3 Introduction This guide will outline the steps required to connect your specific device to the St. Andrew s Toowoomba Hospital wireless network. As there are too many devices to provide instructions for, only the most common device types are listed. Android Devices You need to open the Settings area of your phone From this screen, you need to select the Wireless & networks menu option From this screen, you need to select the Wi-Fi settings menu option
4 In this screen, you want to ensure that the Wi-Fi option is ticked and then select the Add Wi-Fi network menu option In this screen, you need to set the following: SSID is SATH Security is 802.1x Enterprise EAP method is PEAP Phase 2 authentication is MSCHAPV2 Scroll down and enter the following details: Identity is the username provided Wireless password is the password provided Click on the Save button
5 Your device should now show that it is Connecting... to SATH If you have been successful, your device should now show that it is Connected to SATH
6 Apple Devices ipad, iphone & ipod You need to open the Settings area of your device From this screen, you need to select the Wi-Fi menu option In this screen, you want to ensure that the Wi-Fi option is ON and then select the SATH network option Enter the following details: Username is the username provided Password is the password provided Click on Join
7 You will then be warned about a certificate from ws.sath.org.au which expires on 24/11/2019 4:24:31 PM and is Not Verified. Click on the Accept button If you have been successful, your device should now show a tick next to the SATH network
8 Macbook You need to open Network Preferences From this screen, you need to select the SATH wireless network Enter the following details: name is the username provided password is the password provided Click on OK If you have been successful, your device should now show a tick next to the SATH network in the Network Preferences If the connection fails, you will need to turn Airport off and go into the Advanced Settings of the Network Preferences Add the following 802.1X User Profile with the following settings: Name is SATH User Name is the username provided Password is the password provided Wireless Network is SATH Security Type is WPA-Enterprise Untick the TTLS checkbox Click on OK Reactivate Airport and the connection should now be successful
9 Windows Devices This guide assumes that you are using Microsoft Windows to manage your wireless connections Windows 7 You need to click on the Start button Click on the Control Panel menu option Double click on the Network and Sharing Centre icon Click on the Manage wireless networks link on the left side of the window Click on the Add... button on the left side of the window Click on Manually create a network profile Network name is SATH Security is WPA-Enterprise Encryption type is AES Tick the Start this connection automatically checkbox Click on the Next button Click on the Change connection settings button
10 Select the Security tab authentication method is Microsoft: Protected EAP (PEAP) Click on the Settings button Select Authentication Method is Secured password (EAP-MSCHAP v2) Tick the Enable Fast Reconnect checkbox Click on the Configure... button Click on the OK button for the EAP MSCHAP v2 Properties window Click on the OK button for the Protected EAP Properties window On the SATH Wireless Network properties window click on the Advanced settings button Tick the Specify authentication mode checkbox Select User authentication in the drop down list Click on the OK button for the Advanced settings window Click on the OK button for the SATH Wireless Network Properties window Enter your username and password as provided Click on the OK button If you have been successful, your laptop should now show that you are Connected to the SATH wireless network
11 Windows Vista You need to click on the Start button Click on the Control Panel menu option Double click on the Network and Sharing Centre icon Click on the Manage wireless networks link on the left side of the window Click on the Add... button on the left side of the window Click on Manually create a network profile Network name is SATH Security is WPA-Enterprise Encryption type is AES Tick the Start this connection automatically checkbox Click on the Next button Click on the Change connection settings button

13 Windows XP You need to click on the Start button Click on the Control Panel menu option Double click on the Network Connections icon Ensure that your wireless network device is enabled Double click on your wireless network Click on the Change advanced settings link on the left side of the window Click on the Add... button towards the bottom of the window Network name (SSID) is SATH Security is WPA Data encryption is AES Select the Authentication tab EAP type is Protected EAP (PEAP) Click on the Properties button
14 Select Authentication Method is Secured password (EAP-MSCHAP v2) Tick the Enable Fast Reconnect checkbox Click on the Configure... button Click on the OK button for the EAP MSCHAP v2 Properties window Click on the OK button for the Protected EAP Properties window Click on the OK button for the Wireless network properties window You should now have the Wireless Network Connection Properties window displayed and showing the SATH (Automatic) network in your list of Preferred networks Click on the OK button Enter your username and password as provided Click on the OK button If you have been successful, your laptop should now show that you are Connected to the SATH wireless network
