1 Business Objects XI R2 SP4 Some of the issues resolved by this Service Pack require the creation of new registry keys/subkeys or the editing of registry key/subkey values. In most cases where these registry keys/subkeys need to be created, the Service Pack install will create the key/subkey and set the default value. Please refer to the readme information for each specific issue for the default and recognized values. 2 Business Objects XI R2 SP4 DEFECT ADAPT When exporting a report that has two or more groups, the group headers may appear out of order when the report is exported to Paginated Text format. This problem happens only when the page breaks exactly on the first group header. ADAPT Text in the "Summary Info" field for a Crystal report is truncated when it is published to the Central Management Console (CMC). ADAPT In Crystal Reports, subreports fail to print, and then an error message from CRW32.exe appears and Crystal Reports terminates unexpectedly. ADAPT The order of objects in the Query Panel is different from the order shown in the resulting Web Intelligence report. ADAPT The display mode of an Interactive Metric Trend analytic changes from flash mode to SVG mode after the analytic is edited. Page 2 of 130

3 The issue has been resolved. ADAPT In Web Intelligence, if users change the background color of an alerter, the text no longer wraps. ADAPT In.NET InfoView, when a user who owns an instance clicks the View Latest Instance option, the following error message appears: Unable to retrieve Object. Item 1 was not found in the collection. This problem happens when another user has viewed the latest instance of the document since the owner last viewed it. ADAPT When users click the Alerts option in InfoView to open a report that uses an alert, the report fails to open. ADAPT When the regional settings for an operating system is set to a language that is not supported by Performance Management and the interface locale in Business Objects Preferences is set to "Use browser locale", the Preferences, Logout, and Help icons fail to be displayed in InfoView. ADAPT Page 3 of 130

4 User Defined Objects on Oracle DB with aggregate functions (like Count, Max, Min) return incompatible type (UNM0014) The problem is solved now. ADAPT Capital letters with accents are displayed incorrectly in Desktop Intelligence documents. The accents that are affected by this problem are mapped to the following key combinations in Windows Charmap: Alt+0220, Alt+0196, Alt+0214, and Alt ADAPT Connections to the following types of third-party databases may fail to work: ODBC connections to DatAllegro, and the Intel Pro/Wireless 2200BG WLAN interface (driver versions or ) of an IBM/Lenovo Thinkpad T43p notebook with Thinkvantage Access Connection Software. The cause of the problem is that, the BusinessObjects Enterprise Xl Release 2 installation program overwrites the Libeay32.dll file that belongs to the third-party software in the System 32 folder. To solve the problem, the installation program installs a new file named libbobjeay32.dll to the system32 directory and does not overwrite the original libeay32.dll file. ADAPT The WebIntelligence document file transferred from the Desktop Intelligence document file cannot find its universe after the same universe has been re-exported. This has been fixed now. ADAPT In BusinessObjects Enterprise Xl Release 2, Desktop Intelligence reports that are converted to Web Intelligence reports and viewed in InfoView will lose the color that has been applied to the "Alternate Row" option. 5 Users must take the following steps to change the color of alternate rows for Desktop Intelligence Report that are converted to Web Intelligence: 1) Open the converted report in InfoView. 2) Set the column color of the table to "Default." 3) Apply an alternate color of choice to the table ADAPT The Parameter list of a Crystal Explorer report that is based on a Web service business view appears in random order when compared to the order of the list in the XML file. ADAPT In the Report Conversion Tool, when errors happen, the error message that appears may not suitably describe the problems. For example, if detail variables have not been given an associated dimension, the following error message appears: "Not converted - Report_name - OLE objects cannot be inserted into Web Intelligence documents." ADAPT Performance Management analytics fail to be displayed in correct order on the SharePoint Portal Site. The cause of the problem is that the redirect URL fails to be passed. ADAPT In a Web Intelligence report, long column names that span two pages are truncated on the second page when the report is viewed in InfoView. Page 5 of 130

6 This problem is resolved ADAPT Measures and dimensions in a Web Intelligence report fail to display properly when the report is generated from a universe that has more than 300 columns. The cause of the problem is that only 255 columns can be displayed in the report. Also, if the last column in the report is deleted, the next column becomes visible. ADAPT When creating a new analytic in the Russian language version of BusinessObjects Enterprise Xl Release 2 Enterprise Performance Management (EPM), the page for the analytic fails to display and an HTTP 500 error message appears. This problem is resolved ADAPT In Desktop Intelligence, the error "DA0005" appears when users create a report with objects that have the following definitions: count(*) and count(*) over (partition by '1'). This problem happens on systems that use a DB2 database. ADAPT In multiple-tab Web Intelligence documents, the values that are set in the Drill filter are saved only on the tab that is open when the report is saved. Values that are set on the Drill filter on other tabs are discarded and replaced with default values. Page 6 of 130

