Hemispheres (Salon E1) (Dolphin) Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort Orlando, Florida Autodesk Architectural Desktop Real-World Workflow Methodology Edward Goldberg, AIA, NCARB - HEGRA BD35-1 In this presentation, you will be taken through all the steps of a work-flow methodology from start through to finished construction documentation, using, as an example, a real-world, rehabilitation project currently under construction that was designed by the presenter using Architectural Desktop 2006. Step one illustrates the replication of existing conditions, followed by creation of concept drawings, a mass model and renderings, and finally, the construction documents. Creation of a building information model (BIM) will also be demonstrated in this all-3d project. About the Speaker: Edward has enjoyed a 30-year professional career as a practicing licensed architect, industrial designer, AEC industry analyst, author, and educator. He is currently principal of his own Baltimorebased architecture/ construction management firm, HEGRA. Ed is in his ninth year as contributing editor for CADalyst magazine. One of the few practicing professionals who write on the subject of digital technology for architects, he is a leading hands-on authority. Ed has lectured at various industry conferences including the AIA National Convention, AEC Systems, and Computers for Construction. He held a post as coordinator of CAD and Multimedia at Carroll Community College from 1994 to 2000, and as coordinator of the Industrial Design Program at Towson University, from 2000 to 2003. A published author, Ed has written 4 books on Autodesk Architectural Desktop, versions 3.3, 2004, 2005 and 2006 respectively.
