2 Workspot Enterprise Connector The Enterprise Connector (EC) is software that runs as a service on a Windows Server machine in the datacenter that integrates Workspot Control with on premise resources. The Enterprise Connector communicates with Workspot Control on an outbound HTTPS connection. The following integrations are currently supported: Active Directory integration: Sync deleted and disabled users to Workspot Control. Enable Active Directory user search for virtual desktop assignments. For more information, see the Configuration Guide for Active Directory Integration. Nutanix Prism integration: Enable virtual desktops provisioning on Nutanix deployment. For more information, see the Configuration Guide for Nutanix Integration. Prerequisites 1. A server machine on which to install the EC: o Windows Server 2008 R2 or higher o Member of the Windows domain o Minimum of 4 GB of memory (the EC will use ¼ of the available free memory or 1GB, which is less). o 250 MB of free disk space for installation and runtime usage. o It is not recommended to install the EC on the domain controller. 2. Server machine must have outbound connection over HTTPS to: o Workspot Control o Amazon S bit Java JRE 8, from the Java website: download and install the Windows Offline (64-bit) version. 4. Windows PowerShell 2.0 or above, available by default with Server 2008 and higher. 5. A domain account with admin privileges to install the EC. The installer will ask for admin privileges, if run as non-admin. This domain account will also be used to create the service account necessary to run the EC. 6. Create a service account in Active Directory and add the user account to the local administrator group of the EC server. Version 2.0 pg. 1 of 5

3 Configuring and Installing the Workspot Enterprise Connector To configure and install the Workspot Enterprise Connector (EC), use the domain-joined server where the EC will be installed, then from that server using a browser, sign into Workspot Control as an administrator. 1. Create the connector configuration, go to Company > Connector (Beta) > Add Connector Note: This is an optional feature, if you do not see the Connector (Beta) tab, please contact mailto:support@workspot.com Enter a Name for the configuration. 2. Once the Connector configuration is created, select and copy the Integration Key to the clipboard, which will be used later during the connector installation. 3. Click the Download button to download the Enterprise Connector installer. Version 2.0 pg. 2 of 5

4 4. From the downloads folder, run the Enterprise Connector executable, then click Yes to install. Click Next. Click Install. Version 2.0 pg. 3 of 5

5 Paste the Integration Key from the clipboard (step 2), then enter the Domain, and the EC service account user credentials, then click Next. Click Finish to complete the installation. Version 2.0 pg. 4 of 5

6 5. In Workspot Control, go to Company > Connector (beta) to check the connector status. If installed and configured correctly, the status will show Connected as shown below. 6.
