1 Cncrdance and IPRO Camera Buttn / Backwards DB Link Setup When linking Cncrdance and IPRO, yu will need t update the DDEIVIEW.CPL file t establish the camera buttn. Setting up the camera buttn feature will autmatically launch the IPRO Premium Viewer, retrieve the image and allw the backwards link t be activated frm the IPRO Premium Viewer. T edit the DDEIVIEW.CPL file, bring the Cncrdance applicatin up and cmplete the fllwing steps. Select File Edit Prgram. This will bring up the pen dialg bx. Brwse ut t the DDEIVIEW.CPL file and click Open. This will retrieve the DDEIVIEW.CPL file in the CPL Editr prgram. Frm the Search pull dwn menu in the CPL Editr, select the Search ptin. In the Find What bx, type the wrd Spawn and click Find Next. This will find the first instance f Spawn in the DDEIVIEW.CPL file. At the spawn line, yu will need t edit the path t the I2kprem.exe file. Either use the UNC (Universal Naming Cnventin) path r a drive letter specificatin. Fr example: \\ipr\apps\i2kprem.exe r F:\APPS\i2kprem.exe. After cmpleting the abve items, yu will need t edit the IPRO Prject Setup. Open the IPRO Tech Cnfiguratin Prgram Select Prject Setup Click the View buttn t select the prject In the Database Link Field enter the name f the field name in the Cncrdance database that hlds the beginning image key. Fr Example: BEGNO. Click Save and Exit t cmplete. TD-1

2 IPRO / Summatin Link Setup (Fr Summatin v1.x / 2.x) Summatin Iblaze and Summatin LG Gld users can view IPROView Premium images frm a Summatin database as well as highlighted searches, if OCR Text is laded in the IPROView Premium prject. T link IPROView Premium with Summatin, perfrm the fllwing steps: After installing Summatin, execute the prgram. This creates the necessary settings fr the IPRO-supplied scripts t run. Build a case and lad data int a Summatin database Identify the Summatin database field that will link t the IPROView Premium. T d this, select Optins Defaults and click the Link Fields tab. In the Linked Dcument Field sectin, enter r select the crrect field in the Dc Link bx (usually DOCLINK). Befre yu use the Summatin / IPROView Premium link, yu must install the scripts. T install the scripts fr Summatin and IPROView Premium, perfrm the fllwing steps: In Windws Explrer, navigate t the iblaze subdirectry under the IPRO Tech system directry. Duble-click the iprblaze.exe. A message windw states that the scripts need t be installed. Click install. The installatin script will run. When it is thrugh, a message windw appears stating that the IPROView Scripts are nw installed int Summatin. Nw that the scripts are installed, yu will need t assciate the scripts with each Summatin case that will be linked t IPROView Premium. T assciate the scripts, perfrm the fllwing steps: Start Summatin. Open the case yu wish t link with IPROView Premium. Frm the Script pull dwn menu, select Manage Script Add-Ons. This will pen the Script Add Ons dialg bx. Under the Registered Add Ons clumn, IPRO View will appear. Click n IPRO View nce and then click the >> t mve it t the Cas Add Ons clumn. Then click OK The IPRO Prject dialg bx will appear. Enter the IPRO Prject Name fr this case. The name will need t be exactly the same as it is in the IPRO Prject selectin list. IPROView Premium shuld launch nce yu click OK and retrieve an image. TD-2

3 IPROBuild Crss Reference Files DID YOU KNOW THAT When running buildnew n a prject, selecting the re-number ptin will autmatically create tw crss- reference files. These files will be lcated in the directry t which the buildnew prject was prcessed. Fr example: Prcess the buildnew prject t c:\buildnew\ If the prject name assigned is IPROTECH There is an IPROTECH directry under the buildnew directry Within that directry will be bth a *.XFD and *.XFS file. The *.XFD file tracks the riginal dcument image key number in the prject and the new number assigned during the utput prcess. An example is shwn belw. 4 Imprting Images int IPROScan Applicatins DID YOU KNOW THAT The IPROScan applicatins nw supprt the imprt f images int a prject. This feature will then allw dcument breaks, tags and re-numbering f the image cllectin. T d this, fllw the steps belw: Create a prject in the IPROScan applicatin Click the Scan icn frm the scan main menu Click File Scan a Batch Create a new batch fr scanning Enter the starting image key fr the batch Click the Optins buttn n the Scan Panel Click the Imprt Images ptin Navigate t the directry that hlds the images fr imprtatin Either click the Imprt All Files buttn r the Imprt Selected Files buttn Perfrm QC steps and cmmit as usual. Nte: If the images being imprted were scanned capturing IPRO Prep Sheets, the IPROScan applicatins will use thse prep sheets t capture fields that were selected n the prep sheet. TD-4

5 Hw d I create an IPROView prject with an SFP file? An IPRO viewing prject can be created frm and SFP file r manually. In mst cases an IPRO LFP file will be prvided t lad the image key data and lcatin int the IPRO viewing system. 1. Frm the IPRO Tech Launcher menu, chse Cnfigure and Lad > IPRO Tech Cnfiguratin Prgram. 2. Frm the IPRO Tech Cnfiguratin Prgram menu, chse Prject Setup t display the Prject Setup dialg bx. 3. At the tp f the Prject Setup dialg bx, chse File > Imprt Prject Definitin and navigate t the directry cntaining the SFP file. Save the prject setup and exit. 4. Chse Utilities > Launch Utilities Prgram frm the Cnfiguratin prgram menu. 5. Chse File > Select Prject and select the prject yu created. 6. Chse Imprt > Imprt LFP file frm the Utility prgram menu t display the Imprt LFP File dialg bx. 7. Click next t the Imprt File bx, navigate t the LFP file, and click Imprt. 8. Click next t the Errr File bx and navigate t the lcatin where yu want the errr file. 9. Click Imprt. A windw will shw that the LFP file is being prcessed. 10. After the LFP file imprts, chse ne f the methds belw depending n where the images are lcated: If the images are n CD-ROM, chse Imprt > Search Platter fr Images t update the vlume lcatin. If the images are n a netwrk r lcal hard drive, chse Imprt > Direct Access Vlume Path. Type the vlume name fr the images and put in the path, including the vlume name fr the images. TD-5

6 Printing frm IPROView Premium T get rated speed when printing images frm the IPROView Premium the fllwing criteria shuld be met: WORKSTATION SETUP Need t have at least 128MB RAM installed Be sure the printer driver that yu are using supprts a quality f 300 DPI (IE PCL5E) and 300 DPI is selected PRINTER PANEL CONFIGURATION A wide range f printers are supprted. HP8100 and Cann ImageRUNNER are cmmnly used Make sure the printer has a minimum f 64 MB RAM installed Frm the cntrl panel f the printer select PRINT QUALITY ptin and cnfirm that it is set t 300 DPI Frm the I/O ptin set the buffering t at least 2000k TD-6

7 Cncrdance Viewer Preferences DID YOU KNOW THAT There is an ptin in Cncrdance t Apply Settings t: in the Viewer Tab, under Tls Preferences. If that is set t All Databases but there is a field set under the Current Database ptin, then the link will nt wrk. T reslve this issue, clear all fields under the Current Database ptin and then set the ptin back t All Databases. If yu want t use IPROView Premium fr nly sme Cncrdance databases, then set up the Current Database tab fr each database that will be linked t IPROView Premium. TD-7
