Software Features Details Tour editor This new waypoint handling enables the user to enter up to 10 accumulated destinations for one tour. In addition, he store up to 7 different tours in a separate memory. Semi-3D map display with angle adjustment This new functionality allows to tilt the map in the following angles: 55 / 58 / 61 (System default) / 64 Map auto-scale function The automatic scale change lets the system select between 3 user definable scales. Depending if the car is located down-town, in a rural area or on a motorway, the scale changes automatically to the according value (e.g. 1km / 500m / 200m). The auto-scale is off by default. 3D map scroll and turn function One can now do free scrolling in 3D map. The graphic is handled in the systems RAM. Hence it reacts very fast and seamless. Further, it is now possible to have different map directions for 2D an 3D view. This eases the operation between cartographical and driving map view. 9
Hardware Features Details 2 SD-card slots Both slots can be used for map(s) and / or travel info products. Travel info products can be used independent from an available map. Navigation is than of cause not available. However, PC 5200pro is not capable to navigate between two independent databases. Angle independent installation Due to the fact, that PC 5200pro has no longer a drive mechanism integrated, it is possible to install it in any desired angle. However, for an up-side-down mounting, it's required to make an according setting in the diagnosis menu Image offset An alignment of the horizontal picture position is now possible in the diagnosis menu. The default value is optimised for MM 5200, setting 2 is for MM 5000, 5300, 5500 and 5600. 10
Additional Features Details PC 5200pro has a 180 turnable gyro for horizontal and vertical mounting Additional split screen map/trip computer (Speed, average speed, driven distance, journey time) Get pure GPS position (time, speed, altitude, number of satellites and Dilution of Precision values) additionally to the highly precise map matched position Display icon (letter) or/and ASCII characters in the status line Request the planed route list Added 50 meters scale in map presentation 11

Important Remarks No navigation between independent databases No Navigation from one to another map database, independent if these databases are stored on the same or different SD-cards. Data formats to run on PC 5200pro The unit can handle only its own data format. It is neither possible to show photo images nor playback MP3 or other entertainment files. Further, PC 5200pro uses a different format than PC5700pro. Discontinuation of communication devices SV does no longer support communication devices. Hence, the software for such units is kept out. Free TMC Pay TMC Due to the fact, that the PC 5200pro is a None-C-IQ system, it is in its first release a Free-TMC only product. At a later stage the Pay&Free TMC version will be launched. In its hardware cost the royalties are included. It will include reception for GB (IT IS), F (Mediamobile) and D (TMCpro) 15
Background Info - TMC 1. Data related to: traffic flows, incidents, weather etc. Are gathered from: traffic monitoring systems, emergency services, motorists' calls, etc. 2. These data are collated at a central traffic information centre and then passed to the TMC traffic information service provider. 3. The provider generates TMC messages according to the ALERT-C coding protocol and sends the coded messages to the appropriate FM radio broadcaster for transmission as an RDS (Radio Data System) signal within normal FM radio transmissions. 4. The TMC data are received by the navigation system and decoded by its TMC decoder. 16
