1 Calendar Guide: Exchange (Outlook) -> Google How to manually transfer your Exchange (Outlook) calendar over to Google Calendar

2 Do I need to do this? If you don t care much for your old calendar events before July 5th, then you can completely skip this whole process. This is ONLY for people who need their old calendar event records on Outlook. Take a look at your Google Calendar: Do you have any important calendar events on your old Outlook that are not showing up on your new Google Calendar? If you don t (meaning that everything came over), you can stop here. Otherwise, you ll need to manually transfer all the old data from Outlook over to the new Google.

3 What we need to do: Delete all content from your Google Calendar. Save and export your Outlook Calendar to a CSV file. 3. Import your Outlook CSV file into Google. NOTE: Since we are replacing your entire Google Calendar with your Outlook, be aware that anything on your calendar from July 5th, 2017 and onwards will be deleted. The reason why we are replacing the entire calendar instead of merging the data is to avoid duplicate events. You might have to add the events from July 5th and onwards back into your new calendar after the successful transfer.

4 Deleting G Calendar: Steps Navigate to your Gmail Account. In the upper-right corner of the screen, click the [Google apps] icon (cube made up of 12 squares) > Select [Calendar]. From the side panel, click the drop-down arrow next to My calendars > Select "Settings."

5 Deleting G Calendar - Step 4 Click on the Calendar tab on the top left. Find your Calendar (which is usually your name) and on the right side it should say "Sharing". If it says "Share this Calendar" under the Sharing, then move to step 6. If it says, "Shared: Edit Settings", click on it so we can turn off the sharing.

6 Deleting G Calendar: Step 5 Uncheck "Share this Calendar with Others" and click "Save" at the bottom.

7 Deleting G Calendar: Step 6 Now that we're sure that Calendar is not being shared, click on your Calendar to continue.

8 Deleting G Calendar - Steps 7-8 On the resulting "Calendar Details" page, click the "Delete all events in this calendar" link near the bottom. In the resulting pop-up, check the box next to Yes, I definitely want to delete all of the events on my calendar to confirm this action, and then click [Delete all events].

9 Exporting Outlook - Steps 1-2 Open up Outlook. On the top left corner, click "File" > "Open and Export" > "Import/Export"

10 Exporting Outlook - Steps 3-4 Click on "Export to a file > Next. Click on Comma Separated Values > Next.

11 Exporting Outlook - Steps 5-6 Scroll up and click on "Calendar" (which should be just under your ) and click "Next". Click on "Browse".

12 Exporting Outlook - Steps 7-8 Select "Documents" on the left side column and name it "outlookcal". Click OK. Click Next.

13 Exporting Outlook - Steps 9-10 Click Finish. You can manually choose the date range of your calendar events you want saved. Click OK when done. Your outlookcal.csv file should now be saved in your Documents folder.

14 3. Import Outlook > G Calendar: Step Go back into your Google Calendar. At the top of the page, click Settings > Settings. Click Calendars tab. Halfway down the page, find and click Import Calendar.

15 3. Import Outlook > G Calendar: Step Click Choose File. Click on Documents > select your "outlookcal.csv" file. Click Open.

16 3. Import Outlook > G Calendar: Step 8-9 Click Import. Click Close, and then click Back to calendar to return to the Google Calendar.

17 You are done!!! In conclusion: You should now have your Outlook Calendar events imported into your new Google Calendar. Please be aware that the Outlook Calendar no longer works and is only available at the moment for data migration purposes. We will be shutting down the entire Exchange (Outlook) Server in a couple weeks. You should be using the Google Calendar as your primary calendar. If you need to re-add any current events from July 5th and onward, please go through your Gmail and re-accept any invitations.
