If not, restart your computer and log on as Administrator. If your computer is managed by a network administrator, consult with him/her before making any modification to the system. - Turn off your anti-virus program or any other programs currently running on your system. NI-VISA is trademark of National Instrument Corporation Installing Software The screenshots used in this installation manual are of Windows Start up the computer on which the software is to be installed. 2. Download "500B11E.zip" from our website and save it on your desktop. 3. Unzip the saved file to the desktop. When unzipping, either "Extract" or "Expand" is displayed depending on the computer being used. Zipped file Right-click to select "Extract All ". 2 4. Double-click to execute "500B11E_setup.exe" in the extracted folder. The extension of ".exe" may not be displayed depending on the computer settings. 5. Preparing for installation (Windows 7) A message about "User Account Control" appears. Click "Yes". The message may not be displayed depending on the computer settings. 6. 4 The program "SK-500B for Windows" uses "NI-VISA TM " of National Instruments. To use "SK-500B for Windows", it is necessary to agree to the above license terms of National Instruments and IVI Foundation. If "NI-VISA TM" has already been installed, it will not be overwritten. 6 Installation of "SK-500B for Windows" is complete. The screen requesting restarting will not appear if "NI-VISA TM" is not installed; in this case, you do not have to restart your computer. 11. Starting up "SK-500B for Windows" Upon completion of installation, the shortcuts to "SK-500B for Windows" are created on the start menu and desktop.
