1 INTRODUCTION Version 10 Release Notes These release notes describe the features and limitations for the icompel software version 10. We recommend that you read the icompel Users Guide for an introduction to using the icompel. Note: The following icompel models are not supported by V10. Please continue to use V9 software on these appliances. AC400x Series ICOMP0x Series ICOMP Models Some SandyBridge based appliances may not initially support V10 but will eventually NEW IN V The icompel must be running V before updating to V Use NTB-update10004-V opf to update from V New features: Support HD capture. 2 TRANSLATION STATUS The icompel Web User Interface is fully supported in English. Translations are available in other languages as detailed below. Note: The Help and User Guide pages are only supplied in English. The following languages have partially translated in this release. American English Brazilian French German Italian Japanese Korean Portuguese Russian Simplified Chinese Spanish Thai Traditional Chinese Turkish KNOWN LIMITATIONS Layout packages containing UHD (3840x2160) layouts can be imported, but cannot be edited on HD models. The About box does not currently show the model as ordered. This will be updated in a future release. Interlaced content may show a flickering half line at the top and bottom of the movie zone. The workaround is to overscan the movie using the "Movie Size" property of the movie item. If the icompel starts up with the HDMI or DisplayPort Audio selected but no screen connected the audio will fall back to using the analog output. No warning is given in the UI that this has happened. Connect the configured screen to the icompel and reboot to fix. The icompel display may be distorted or damaged after using the Ctrl-Alt-F2 emergency maintenance system (only for use under the guidance of the Black Box support team). A reboot will restore proper operation. There is a limit to the total amount of text that can be drawn by a single text item. The Web UI has some minor display issues under Windows Internet Explorer 6 (Apple Safari, Mozilla Firefox, Windows Internet Explorer 7 or later do not have these issues). The Web UI has some display issues under Windows Internet Explorer 7 when using

3 When using the Windows 8 Modern UI version of Internet Explorer 10 (not the desktop version), you may be repeatedly presented with prompts to enter a username and password. This is an Internet Explorer bug; the workaround is to append a "?" to the end of the URL. When uploading files using Apple Safari it is not possible to show a progress bar. When booting the P Series on DVI or HDMI there will be a period of a few seconds before the splash screen is seen. The home page may shows Screen off after a reboot even though it is on. Reloading the page will show the current state of the icompel. The Web UI has some display issues in Google Chrome. When editing Rich Text the Bold button may turn off when deleting text to the start of a line. As soon as new text is typed it will be in bold and the Bold button will have turned back on. This has only been seen in Google Chrome or Microsoft Internet Explorer. 3G modems do not work if the APN is not set.
