products available on the site. Submit an article: If you notice that a product is not available on our website, you can make a difference by suggesting a new product. Inform their information: You can enter your own information to energy consumption such as your energy supplier, your timeslots consumption... These data will improve the calculations in the comparison. Change password: Allows you to change your password. Change your address: To change your address. Disconnect: If you want to return to the user status until your next identification. d. Product Search I It is possible to search for a product or a simple search using the name of the item or by using advanced features such as brand research, category (eg washing machine, TV)... The simple search can be performed directly from the home page of the site (see Figure 7). 9

11 Figure 7- Simple search for a product from the homepage Advanced search can be accessed from a dedicated page where you can fill in as much information. If your search results in multiple results, a list of matching products is presented. This list is organizable according to several criteria such as saliency (the brand, price, ecological note...). Once the search is complete and the product selected, you go to the detail page of the product. All product information are displayed (manufacturer reference price, energy consumption and ecological notes...). From this page you can add the product comparison. e. Compare Products The comparison page is accessible from the site menu or directly via its IP address. On this page you will find the products that you have previously selected. Products are compared according to different criteria (price, power consumption, component, paying manufacturing...). The product with the highest score is highlighted. 10

12 3. Mobile applications a. Windows 8 Login To access the comparison Begreen on applications and the website it is necessary to identify, why fill the first field with your username, then the field directly below with your password. You can create an account by using the "+" button 11

13 Side Navigation The side navigation bar allows you to browse the main sections of the application (by clicking on the associated buttons): - - The catalog - - The comparison tool - - Account management - - Parameters 12

14 Catalog The first level of the catalog allows to select an area from the list. To select an area click on it. Bar horizontal application: You can refresh the list of products using the "refresh" (refresh) button. 13

15 The second level of the catalog allows you to browse the list of products associated to the radius, and select a product to view. Bar horizontal application: It is possible to add or remove a product comparison using the "add" button (add) or "remove" (remove) 14

16 Compare By browsing on the comparison page, you can see the list of products in your compare notes and discover that they have been assigned. 15

17 Account Management By browsing on the account management page, you can view your personal information on your account. Bar horizontal application: 16 You can edit or refresh the give your serious consideration to the buttons "Edit" (edit) and "cool" (refresh). The logout button (log out) exits the session.

18 b. ios Main menu The main menu appears when the application starts. It provides access to the catalog as well as account management. 17

19 Account If you're not already logged in, the account page you can either login or register to enter your information. The connection is made through your address and password you informed. You will receive an alert in case of error when connecting ( or password is invalid, failure to connect to the server, etc...) 18

20 Once connected, the basic informations of your account are displayed. It is possible to modify your informations and change your password, using the "edit" button. The button "logout" allows you to disconnect and return to the login page. The "back" button returns to the main menu. 19

21 Catalog A click on the "Catalog" button in the main menu sends you the list of product categories (washers, TVs, etc...). Once the category is selected, it is possible to search for a product by clicking the magnifying glass symbol, or click on the product name to view details. 20

22 Products comparison Once the details of a product are displayed, it is possible to select it for a comparison by clicking on the «compare» button. If a product is already selected, going on another product s view will lead to the comparison window. 21

23 c. Android Installation To download the applications on Android Begreen visit Google Play. Google Play is an Android application that lets you download your applications. Type "BeGreen" in the Google search bar and click Play "download" 22

24 Creation of an account To create accounts simply click on the Register button. Then fill in the requested information. 26 Product Catalog To access to the product click on the "Products" button and then on the category of your choice. You then go to all the products in the selected category. Clicking on the product, you go to the page of this one 25

28 d. Windows Phone 8 Login / Registration The login page / registration allows you to connect and create a Begreen account. To scroll to different parts swipe your finger from right to left or click directly on the target part. To log in enter your password and confirm with the "validate" button. To create an account using the "+" button. 27

29 Registration To register fill out each field and press the "Save" (save) button. The use of a photo is not required for the creation of an account. 28

30 Homepage To navigate from one party to another slide your finger from right to left or vice versa. The search button allows you to access the search page. The help button "? "Provides access to the help page. 29

31 Search To search, enter one or more keywords in the space to the left of the magnifying glass, then click the magnifying glass to search. 30

32 My Account To access the page "My Account", click on the button "My Account" on the home page. The "My Account" allows you to view and edit information about your account. From the action bar, it is also possible to disconnect from the current session by using the "disconnect" (log out) button and remove the current account using the "delete my account" (delete my account) button. 31

33 About Access the "About" from the home page. This page allows you to discover the members of the team Begreen. 32

34 e. Bug The Begreen applications contain no known bugs. A phase of intensive testing and bug fixing is planned. 33