7 ADAPT LiveOffice data within a Crystal Xcelsius application cannot be refreshed in InfoView. The cause of the problem is that Crystal Xcelsius consumes an additional Concurrent Access License (CAL). When all the CALs have been consumed by InfoView logons, the refresh operation is deactivated. ADAPT In Desktop Intelligence in three-tier mode, when users run a query to an IBM Red Brick data source, the ConnectionServer function creates two sessions to the Red Brick database, and one session remains active long after the query is completed. ADAPT Unable to average the results of the IsNull function (Boolean) in Web Intelligence, you will receive a #error in the calculated cell. Web Intelligence error messages are changed in Interactive mode and the availability of Average/Sum/Percentage in Java Report Panel is denied when using these functions on a formula/object containing a Boolean. This has been done in order to have the same behavior as in Desktop Intelligence. ADAPT Reports that are saved to Excel format from BusinessObjects Enterprise Xl Release 2 may lose some of their original formatting. This problem does not happen in reports that are saved to Excel format from BusinessObjects ADAPT Page 7 of 130

8 In Web Intelligence, when users edit a report that contains multiple report tabs, the final report tab fails to be displayed. ADAPT When reports that are wider than the default report width are viewed or saved as PDF, the page zoom changes and the report becomes distorted and unreadable. ADAPT When a running total object with an evaluate formula is duplicated in Crystal Reports Designer, the formula for one of the objects cannot be edited independently of the other object. ADAPT If a Desktop Intelligence report is scheduled to run in plain text format and its Destination folder is set to the default BusinessObjects Enterprise location, the character formatting in the report is incorrect. Known Limitations: ADAPT Scheduling a report from Desktop Intelligence fails when the "Add file extension" option is used. The cause of the problem is that the "Add file extension" option adds an incorrect extension placeholder: a dot followed by "%SI_EXT%". Page 8 of 130

9 ADAPT In Desktop Intelligence, the min() function calculates incorrectly when it is placed in the table header. ADAPT When a Desktop Intelligence job fails, no attempt to rerun the report will be executed even if the option Number of retries allowed in the Central Management Console (CMC) has been given a value greater than zero. ADAPT Reports that use four or more tabs may consume an excessive amount of memory. The AddComplexFilter method causes the process busobj.exe to use more memory than necessary. ADAPT The Universe Designer Guide refers to the "Locked Resources" feature but fails to add that this feature is not supported in BusinessObjects Enterprise Xl Release 2. The referrence to the "Locked Resources" feature appears on page 47 of the PDF for the Universe Designer Guide. The Release Notes for Service Pack 4 includes a correction as follows: "The locked Resources" feature mentioned on page 47 of the Universe Designer Guide is not supported in R2." ADAPT Page 9 of 130

10 After 10 mn, it fails to save Web Intelligence document you are creating from Java Report Panel even when session active. Issue is resolved ADAPT When the method webi.getviewingservergroupchoice () is called for a Web Intelligence report, the following error message appears: BO internal error." The cause of the problem is that, when a Web Intelligence report is created, the SI_MACHINECHOICE property fails to be populated with the default numerical value of the viewing server, which is 0. ADAPT SQL Server Trusted Authentication fails to work in Designer on an environment that uses an OLE DB connection. ADAPT Object Repository Helper (ORH) stops refreshing reports once it encounters a report whose repository objects have been deleted. The cause of the problem is that ORH is unable to refresh reports whose repository objects have been deleted. To solve this problem, when ORH finds a report whose repository objects have been deleted, ORH continues refreshing the remaing reports, and then it displays a list of the reports that it has successfully and unsuccessfully refreshed. ADAPT A Javascript error message ("Access is Denied") appears when Java InfoView is embedded in an HTML frame and displayed in Internet Explorer. Page 10 of 130

