1 KG-TOWER Software Download and Installation Instructions Procedures are provided for three options to download and install KG-TOWER software version 5.1. Download to a temporary folder and install immediately. Copy the software to a location of your choice on your computer and install immediately. Copy the software to a location of your choice on your computer and install at a later time. System Requirements Operating Systems Windows XP with Service Pack 3 (SP3) or higher Windows 7 with Service Pack 1 (SP1) or higher Supported Architectures 32-Bit System (x86) 64-Bit System (x64).net Framework 4 If you have either of the above named operating systems and service packs,.net Framework may already be installed on your system. If you have an earlier service pack for either of the operating systems, you may need to download and install.net Framework 4 from Microsoft. Selecting the link will open the Microsoft Web page to obtain the.net Framework 4. NOTE: You must also be running Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.01 or higher and have Windows Installer 3.1 for installation of the.net Framework. HTML Help You must be running Microsoft Internet Explorer 6 SP1 or higher to navigate and view the HTML Help files. Microsoft Internet Explorer 8 is recommended. Administrator rights You must have rights or access to install software on your computer.

2 Remove all previous versions of KG-TOWER software from your workstation before installing KG-TOWER software v 5.1 NOTE: KG-TOWER software v 5.1 will open files created by all previous versions. 1. Navigate to the Control Panel. Windows XP, select Start >> Settings >> Control Panel. Windows 7, select Start >> Control Panel. 2. Choose option to remove programs: Windows XP, select Add or Remove Programs. Windows 7, select Programs and Features. 3. Select KG-TOWER Software [version #] from the list of programs. 4. Select Remove (XP) or Uninstall (7) to display a dialog box to confirm that you want to uninstall KG-TOWER software. 5. Select Yes. A dialog box displays to show the progress. Depending on the security settings for your computer, you may receive a message to confirm you want to make changes to your computer. Select Yes. The Add or Remove Programs (XP) or Uninstall or change a program (7) window displays after the software is removed. 6. Repeat steps 3 through 5 to remove all versions of KG-TOWER software. 7. Close the Add or Remove Programs (XP) or Control Panel - Uninstall or change a program (7) window. 8. Close Control Panel (XP) window. 9. Proceed with download and installation of KG-TOWER software v 5.1.

3 Download KG-TOWER software to a temporary folder and install immediately 1. In the KG-TOWER Software Download Link , select click here to start the download process. The KG-TOWER_5.1_Installation.msi file is 29.3 MB. 2. Depending on your browser security settings, you may receive a message in the browser that the site is blocked from downloading files to your computer. In Internet Explorer, select Click here for options... to display a dropdown menu with the option to Download File... Select Download File. 3. When the File Download - Security Warning window displays "Do you want to run or save this file?", select Run to continue the download process. 4. Depending on the security settings for your computer, a Security Warning dialog box may display, "The publisher could not be verified. Are you sure you want to run this software?" Select Run to start the Installation Wizard. The installation wizard displays: "Welcome to the KG-TOWER Software v 5.1 Installation Wizard" and a recommendation to close all Windows software programs. - Do not close the browser. - Do not cancel the Installation Wizard. - Close all Windows software programs. 5. Select Next to continue the installation. 6. In the User Information window: Type name and organization. Select an option to either allow all users (or only you) to be able to run the program on the computer where it is being installed. 7. Select Next to display the Ready to Install the Application window. Options in this window include: Select Back to re-enter information. Select Next to proceed with the installation. Select Cancel to exit the installation wizard. 8. Select Next to start the installation of the files. Depending on the security settings for your computer, a User Account Control dialog box may display "Do you want to allow the following program from an unknown publisher to make changes to this computer?" Select YES to proceed with the installation. The Updating System window displays to show the progress of the installation. When the necessary files have been installed, "KG-TOWER Software v 5.1 has been successfully installed" displays. 9. Select Finish to exit the installation. 4 Save a copy of KG-TOWER software to your computer and install immediately 1. In the KG-TOWER Software Download Link , select click here to start the download process. The KG-TOWER_5.1_Installation.msi file is 29.3 MB. 2. Depending on your browser security settings, you may receive a message in the browser that the site is blocked from downloading files to your computer. Double-click the KG-TOWER_5.1_Installation.msi file to start the installation process. 9. From the Windows Taskbar, select Start >> Run >> Browse. 3. Navigate to the folder where the software is saved. 4. If needed, in Files of type, select All Files to display the name of the file: KG-TOWER_5.1_Installation.msi. 5. Double-click the file name to place the file name in the Run dialog box. 6. In the Run dialog box, select OK to launch the Installation Wizard. 7. Depending on the security settings for your computer, a Security Warning dialog box may display, "The publisher could not be verified. Are you sure you want to run this software?" Select Run to start the Installation Wizard.
