When upgrading from Versions of Proficy* Machine Edition older than 9.0 your PME window settings and system options may be reset. Ribbon Bar Optimizations The ribbon bar has been tweaked to simplify access for some common capabilities. New commands have been added to the quick launch menu (Save&Backup, Close with Save, Close without Save, Launch Help); "Utilities" and "Info Viewer" commands have been separated. 6 Important Product Information Page 6 of 16 System Options Reset The ability to reset all the system option to their defaults has been added to the right click menu of the options navigator. Info Viewer Technology Update The Info Viewer has been updated to a newer technology! While the ability to navigate is not new, this update will allow users to navigate to most Predix* dashboards or external websites within the Info Viewer without tossing endless script errors. Note: The page must support IE11 to be shown properly! Variable Filter Configuration Dialog Updates The ability to filter by target and publish state has been added to the Variable Filter Configuration dialog. Materials List Generator The Materials List Generator is a feature that will take the Hardware Configuration of a PLC Project and either export it to a CSV or display a report in the info viewer, the report is split into Module name, Count and Obsolete. Modules are only marked as obsolete if they exist in the catalog known to Machine Edition, if you know of a module that is obsolete and it does not appear in this list you can contact support to have it appended. Note: This was also shipped in PME 8.60 SIM 9 and 9.00 SIM 1 CPE330 Embedded Profinet Support for embedded Profinet on the CPE330 has been added.

7 Important Product Information Page 7 of 16 Note: This was also shipped in PME 8.60 SIM 2 and PME 9.00 SIM 3 CPE400 Support for the CPE400 controller has been added Note: This was also shipped in PME 9.00 SIM 8 Ability to Create a PLC Project Based on an IP Address Creating a new project based on an IP address is useful when you can no longer locate your original offline project that is running in the controller. To create a new project based on an IP address manually the process is: 1. Create a project. 2. Make sure the controller type is correct. 3. Attach to the controller. 4. Upload into the project. 5. Disconnect. A new template automates these steps with any failures in the automation leaving the project open in the state it failed (Invalid IP, not a controller, blank controller, unplanned disconnect, etc.) Controller Status Download Details The controller status dialog will now show the windows user and machine that last downloaded the project to the controller. Constants in Structured Text The ability to define constants in ST has been added, these constants do not appear in the tag navigator.

String Support for Function Blocks Added support for strings as parameters of function blocks. Enhanced Security for UDT s and Locked Blocks UDT s can now be locked like UDFB s, and the export for locked blocks and UDT s has been changed from clear text to encrypted. PPS Function Block Usage Simplification The PPS Function Blocks can now be imported on an as needed basis into a project. Command Line Capabilities options /cfg="config_file.xml" /ip="nnn.nnn.nnn.nnn" /out="output_file" /silent Commands /get /setclk /help When running from a command line the PACsAnalyzer can use a configuration file for multiple "controllers" to perform batch diagnostics. To retrieve a sample of the format of a configuration file run PACsAnalyzer manually, setup up the options you are interested in and then view the file "\Public\Documents\GE Intelligent Platforms\PacsAnalyzer\PACSetup.xml" Note: This utility is also available as a standalone download from the support site. Update Notification Utility refreshed The update notification utility has been upgraded to work with the new support site and the catalogs are now stored in the Predix* cloud. ToolboxST Trender The Trender utility used with Mark VIe controllers is now installed by PME and can be used to interact with OPCUA and EGD tags coming from a PAC controller. When installed via Machine Edition the trender:

For example, Right-Click on Trender.exe and select the run as administrator option. will only work with unsecured OPCUA servers. For more information on how to use the Trender, refer to the SFDC Article GEI View/ LDPC HTML Dashboard Page Support QuickPanel + shall host a HTML Dashboard page, that can be viewed in a HTML5 enabled browser from a remote PC or mobile devices. Note: This was also shipped in PME 9.00 SIM 2. SNMP Traps and live value communication QuickPanel + acts as an SNMP Agent to support HMI Alarms as SNMP Traps and SNMP live value queries for HMI variables. Note: This was also shipped in PME 8.60 SIM 9 and PME 9.00 SIM 2. Change Management Enhancement to support RSLogix 5000/Studio 5000 Logix Designer up to version 27 The RSLogix 5000 module in Proficy Change Management Thick Client has been updated to be able to handle RSLogix 5000/Studio 5000 Logix Designer *.ACD files up to version 27. Known Issues DCP Tool May Lock up (DE3365) If an identify pattern is initiated and then the device is turned off at the exact time it is communicating the DCP tool may lock up and cannot be closed. On the wire, it is stuck doing ARP requests. If the device returns you can stop the identification and close it, but otherwise, you need to kill the process. Indirect Reference incorrectly reporting as used addresses ( /DE3864) An indirect reference when used in logic with a length treats the register address used as if it were using the direct reference. For example, H_WIRE; MOVE_INT 6 displays the address used as %R1 to %R6. N4DCPx64.sys not signed Error on Unpatched WIN7 (DE3856) If your Win7SP1 is not up to date you may get a driver signing error during the installation. If this occurs it is recommended to apply OS patches and re-install