11 ADAPT In Web Intelligence, a customized List of Values (LOV) is no longer accessible for reports that have been migrated from BusinessObjects 5.x to BusinessObjects Enterprise Xl Release 2. ADAPT Universe subclasses are shown in the first level within the Web Intelligence query report panel when reporting certain large universes. Sub classes are no longer shown on first level but on the level specified. ADAPT Self-join conditions that are used in query may fail or may reduce performance. The cause of the problem is that self-join conditions were generated within the WHERE clause of the query by default. To solve the problem, previous changes made in response to another issue (ADAPT641525) have been reversed: instead of generating self-joins in the WHERE clause, by default self-joins will be generated in the FROM clause. However, users have the option to generate self-joins in the WHERE clause by using this new parameter: "SELFJOINS_IN_WHERE=yes. ADAPT For a Web Intelligence crosstab report with sort and ranking applied, the sort properties are lost if any other property (e.g title) is modified. For a Web Intelligence crosstab report with sort and ranking applied, the sort properties are retained if any other property is modified. Page 11 of 130

12 ADAPT The Crystal Reports Preview window in a.net Webform viewer fails to show an accurate representation of the report. This problem happens when the report has a text object that contains double-byte (Chinese) characters and has the feature "Can Grow" disabled. ADAPT When scheduling a Crystal Report to Comma Separated Value (CSV) format in InfoView, on the Schedule page the values in the Group Options list are displayed incorrectly as follows: Export - Do Not Export Isolate Group Sections The Group Options list should be displayed like this: Export - Isolate Group Sections Do Not Export ADAPT When a formula that is defined by a variable is broken into different lines, an error message appears when users parse the formula. This problem happens only in Windows.NET InfoView. ADAPT A query may also display the results of another query if both queries are created in the same universe, use the same objects, and its counterpart contains NULL values. Page 12 of 130

13 ADAPT When linking multiple universes and creating a Web Intelligence report we can't seem to control the class and object order in the child universe. Issue is fixed. Order of classes and objects are as per order in Designer. ADAPT When using <If Then>, <Round> and <Where> local variables in Web Intelligence after applying Service Pack 2 results in the display of incorrect values. Issue has been resolved. ADAPT Web Intelligence returns no results from CHAR(1) and VARCHAR(1) columns in a DB2 database that has code page 819 when the BusinessObjects Enterprise server's code page is ADAPT The Chinese characters are not displayed correctly in the Map analytic. The issue has been resolved. ADAPT In Web Intelligence, data in fields that are concatenated may be truncated even if each field uses the data type varchar max. Page 13 of 130

14 ADAPT Incorrect object IDs appear in List of Values (LOV) when two universes are used in one Desktop Intelligence report, and the queries are restricted through the same object name in a prompt. ADAPT Users are unable to assign a document to a category without having the "Edit Objects" right to the document. ADAPT The descriptions for cascading prompts in Crystal Reports fail to be displayed correctly if a field name in the description is repeated in another tier in the prompt. ADAPT Scheduled Events fail to work in the Traditional Chinese.NET version of BusinessObjects Enterprise Xl Release 2. This problem happens only when Service Pack 2 is installed on the Traditional Chinese.NET version of BusinessObjects Enterprise Xl Release 2. ADAPT Users are incorrectly notified that their password has expired and are prompted to change it. This problem happens only when using Trusted Authentication and Java Single Sign-On. 15 ADAPT Universe Designer terminates unexpectedly when exporting or saving a universe that is based on a Microsoft OLAP 2000 cube. ADAPT In Desktop Intelligence reports, when the Query Builder is used to query information from the data provider, the information returned is incorrect. ADAPT The error message "Unspecified Error" appears when a user clicks Ok on the Advanced tab of the Summary dialog box. This problem happens when a report is exported from Crystal Reports to Excel. ADAPT When function points to a custom cascading List of Values (LOV) and the union that is set to "ALL", function fails to work in Web Intelligence. ADAPT When various connections are used with various logon parameters to more than one database and Universe, the following error message appears after the report is refreshed twice: Connection or SQL Sentence error: (DA0005). 16 ADAPT If users have been granted the rights "Add Objects" and "View objects the user owns", they are unable to create a new secured connection in Designer and view objects they own. By design, users will only be able to view objects they own. ADAPT Migrating Web Intelligence reports from BusinessObjects 6.5.x to XI R2 SP2 and the positioning of tables and sections is changed and is quite inaccurate compared to the original positioning. Problem is resolved ADAPT In Web Intelligence, an "out of memory" error message appears when users edit or save a complex report. This problem is caused by errors in how the Web Intelligence Java Report Panel manages memory. The problem can also happen when the value for the Java Virtual Memory (JVM) memory size is too small. ADAPT When regional settings are set to Spanish for a Desktop Intelligence report, and the report contains a variable such as var1=<sales Revenue>*0,012, the value for the variable is rounded down to zero when the report is migrated to Web Intelligence. 17 ADAPT Users are able to access the "System setup" and Repository pages when they have been denied the "System setup repository and System User tabs" right. ADAPT While installing BusinessObjects Enterprise Xl Release 2 client tools on a machine running Microsoft Vista, error messages appear. ADAPT In BusinessObjects Xl Enterprise Release 2 Infoview, when Simplified Chinese characters are used in the name of a class or object in Designer, an error message appears when a report is exported to the PDF viewer. In addition, when the user language is set to Chinese, many Chinese characters are missing from the exported PDF, and parts of the PDF are missing. Known Limitations: The Tahoma font does not support the use of Chinese characters in PDF format. To display Chinese characters in a sans serif font for delivery to PDF format, install the font Arial Unicode MS, which will be used as the default font. If Arial Unicode MS is not installed, Tahoma will be used by default and the characters will fail to be displayed. ADAPT In Visual Studio.NET, when opening a report that is grouped on a datetime field that has a summary on a number field, an error message appears. This problem happens when the the option Show as a percentage of option is selected for the number field. Page 17 of 130

