3 1. INTRODUCTION SEO is an important part in almost all companies' strategies. SEO does not just mean improving your website for high ranking in top search engines but also improving customers' search experience on your website. With Magento SEO Plus extension, store owners can attract more traffic from search engine with long-tail product-related queries. Besides, SEO plus can cut down search time on site and lead customers to the end of the checkout process. 5 2. HOW TO USE 2.1. Search products On any page of a Magento site, customers can see the search box as below: If customers want to search for a product, they will type the keywords into the search box and click on Search button: Then they will be directed to the search result page: SEO Plus v1.3 5

6 Customers can view the URL of this page. The form of the URL will be similar to the following link: And the source code of this link has meta tags as follows: 2.2. View popular search terms When customers click on Search Terms link at the footer of the web page: They will be directed to the page displaying a list of popular search terms. In this page, customers are able to click on any link to find products in which they are interested. SEO Plus v1.3 6

7 After clicking on the search term, the result page will be shown. It can be seen from our demo site like this: 2.3. Product Tags On any pages of the Magento site displaying product(s), customers can click on a product link(s): SEO Plus v1.3 7

8 Then they will be directed to the Product Detail page: At the bottom of that page, customers can view the product tag form: SEO Plus v1.3 8

9 It s possible for them to see the list of product tags. In case customers want to view products that have similar tags, they can click on the tag link: The list of products that are assigned to this tag will be displayed: Customers can view the URL of this page. 10 2.4. Popular Tags block and All Tags page On the left column, customers may see the box Popular Tags. This box lists all the popular tags and each tag links to the page showing the list of tagged products: When customers click on any tag link: The list of products assigned to this tag will be shown: SEO Plus v1.3 10

11 If customers want to view the list of all tags, they can click on View All Tags link on the bottom right of Popular Tags box: The page listing all tags will be displayed: SEO Plus v1.3 11

12 Customers can click on any tag link: Then the list of products assigned to the tag will be shown: 2.5. Category navigation On any page of a Magento site, customers can click on Category links. SEO Plus v1.3 12

13 The category view page will be shown: On the left column, customers may view the Shop By box with some links to filter products. For example, it can be seen from our demo site that customers click on Digital Cameras link like this: SEO Plus v1.3 13

15 And it s also possible to see the source of the page: If customers want to add more filters, they can click on the filter link on the left column: SEO Plus v1.3 15

16 Customers will be directed to the new filter page: If customers want to clear this filter, they can click on Remove symbol as below: After that, customers will be directed to the page: SEO Plus v1.3 16

18 2.6. Search navigation Customers enter keywords to the search box and click on Search button: Then the search result page will be displayed as below: SEO Plus v1.3 18

19 On the left column, customers are also able to see the Shop By box. Now they can click on any link that they want to filter for results: SEO Plus v1.3 19

20 The filter result will be displayed like this: On this page, customers may operate the filter similarly to generating it on the category view page, such as add a filter, remove a filter or clear all filters. SEO Plus v1.3 20

21 3. HOW TO CONFIGURE To configure settings for this extension, the administrator can log in the back-end and then choose menu System > Configuration: After that, click on SEO Plus tab in the left panel A configuration form of SEO Plus extension will be displayed: SEO Plus v1.3 21

23 2 Enable Cache Yes Enable to use cache rewrite when Rewrite loading Popular search terms page or not. If selecting yes, the terms links on that page will not immediately be changed when you change the configuration. 3 URL Key Prefix search- The prefix of the rewritten URL when searching on your site. 4 URL Suffix.html The suffix of the rewritten URL. 5 Title Template Search results for: '{fquery}' The template to generate a title of the search result page. If this configuration is empty, the default title of the system will be used. 6 Meta Keywords search,{fwords} The template to generate meta keywords for the search result Template page. If this configuration is empty, default keywords will be used. 7 Meta Description Search {query} The template to generate the meta description for the search result Template page. If this configuration is empty, the default description will be used.