SIM 1 New Features ICEPSCPE100 Added support for the PACSystems RSTI EP Standalone Controller. Default HWC Compression Level set to High The default HWC compression level is now set at high for new PACSystems Targets. Note: This only applies to new targets created with the add target command, it does not apply to projects created from templates. GSDML Updates GSDML-V2.3-GEIP-RX3iPNS PROFINET GSDML Schema Support Added the ability to import PROFINET GSDML's created with schema v2.32 & v2.33 Change management Parameters View of Function Blocks Enabled the ability to view the parameters of a PACSystems function block when the project is not checked out. SIM 2 New Features Embedded SNTP Client The CPU s (CPE305, CPE310, CPE330, CPE400) Embedded Ethernet interface may be configured as a Simple Network Time Protocol (SNTP) client which allows synchronization of the high-resolution Time of Day Clock to an SNTP network time server. This capability provides a consistent time across multiple systems so that all produced EGD exchanges use the CPU s Time of Day Clock for the time stamp.

Internet Explorer v10.0 and v11.0 Support Internet Explorer v10.0 and v11.0 have been added to the list of supported Internet Explorer versions for Proficy* Change Management. Unity Pro XL Support The Unity Pro XL module has been added to support Unity Pro XL projects (version 11.0 or greater) on PCM Thick Client. Note: Some operations of this type of projects may also require installation of Unity Pro XL (version 11.0 or greater) and Unity DIF (version 8.0 or greater) on PCM Thick Client. SIM 4 New Features Media Redundancy for CPE100 MRP has been enabled for the CPE100. SIM 5 New Features RX3i Redundancy CPU support for Hot Standby Redundancy (CPE400) The CPE400 may be used as a RX3i Redundancy CPU for Hot Standby Redundancy with PROFINET IO. Note: CPE400 Firmware version 9.30 or higher is required for redundancy support. Note: Every PME installation that need to open the project must be brought up to SIM level 5 or greater when redundancy is enabled for a target.

Support for new controllers Added support for CPE115 and CPR302 CPUs. SIM 8 New Features Support for new hardware Power usage of the new IC695PNC001-Bxxx PROFINET controller may now be tracked using the new configuration option. SIM 9 New Features Change Management Enhancement of Destroy Confirmation From now on the Destroy dialog requires to type yes in the edit box to confirm for destroying the selected project(s) or folder of projects from the PCM server or local computer. Support for new controller features Added support for configuration of OPC UA Server and Serial Modbus RTU Server in the CPE100 and CPE115 controllers. Support for control modules Control Modules are now available without requiring a PPS license.

14 Important Product Information Page 14 of 16 SIM 10 New Features General Toolchest Sorting Added support for sorting entries in the Toolchest by either name or version. When sorting by version, the version string shown for the item s preview is used. If no version string is available, it defaults to the legacy sorting method. The sorting method can be set through the Options tab of the Navigator, or by right-clicking in the Toolchest. Change Management Enhancement of Access Control Permissions Added 3 new Change Management permissions, i.e. 'Destroy Non-Server Projects', 'Add Server Projects', and 'Destroy Server Projects'. Support for VFD Studio Added ability to launch VFD Studio application from Utilities ribbon bar. Support for new hardware Added support for CPL410. Proficy Process Systems Steam Tables Added 64-bit steam table C blocks. SIM 11 New Features View/LDPC Proficy View Integrated OPC Server version 5.21 View OPC Drivers are not supported in QuickPanel View/Control models from View OPC Drivers version 5.21 and PME 9.50 SIM 11 onwards. ODBC driver, SquareD are not supported on Windows PC target and Yokogawa Suite are not supported on Windows PC and QP+ targets from View OPC Drivers version V5.21. The following steps have to be followed if user wants to uninstall PME 9.50 SIM 11 and install SIM lower than PME 9.50 SIM 11. Unintall PME Uninstall "Proficy View Integrated OPC Driver V 5.21".

15 Important Product Information Page 15 of 16 Install PME 9.50 to make sure compatible View OPC drivers ("Proficy View Integrated OPC Driver V5.12") are installed. Install required SIM. The PC/Virtual machine should be updated with latest windows updates where installing PME 9.50 SIM 11. SIM 12 New Features General User Options Import and Export Added support for importing and exporting user options in PME. Two menu options were added to the Options tab s right-click menu to export and import. User options can also be imported from windows command prompt. Export: In the Options tab of the Navigator, right-click in the empty space of the tab and choose Export Options. In the Export Options dialog box, you can change the location (Save In) or the file name (Save As). The exported file will have an UPO extension. Click Save. The user options are exported to the specified file in the specified location. The Feedback Zone displays the status of the export. Import: In the Options tab of the Navigator, right-click in the empty space of the tab and choose Import Options. Select the desired User Options file and click Open. Close and reopen Machine Edition to complete the import. The Feedback Zone displays the status. Import from Command Line: In Windows, open a Command Prompt window. In the Command Prompt window, enter the following command on one line: "install folder\common\ide\frameworx.exe" /options= "Import file path A restart of Machine Edition is not required if the options are imported from the command prompt.