18 ADAPT Web Intelligence reports with prompts that are set to use default values may fail if they are scheduled directly without previewing them first. ADAPT The names for "Key" and "Medium name" for objects that are used for SAP connections in Universe Designer appear in English even when the locale is set to a non-english language. To solve the problem, the names appear in the language that is specified on the connection. ADAPT After enabling the property "Repeat on every new page" for a table, the table displays once on the first page of the report but fails to be repeated on other pages. ADAPT The Import wizard fails to work when a universe is in the BIAR file being imported. The following error message appears: "--universe not exported. failed.reason:unable to set property value." Error : Committing the export object to the destination CMS The problem happens when the repository has files whose names are similar to their file extensions. ADAPT Page 18 of 130

19 Crystal Reports terminates unexpectedly when a report is exported to Excel. This problem happens when the report uses an HTML-formatted field that has HTML tags but no value in the body and header sections. ADAPT A null error message appears ("Error: INF") after a predefined condition object is removed from the HTML Query Panel or the HTML Report Panel. ADAPT When the font Calibri is used in a Crystal report, and the report is exported to PDF, words and letters overlap in the PDF. Calibri is a font that is available with Microsoft Vista. ADAPT Crystal reports that are based on a stored procedure may freeze in the DHTML viewer. This problem happens when invalid input parameters are specified. This also causes a load problem because the SQL Server database receives continuous requests from the viewers. An error message is now displayed that says the report has failed. ADAPT When multiple Desktop Intelligence reports are refreshed in sequence from the Web Service Report Engine, an universe error message appears. Page 19 of 130

20 ADAPT A Visual Studio.NET application using ADO.NET displays an error message when shadowcopy is used in the application. The error message is as follows: "Unknown Query Engine Error. Error in File (path to temp report file.rpt)." ADAPT The options for setting up silent installations with expanded servers over a Secure Socket Layer (SSL) are not available. This problem happens when using the installation program from the BusinessObjects Enterprise Xl Release 2 installation CD. To solve the problem, the following options have been added for silent installations with the requirement that a Central Management Server (CMS) with SSL has a verified password: install.sh <installation_parameters> -CMSUSERNAME <Administrator> -CMSPASSWORD <mynewpassword> -CMSPROTOCOL <ssl> -SSL_CERTDIR </ssldir> -SSL_SERVERCERTIFCATE <server.der> -SSL_TRUSTEDCERTIFICATE <cacert.der> -SSL_SERVERKEY <server.key> SSL_PASSPHRASE <passphrase.txt> ADAPT The font size for numeric fields may change unexpectedly in a Desktop Intelligence report that is saved to Excel format. ADAPT Blank and null values in dimension codes cause slice values to be wrong in a metric. When the metric is refreshed, blank and null dimension code values are ignored. Page 20 of 130

