3 1 Introduction These Release Notes provide an overview of Team Developer 6.3 SP2, including new features, delivery information, and supported platforms. OpenText recommends that you read these Release Notes in conjunction with the documentation included with the software package. If any conflicts exist, the Release Notes supersede the other documentation. All new content. 2 About Team Developer This section provides an overview of Team Developer 6.3 SP2. This Service Pack 2 (SP2) of Team Developer 6.3 introduces a number of fixes for customer that have software warranty (GLS). 2.1 New features Team Developer 6.3 SP2 includes the following new features. TD Improve appearance of PNG disabled buttons for better enabled PNG buttons differentiation TD New Grid Column Flag constant to be able to programmatically interact with the grid context menu TD Improve SalWindowWriteDockState() in case of I/O error TD Improve SalReportPrintToFile() in case of I/O error 3

For a full installation of Team Developer 6.3 have your PMC installation code at hand. 8

9 5.2 Upgrade notes efore you upgrade, review these instructions. When upgrading from older Team Developer versions it is strongly recommended that you save all existing source code in text format. 6 Patches A patch is a piece of software that is designed to fix or improve a computer program or its supporting data. These may include repairs to security vulnerabilities or resolution of bugs, and may also improve usability or performance. On the OpenText Knowledge Center you will find two general types of patches. Hotfixes are also known as quick-fixes or bug fixes. Updates are also known as service packs or service releases. The following patches must be applied to Team Developer 6.3 SP2. OpenText recommends that you check the OpenText Knowledge Center ( for any patches or documentation updates that may have been posted after this release. 6.1 Hotfixes Hotfixes are small patches that address software issues. Typically, there is no new functionality in a hotfix. Hotfixes can be cumulative. Hotfix installation Available hotfixes No hotfixes available for this release. Updates Updates consist of a number of fixes combined into a single patch. Typically, the minor version number of the product will increase, for example from 2.0 to 2.1. An update may also include new features proactively introduced into the product. In most cases, updates are cumulative. About Team Developer 6.3 SP2 efore installing the update, ensure that you have met the following prerequisites: You can do a full install of Team Developer 6.3 SP2 or you can patch your existing Team Developer 9

10 6.3 installation. The update installer will automatically detect existing Team Developer 6.3 installations and will update them.
