The HDW Order App contains HDW s complete catalog, which can be updated via the Internet. You can load the Houston catalog and/or the Marshall/Greenwood catalog. There are five tabs available Search, Category, Vendor, Orders and Update. HDW Order App V4.1 Page 1

3 Using the App Any screen that has an arrow > can be swiped to reveal additional item information. If your phone is not connected to Wi-Fi, data charges may apply. HDW Order App V4.1 Page 2

4 Update Tab Use the Update tab to configure communications, update the catalog and control how information is presented. After you install the app for this first time, this is the only tab you will see until you configure the Website Login Info and download a catalog. Options: Update Database Click this button to update your catalog. Houston / Marshall Select the warehouse you want to search and order from. Hide Cost - Prevents the cost from being displayed (see Search Tab for examples). Use Internet for item detail Displays additional information not available in the Order App file (see Item Detail Screen). You must have Internet access to use this option. Expanded Item Grid Displays the items image in the item grid (see Search Tab for examples). Once a search is complete and the item information is presented, the images will then begin loading. You may scroll through the item selection during this process. Response time will depend on your devices CPU speed and Internet speed. HDW Order App V4.1 Page 3

5 Website Login Info Displays the website login screen, shown here. Use the Website Login Info screen to setup your store number, user name, password and Auto Finalize. The setting above will match the warehouse you previously selected. If you want to connect to both Houston and Marshall, you will have to enter both sets of credentials. You must enter this information and update the catalog before you can perform a search or order product. This is the same profile you use to connect to or If Auto Finalize is No, your order will go to the website cart. You will have to login and finalize your order on the website. Options: Cancel Closes the screen without saving information. Save Saves the information entered. Reset Clears all fields. Test Performs a connection test using the credentials entered. 6 Search Tab The Search tab allows you to search by sku, UPC, item description, manufacturer part number, fine line description and fine line sub description. The item grid displays the sku, break code, pack quantity, cost (if enabled) and item description. Search Tab Swipe the screen to the right to see detailed item information (see Item Detail). 8 Category Tab Search for items by department, class and subclass with the Category tab. Start by selecting the desired department. You will then be presented with the fine line classes for that department. Once you select the fine line, all available fine line sub-classes will appear. The item grid displays the sku, break code, pack quantity, cost (if enabled) and item description. Swipe the screen to the right to see detailed item information (see Item Detail). Enter the quantity and click the Add To Po button to add the item to your order. HDW Order App V4.1 Page 7

9 Vendors Tab The Vendor Tab displays all items for a selected vendor. Click the First Letter (F.L.) dropdown box to display the vendors starting letters/numbers. Select a letter and the Vendor dropdown box will show all vendors beginning with that letter. Select the vendor and the items associated with that vendor will appear. HDW Order App V4.1 Page 8

10 Item Detail The Item Detail page displays expanded item information. The information displayed depends on the Use Internet for item detail option in the Update Tab. Houston and Marshall expanded item information may appear different. 11 Orders Tab The Orders Tab contains your current order. Only one order per warehouse is allowed at one time. The order grid displays the sku, quantity ordered, extended cost (if enabled) and item description. The total order amount is displayed in the bottom right corner of the screen. Total Order Amount Options: Item: Qty: Enter the sku or UPC you wish to order. Enter the desired order quantity. +: Adds the item to your order. Delete: Deletes the selected item from your order. Clear All: Deletes all items from your order (required prior to starting a new order). Your order does not get cleared with a successful transmission you must clear the order prior to starting a new one. Send: Send your order to HDW. HDW Order App V4.1 Page 10

12 Order Header Enter the purchase order information for your order on the Order Header screen. Options: P.O. Nbr: Ship Type: Promo Nbr: Ship Date: Cancel: Send: - Enter the desired purchase order number. - How your order ships (Truck, Pickup, Fed-Ex, Will Call, etc.). - The promotion number you want applied to the order. - Enter a future ship date to delay shipment of your order. Do not change the date if you want the order on your next truck. - Closes the Order Header screen and returns you to the Orders Tab. - Send this order. HDW Order App V4.1 Page 11

13 Scan With the Scan option, you can use your device s camera to capture an item s barcode and convert it to the corresponding sku for ordering. Click the camera button on the Search or Orders screen to activate the camera. You do not have to take a picture the software will recognize the barcode and convert the UPC into the corresponding HDW sku. Android users must hold their camera vertically to capture barcodes.