21 ADAPT While editing a Web Intelligence report in Java Reporting Panel to duplicate a report, the Web Intelligence report server crashes. This happens for a certain report with certain value of top margin for a section. The Web Intelligence server doesn't crash while editing a Web Intelligence report in Java Reporting Panel to duplicate a report. ADAPT When viewing a Voyager workspace that has been sent to a user's Inbox, the user receives a workspace that contains no measures or data. ADAPT When adding objects to a Web Intelligence report, the SORTING feature fails to work for some of the columns. ADAPT In Web Intelligence, the error message that appears in the Edit Query panel on a Traditional Chinese environment is in Simple Chinese. This problem happens in the error message that is displayed to advise users when, in the Variable Editor, they ve misspelled the name of a country. ADAPT When a Desktop Intelligence document contains a function POS, and accented characters are used in the function, the correct result fails to be displayed when users view it from InfoView. 22 ADAPT Data is being removed at random from Excel documents after a Pivot table range is changed and refreshed on machines that have Live Office installed. This problem does not happen when Live Office is not installed. ADAPT When a restricted user is logged on to view a Desktop Intelligence document, prompt windows may be slow to open. ADAPT When a user reschedules a Desktop Intelligence report from InfoView, a database refresh happens if the user clicks the plus sign (+) to expand a list of prompts. ADAPT Trend lines and data access lines in a migrated BusinessObjects Enterprise Xl report are wider in BusinessObjects Enterprise Xl Release 2. ADAPT Page 22 of 130

23 The function ColumnNumber() may return incorrect values when used in the body of a crosstab report. This occurs when Desktop Intelligence reports are viewed in InfoView with the option "Page mode". ADAPT When printing a report from the ActiveX Crystal Reports viewer, the default printer is called instead of the printer specified in the SelectPrinter method in the Report Designer Component Designer (CRAXDDRT.DLL). ADAPT When a report is sent to the print queue, the word "Document" appears in the print queue instead of the following: "Crystal Reports - <title or filename>". This problem happens when the PrintToPrinter() method is used or when users click the Print button in the Crystal Report Viewer. ADAPT When a report is viewed or exported to PDF, the data label of the X axis in a bar chart is displayed below the X axis line, regardless of where the label is placed when the report is designed. ADAPT When the language locale for InfoView is set to French, operators for the Query HTML and the Java Report Panel fail to be localized to French. Page 23 of 130

24 Known Limitations: This problem is not yet resolved for the HTML Report Panel. ADAPT The Report window in Internet Explorer freezes when users open a Web Intelligence report with the option "Refresh on open" enabled. ADAPT In Web Intelligence, when the IF function is used in a formula for multiple queries the following error appears: "wis10076". This problem does not happen in Desktop Intelligence. ADAPT In Web Intelligence, when users drill on an object that has char(10) included in the SELECT syntax, the data fails to be filtered correctly. The drill filter indicates that it is applying the "All Values" option to the object instead of applying the filter. ADAPT In the Member Selector for the DHTML viewer, no vertical scrollbar is available to let users scroll to view every top member. To solve the problem, both horizontal and vertical scrollbars appear in the Member Selector. ADAPT Page 24 of 130

25 When Business Views are imported from the Crystal Report Server, data connections are dropped. The problem is caused by an error in the query used by the Import Wizard. ADAPT When the language locale for Desktop Intelligence reports is set to Greek in InfoView, the calendar prompt fails to refresh the report. ADAPT When a Web Intelligence report is saved as PDF or Excel from the HTML View mode in InfoView, a space in the file name is replaced by an underscore. Spaces now remain in the file name. ADAPT In the Central Management Console (CMC), when users open a universe and click the Reset button, an error message appears: The page cannot be displayed. This problem happens in environments that use IBM Websphere. ADAPT An error message appears stating that two files with the same name cannot be opened at the same time when using opendocument.jsp to open Excel files. Page 25 of 130

26 ADAPT A Crystal report that is based on a Universe connection will fail to return results if the user enters a string parameter that contains single quotation marks instead of double quotation marks. The cause of the problem is that, in SQL, single quotation marks within a string causes a syntax error. Single quotation marks in a string parameter are now converted to double quotation marks when generating the SQL statement for the query. ADAPT When users apply ranking to a table by enabling the property Show with empty dimension, the ranking fails to be applied. This problem happens after Service Pack 2 has been installed. ADAPT The Import Wizard fails to import text files in UTF-8 if the files contain Groups that use quotaion marks in their names. This problem does not happen when importing ANSI characters. ADAPT When a Desktop Intelligence report is converted to a Web Intelligence report with the Report Conversion Tool (RCT), the data type is changed from Number to Unknown in RedHat Linux. 27 ADAPT If the Ceil() function is applied to a zero-value measure in a Desktop Intelligence report, a minus sign precedes each zero (-0) when the report is viewed in InfoView. This problem only occurs on Linux. ADAPT When a formula (or variable) is used as the output result in an Alerter that concatenates a character with a measure object, the result is always 1 when saved to Excel. Issue is resolved. The correct result is saved to Excel. ADAPT In Designer, when the option "View table values" is applied to a table, it takes longer to access a Microsoft SQL Server database when using an OLE DB connection, compared to when using an ODBC connection. ADAPT When a report job fails, an incorrect status code(327683) is inserted into the Auditing table. The problem is resolved. The correct status code(327682) is now inserted into the Auditing table when a report job fails. ADAPT When OLEDB connections are set to use KERBEROS, the connections fail with the message "Login failed for user. " The issue is resolved. Page 27 of 130

