LIVE TV Goes to live TV, regardless of what s currently selected. Basic Controls 5. VOLUME Increase or decrease the volume. 6. CHANNEL Go up or down a single channel. 7. MUTE Turn the sound on and off. 8. LAST Return to the last channel viewed. 16 clear 0 enter 17

Menu Navigation 9. INFO Brings up an action menu of options related to the selected item. 10. ARROWS Navigate through the Menu Screen. 11. ZOOM Alternates between full screen and the main menu. Also turns the SuperTicker on and off. 12. OK Begins playing the selected item or executes an option in an action menu. 13. BACK Takes a vertical list displaying TV programming back to the previous half hour. Also pages back through an info note and backs out of a second-level menu. 14. NEXT Takes a vertical list displaying TV programming forward to the next half hour. Also pages forward through an info note. 15. NUMBER KEYS Entering numbers will take you directly to the corresponding channel. 16. CLEAR Deletes one letter or number when entering typed information. Also removes the Flip Bar. 17. ENTER Enters number or text entries. Player Controls Control your recorded or live program with the following buttons: 18. MENU From wherever you are, MENU returns you one step at a time toward the top level of the main menu. 19. PLAY Begins playing the TV show or media file selected. 20. REPLAY Rewinds seven seconds. Also takes a vertical list of TV programming back in time 24 hours. 21. SKIP Skips forward the number of seconds that you predefine in settings. Also takes a vertical list of TV programming forward in time 24 hours. 22. REWIND Press up to three times (for three speeds) to rewind the show. 23. FAST-FORWARD Press up to three times (for three speeds) to fast-forward. 24. PAUSE Pauses the show you are watching. 25. RECORD Press RECORD while watching a show or with a show in focus to record. 26. STOP Exits out of a recorded show or stops a recording in progress.

Smart Menu Navigation The Main Menu Layout 1 This is the first screen you will see when you press the MENU button. 1. HORIZONTAL BAND Once you ve pressed the MENU button to bring up the main menu, the top level of choices will appear in a horizontal band; use the left and right arrow buttons to browse through your choices. There are a couple of features to be aware of with the horizontal categories: Auto Expand When you select one of the icons on the horizontal band, all of the choices in that category will open up in a vertical list. Navigation Fade Back When a vertical list appears, the horizontal navigation fades. Simply pressing the left or right arrow buttons will bring the horizontal menu back.

2 3 4 6 5 7 2. TIME With the current time, you ll know when your show begins. 3. CURRENT CHANNEL Displays the channel that is playing in Mini TV. If the program is recorded, an icon will display the current status - i.e., play or pause. 4. MINI TV Lets you keep watching your program while you browse. 5. SELECTION The currently selected item appears raised and highlighted. 6. VERTICAL LIST Contains all of the items in the current category. 7. INFO PANEL Depending on the selected item, this area either provides more information about that item or a selection of choices for that item.

Category Icons Press the MENU button on the remote to access the Smart Menu. Use the right and left arrow buttons to scroll through the categories. Options will automatically pop up for each category when you pause on its icon. Channels A vertical menu that lists all available channels. Recorded TV A list of all of the programs you ve recorded. Search Options to search for programs by title, keyword or category. Home Network An easy way to enjoy media stored on your computer from the comfort of your TV. Photos A category to browse personal photos on your TV. Settings Options to customize the guide. Messages A place to receive messages about Shentel services and updates. Phone A list of recent phone calls from your incoming lines. Music Listen to music from your computer News Find all available news channels and current news programming. Kids Find all available children s programming. Sports Find all available sports programming. Movies Find all available movies, including live and recorded TV. HDTV Find all available high-definition content. TV Music Find all available music channels Favorites Create a category of all your favorite TV, video, photo and music content.

Finding Shows Filters The main menu contains a group of filters that only show you the types of programs for that category. Filters include TV Music, News, Kids, Sports, Movies and HD. Each filter will display live TV as well as recorded, and PPV programs that fit that category. You can even create a custom Favorites category with easy access to the channels you watch the most. Search You can also use the search feature to look for specific programming. There are three different ways to search for programming: By title, keyword, and category. Enter the search term by selecting characters using the on screen keyboard, or you can use your remote number pad to enter numbers, as you would on a mobile phone. (For example, by pressing 222 on your remote control you will enter the letter C. By pressing 33, you will enter the letter E). CLEAR - Clears the entire entry 0 - Enters a space 1 - Enters a backspace Recording Shows Recorded TV All of the recorded and currently recording shows are listed in the Recorded TV category. The following icons let you know the status of all your recorded shows at a glance: The show is recording right now. The show is scheduled to be recorded. The show is recorded and may be deleted when space is needed. The show is recorded and can only be deleted manually. How to Record Programming When you are watching the program you wish to record: Simply press the RECORD button. You may also press the INFO button, which will give you the option to record one episode, or the entire series. Through TV Channel category: Find the program by scrolling through the TV Channel Lineup and press the INFO button, which will give you the option to record one episode or the entire series. Through the Search: Search for your show with a keyword, title or category. Select your show in the results list and press the OK button, which will give you the option to record one episode, or the entire series.

Sharing Photos from Other Devices 1. Make sure your device (laptop, smarthphone, tablet, etc.) is connected to the wifi signal provided by the Maestro. 2. On the Maestro guide, select the Home Network icon. You should see a list of all connected devices. If one isn t showing up, select Search for Media Servers and choose Search. If connected properly, any new devices will then appear. 3. Select the device from which you wish to view content and press OK. To open a folder of content, press OK. If you have an individual file selected that you would like to play, press OK. If you have a folder selected, and you would like to view a list of options for the content of that folder, press INFO. 4. Once you are viewing content from other devices, you may use the controls on the remote to pause, play, go forwards and backwards through slideshows, and more. The Flip Bar When you re watching full-screen TV, the Flip Bar is your mini menu which shows up as a single bar across the bottom of the screen. It can give details about the current show, what s on next and what s on other channels. To activate: The flip bar will auto activate when you change channels. You can also access it by pressing OK while watching full-screen TV. See what s on other channels: Press the up and down arrows while the Flip Bar is activated to change what channel information is displayed. See what s coming on next: On the right, you ll see what s coming up next for the channel displayed in the Flip Bar. You can see further into the future by pressing the right arrow button to highlight that panel and then using the up and down arrow buttons to scroll through programming. Get more options about the selected show: Press INFO to get an action menu for the selected show. Hide the Flip Bar: The Flip Bar will automatically disappear after five seconds, but you can force it to go away by pressing CLEAR.
