Befre Starting the Deplyment Prcess, please cntact yur Kaltura representative t create a Kaltura Applicatin Framewrk instance fr yu r be certain yu have a KAF instance yu can access. 6 S E C T I ON 2 Tasks t Deply the Kaltura Vide Extensin fr SharePint 2013 Online This sectin describes the wrkflw and steps that shuld be perfrmed t deply the Kaltura Vide Slutin App fr SharePint 2013 Online Step 1 Register the Details f the New Applicatin Targeted fr - SharePint administratrs Descriptin This step is required t prvide the Kaltura Applicatin Framewrk (KAF) with the security details f the applicatin. T register the details f the new SharePint applicatin Visit the SharePint apps registratin page. Navigate t the apps registratin page in Office 365. Paste the fllwing address in yur brwser: Errr! Hyperlink reference nt valid. Replace {SharePintWebsite} with the address f yur Office 365 SharePint site. Yu may chse any f the sites in yur Office 365. The applicatin will be visible t all sites. Fill the registratin frm. Enter the fllwing infrmatin: Client Id Click Generate t autmatically fill-in this field. Client Secret Click Generate t autmatically fill-in this field. Title Enter a title fr the applicatin, fr example: Kaltura Vide Slutin App Dmain Fill-in the base URL f the Kaltura Applicatin Framewrk (KAF) instance yu received frm yur Kaltura representative Redirect URL This field shuld be left blank. Cpy and save the frm details. After cmpleting the frm, the details yu filled-in are presented t yu. Cpy and save these details aside as they will be necessary in the fllwing step. 7 Tasks t Deply the Kaltura Vide Extensin fr SharePint 2013 Online Step 2 Dwnlad the Applicatin Targeted fr - SharePint administratrs Descriptin Within Kaltura Applicatin Framewrk (KAF), fill-in the applicatin registratin details and then dwnlad the app. T dwnlad the SharePint Applicatin 1. Brwse t Kaltura Applicatin Framewrk (KAF) administratin lgin page. 2. Navigate t and replace [yur-kafdmain] with the URL f yur KAF instance (This address was prvided t yu by yur Kaltura representative). 3. Fill-in the details f the app registratin. 4. Within the app dwnlad page, paste the fllwing details yu received when registering the applicatin. Client Id Client Secret 5. Click n Generate App, buttn. The dwnlad shuld begin. 6. Save the file t a directry within yur cmputer. 7. (Optinal) Fill in the appname and appdescriptin t custmize yur App. Yu can als uplad the App s icn frm that screen. Kaltura recmmends t dwnlad and install this feature. The dwnlad shuld begin. When cmplete, save the file t a directry within yur cmputer. Step 3 - (Optinal) - Create an App Catalg Site (If ne des nt exist) Targeted fr - SharePint administratrs Descriptin Deplying apps in SharePint sites require an App Catalg site t register details f new SharePint applicatins. Yu may already have the App Catalg site in yur Office 365 accunt, in which case yu d nt have t create a new App Catalg site. T set up an app catalg n SharePint Online Navigate t the Office 365 SharePint administratin page frm any site in yur Office 365 SharePint sites. On the Office 365 admin center page, chse Admin, and then chse SharePint. In the left task pane, chse apps. On the apps page, chse App Catalg. Yu are presented with either yur App Catalg site r a frm t create a new App Catalg site. If yu have an App Catalg site skip t Step 4 - Uplad the App t the Catalg. If yu see this after clicking n App catalg then yu already have an App Catalg site and shuld g t Step 4 - Uplad the App t the Catalg. On the App Catalg Site page, chse OK t accept the default ptin and create a new app catalg site. On the Create App Catalg Site Cllectin page, specify the title f yur App Catalg site. Specify the web site address. Specify the time zne, administratr, strage quta, and server resurce quta, and then chse OK. Step 4 - Uplad the Applicatin t the App Catalg Targeted fr - SharePint administratrs Descriptin After yu have the App installatin file and an App Catalg site, this step is perfrmed t uplad the App t the App Catalg. T uplad the Kaltura App t the App Catalg Brwse t the App Catalg site. Frm within the SharePint administratin page navigate t the App Catalg site as described in Step 3 - (Optinal) - Create an App Catalg Site (If ne des nt exist) Navigate t the SharePint Apps management. Chse Apps fr SharePint in the left task pane. Uplad the applicatin file. Click Uplad, and then chse the applicatin file yu dwnladed in Step 2 - Register the Details f the New App and cnfirm. Cnfirm the applicatin was upladed successfully. After a few secnds f prcessing, the new applicatin shuld appear in the applicatin list and the clumn Enabled shuld have the value Yes t indicate that the applicatin was accepted successfully and is nw available t site wners. 10 Tasks t Deply the Kaltura Vide Extensin fr SharePint 2013 Online Step 5 - (Optinal) Install the Full-Screen WSP Targeted fr: SharePint administratrs, site wners Descriptin: A special web-part shuld be placed within the page t enable watching media in fullscreen. This web-part is installed using a sandbxed slutin file (WSP) that is upladed t the Slutins site. T install the WSP Navigate t Site Settings by clicking n the gear icn (n the tp crner) and clicking n Site Settings. Ensure that yu are n the rt site f the Site Cllectins as slutins can nly be installed n the rt site. In the Site Settings menu click Slutins. In the Slutins Gallery, click Uplad Slutin n the tp menu (ribbn). Brwse and lcate the.wsp file Kaltura App Extras.wsp that yu dwnladed in Step 1 and click OK. Click Uplad Slutin in the Slutins Gallery t enable full-screen display in the media playback. A cnfirmatin dialg is displayed. On the dialg tp click Activate t activate the slutin. T add the app t a site Click n Site Cntents t navigate t any site that yu want t add the applicatin t. Click t install the applicatin by clicking n Kaltura Vide Slutin applicatin. A mdal windw pps up that allws yu t cnfirm that yu trust the applicatin. Click Trust it t install the app at the site. 13 Tasks t Deply the Kaltura Vide Extensin fr SharePint 2013 Online Step 7 (Optinal) Assign Permissins t Users Targeted fr: SharePint administratrs, Site wner, Site designers Descriptin: Kaltura widgets inherit their permissin frm SharePint and display the cntent accrding t the user s permissin. This step enables yu t use SharePint built-in security grups and permissins t set what the user is allwed t see and d. T assign permissins t users Add users t grups in SharePint. Similarly t any ther cntent slutin in SharePint, users must be added t site grups that have sme assciated permissin level. If yur site users are already added t the built-in SharePint grups n ther actins are required, Kaltura widgets take int accunt the SharePint user permissins and authrizes users accrdingly. By default, withut changing SharePint ut-f-the-bx permissin s settings and Kaltura Applicatin Framewrk settings, the fllwing security principles are applied: Users that are part f the [Site Name] Members grup are assigned Kaltura Cntributr cntextual rle. Users that are part f the [Site Name] Visitrs grup are assigned Kaltura Member cntextual rle. Users that are part f the [Site Name] Owners grup are assigned Kaltura Manager cntextual rle. Change the default SharePint-KAF permissin mapping. Typically, yu d nt need t change the default permissin settings t satisfy yur security requirements. Hwever, fr sme cmplex scenaris, yu may want t granularly set, fr example, which permissin (fr example, rle) in SharePint is mapped t which KAF (Kaltura Applicatin Framewrk) rle. Shuld yu want t achieve that level f cntrl, it is pssible t d s via the KAF admin cnsle, under the SharePint tab.