28 ADAPT In reports, numeric operands used in Block Filters are converted to scientific format if a drill filter is present in non-english Reports. The probem is resolved for all other languages including English. ADAPT When BusinessObjects Enterprise XI Release 2 is installed on a non-system drive (for example, the D: drive), and the Object Repository Helper from the Java Central Management Console (CMC) Launchpad is used to refresh report objects an error message appears. The error message is as follows: "An error occurred: An unexpected error has occurred" The file admin.war now includes a file named businessobjects_enterprise.properties, which is installed in the folder named "classes" in the installation directory for BusinessObjects Enterprise. This problem appears when both Service Pack 2.0 and FixPac 2.3 are installed. ADAPT The ActiveX viewer toolbar fails to properly display the total page count for reports that have more than 999 pages. ADAPT When exporting to PDF in the DHTML and Advaned DHTML viewers in a Web Sphere application server environment, the following error message appears when the PDF is opened: "There was an error opening this document. 30 ADAPT Date fields in the Prompts dialog of the Web Intelligence HTML viewer do not have a label that shows the acceptable input format if the date object does not have a List of Values. ADAPT The sorting feature for a block is permitted on dimensions that originate from a data provider that is not linked to the dimensions inside a block. To solve the problem, the sorting feature for a block is allowed only on items that exist within the block. ADAPT Compilation errors have been found when using epmsdk.java. ADAPT An error message appears in Crystal reports that are based on an Oracle native connection, use parameterized (date or datetime) command objects, and use cascading parameters. The error message indicates a failure in List of Values (LOV). The following error message appears: Your Web Intelligence session has timed out. Log out and log in again to Infoview. (Error: WIJ 77778). Known Limitations: Although the Web Intelligence Report Server no longer terminates unexpectedly, no data will be returned for Oracle reports that are based on UTF-8 characters and that use lossy data compression. Under those conditions, with this fix the following is now recorded in the error log: 2008/03/03 15:14: >> E **ERROR:C3_dacs:CS::Er ror : (CS) "Bad Value for Field : Corrupted UTF8 data!". [kc3cdbtbdacs.cpp;1975 ADAPT Users are permitted to view and remove universes without proper access rights to a Universe by using certain Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) setup options. With this fix, users will not even be permitted to view a Universe in EPM without proper access rights to that Universe. ADAPT A corporate dashboard folder can only be closed by the icon, not by using the folder text. The issue has been resolved. This problem happens after FixPack 2.3 has been installed. ADAPT In a Desktop Intelligence report, cells shift in a 2 level break when a user applies a center value accross break and fold options. ADAPT Desktop Intelligence reports with prompts do not retain the prompt value when a user clicks the Advanced button in InfoView. ADAPT The default log4j logging properties in Desktop Intelligence are overwritten when IBM Websphere 6.0 is installed. The cause of the problem is that properties from ca.jar file are being loaded by the analysisreportviewer servlet. To solve the problem, the default logging properties files are removed from the installation program to ensure that, this ensures that the the default log4j logging properties are not overwritten. 33 ADAPT An Excel file generated by 'Save to Excel', does not show grid lines (or column borders) when using pivot tables on top of it. The issue is resolved. ADAPT When a Desktop Intelligence report is converted to a Web Intelligence report with the Report Conversion Tool (RCT), the error message "#Error" may appear if the conversion process changes the variables in a formula. ADAPT The BREAK operator in the Percentage function for BusinessObjects XIR2 (Russian) fails to work correctly. The problem is resolved in this release. ADAPT The function that enables users to move objects fails to work properly when users move a universe from one folder to another. This problem happens when another universe has the same name as the one being moved. ADAPT The Y-Axis of a Goal Analytic will plot Y-Axis labels from 0 through Max (of probe data) instead of from Min to Max (of probe data), particularly when the data is less than 100. Page 33 of 130

34 ADAPT In Desktop Intelligence documents created in BusinessObjects 5.x and imported to BusinessObjects Enterprise Xl Release 2 Desktop Intelligence, the sort order for values in a column may be incorrect. This problem happens when the sort order is applied to a variable that is in the footer for a column break. In the original, BusinessObjects 5 Desktop Intelligence document the sort order is correct. ADAPT Table and cell borders appear differently in Infoview and Desktop Intelligence. Known Limitations: 1. The table border style which is used by customers is different from the border style which present in Desktop Intelligence border options. So, in Infoview the border is not visible. 2. In the case of a double border, if the cells which have double borders are present in the same table, then display of the cell is perfect. But if the cells are present in a different successive table then the border of succesive cells of two different tables will come as 4 instead of 2. This is the expected behaviour. Deleting borders on any of the adjacent cells would resolve the issue. ADAPT Prefix symbols in Group names, such as "<" and parenthesis characters, fail to appear in the Rights dialog box of the.net and Java Central Management Console while administrators attempt to grant rights to objects for those groups. ADAPT The 'Count All' metric aggregation function is not present in IBM DB2 Performance Management repositories. This issue is resolved for new repositories. Known Limitations: Page 34 of 130

The problem is resolved. Known Limitations: To enable this fix, Web Intelligence reports from BusinessObjects 2.7x must migrated to BusinessObjects Enterprise Xl Release 2 again by using the Import Wizard. Page 35 of 130

Issue is resolved ADAPT Crystal Reports that are based on Essbase fail to run or schedule, and then either an error message appears or the Page Server does a core dump. The error message that appears is as follows: "Error in File Unable to connect: incorrect log on parameters." Known Limitations: Users may need to set the following registry key (using Regedit) to "no" if the Page Server continues to do a core dump: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\software\Business Objects\Suite 11.5\Crystal Reports\DatabaseOptions\AlwaysAttemptOlapLogon ADAPT When Web Intelligence documents are exported to Comma Separated Value (CSV) format, they fail to conform to the CSV format conventions if the data contains quotes. ADAPT The numbers of universe query analytics displayed in dashboards do not reflect colors assigned to them in Universe Designer, and the color name is displayed along with the numbers. The colors for the numbers and tool tips appear correctly in the Interactive Metric Trend analytic and all of the Gauge analytics, and the color name no longer appears. ADAPT Page 36 of 130

ADAPT Users are unable to refresh a document or edit Data Providers in InfoView Desktop Intelligence in 3-tier mode after a linked or core Universe has been moved. ADAPT Calendar month and year have incorrect formats. ADAPT When a Web Intelligence report is scheduled, the prompt values fail to be retained after other schedule settings are updated. ADAPT In the Crystal Report Designer, when a report is exported to PDF, the PDF may be blank if the report has the Unicode Control character Left-To-Right character (character value 0x200E) in one of its fields. 39 Windows AD Single Sign On (SSO) fails if the Sharepoint Portal Integration Kit and the Crystal Management Server (CMS) are separated by a firewall that uses Network Address Translation. The following error message appears in the Business Objects portlet: "Unable to access the BusinessObjects Enterprise infrastructure at #### for user:. Contact your reporting administrator for assistance." ADAPT Report variables in a Desktop Intelligence document cannot be removed from the report using a Visual Basic macro to delete them. ADAPT In Crystal Reports Designer, a JDBC connection provides slower performance than an ODBC connection. ADAPT In Desktop Intelligence documents, negative values are displayed incorrectly in bar charts. ADAPT When users click a link to a Speedometer Analytic from an Interactive Metric Trend (IMT) report, the analytic may fail to open. This problem happens when the analytic uses a date prompt and the parameters are passed by openanalytic.jsp. Page 39 of 130

40 ADAPT The self-restricting join is lost from the query when an object that has the option FROM selected in the Advanced outer join menu and is used in the condition. The problem is resolved. ADAPT In Enterprise Performance Management (EPM), the scale of Y-axis and tooltips are incorrect when users choose the Metric type "% Change" in an Interactive Metric Trend. ADAPT When using the BusinessObjects Web Services SDK, when the List of Values ( LOV) option "RefreshReturnedLOVs" is set to false, LOV is refreshed and displayed in place of the saved LOV. ADAPT When only the servers for the Crystal Management Server (CMS) are restarted, other servers fail to properly re-register with the CMS cluster. This problem is caused by invalid information in the CMS cluster that exists on the server. To solve the problem, if the cluster information for the CMS is invalid, the server refreshes the cluster information and makes another attempt to log on to the CMS. ADAPT Page 40 of 130

41 Box objects that use a hairline (one pixel) border (including Dotted and Dashed lines) fail to be displayed properly at various levels of magnification in the Crystal Reports Windows Form Viewer. One or more borders of the box may fail to appear when the box is magnified. The cause of the problem is that the value for the border size is incorrectly calculated and passed as zero at higher levels of magnification. ADAPT When the Import wizard is used to import Web Intelligence documents from BusinessObjects 6.5x to BusinessObjects Enterprise Xl Release 2, an "e" is added to the value in a formula that is defined as a variable. For example, a value such as 1.25 is displayed as 1.25e. As a result, the variable is shown as #ERROR or #COMPUTATION error. ADAPT When a metric refresh with an event is triggered and followed by an analytic refresh, incorrect data is returned in the analytic. Events in the Rules Engine based on the AFScheduler program trigger after a short time delay, which means that the refresh of an analytic will happen after sixty seconds ADAPT On a Web Intelligence report, when users click the Advanced button (which refreshes the report) the following error message appears: "The query cannot run because the prompt 'Enter value for class code' contains an invalid numeric value." ADAPT Crystal Reports Explorer ignores the preferences being set and always goes to the Report tab as the default. Page 41 of 130

42 This problem is resoled. To enable this fix, users must take the following steps: 1. Open the desktop.war file in a text editor: - In Java Infoview, the desktop.war file is in the following directory: \WEB-INF\classes\META-INF\CrystalEnterprise.Webapps\ePortfolio\plugins\CrystalEnterprise.Report.xml. - In a default Tomcat deployment, desktop.war is in the following directory: C:\Program Files\Business Objects\Tomcat\webapps\businessobjects\enterprise115\desktoplaunch\WEB-INF\classes\META-INF\CrystalEnterprise.Web apps\eportfolio\plugins\crystalenterprise.report.xml. 2. Find the line "<path>/infoview/adhoc/modify.jsp</path>" and change it to "<path>/infoview/adhoc/modify.jsp? tab=usesettings</path>". 3. Restart the application server. ADAPT On HP-UX, when refreshing a Desktop Intelligence report using Stored Procedures via Infoview, we get the following error message: "No Server was available to process the request. Please try again later. (Error: RFC 00101) (Error INF)" The problem is resolved. ADAPT When scheduling Crystal reports to other formats such as Acrobat, Excel, or RTF, in Java InfoView the format options selected fail to be retained after the user navigates to another option. ADAPT When a Web Intelligence report with date field is scheduled to Excel from CMC, the date format is in en_us format even though the server locale is en_uk format. The same works fine if scheduled from Infoview. The problem is resolved now. The date format is displayed properly in UK format after scheduling to Excel from CMC. Page 42 of 130

43 ADAPT In Web Intelligence, the error message "#computation" may appear when users create a variable using a specific formula. The formula causing the error message is "=[Count of Stores] Where ([Customer Service Var to LY % foreach] ForEach ([Store ID])> 0)". ADAPT In Desktop Intelligence reports, negative values in a bar chart fail to be plotted below the zero line on the X-axis when the report is viewed in InfoView. ADAPT Scheduled web intelligence documents may skip their next scheduled run if an internal system error happens. To solve the problem, if an internal system error happens, the proper calculation is done for the next runtime during the retry of the scheduled document. This system ensures the next scheduled run will happen. ADAPT Siteminder 5.5 displays the logon page prompt in an ASP custom application when exporting a Crystal report to Microsoft Excel ADAPT When a Web Intelligence report that is linked from another Web Intelligence report on a Dashboard is opened, the report is blank when displayed in a Firefox Browser. ADAPT In the Performance Management Deployment Tool, when an imported calendar is used an server error message appears. The cause of the problem is that the PERIOD_TYPE property fails to be verified. ADAPT In Crystal Reports for BusiinessObjects Enterprise Xl Release 2, when exporting a report to Excel file, the "Wrap Text" cell formatting option is automatically enabled for text objects (including the Field heading), and the "Can Grow" option is cleared. To solve the problem, a new registry key is available to enable users to manually set or disable the Wrap Text property. Users must manually add the following registry key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Business Objects\Suite 11.5\Crystal Reports\Export\Excel\ExcelExporterAlwaysWrapMultiParagraphTextObjects If the value is "TRUE", the "Wrap Text" property is always set if the number of paragraphs is more than one. If the value is "FALSE", the "Wrap Text" property is set only when the "Can Grow" property has been manually enabled. ADAPT When users view or edit certain corrupt Web Intelligence reports, the Web Intelligence Report Server terminates unexpectedly. The problem happens when the corrupt WID file uses and object key that has an invalid length. The invalid length is passed to a read operation, which results in a memory access violation.
